We have been so blessed with considerable rains during the period January - March
2014, and so nature is now in full bloom. Just as the seasons begin to change, so is Head
Office going through a positive transition.
As of 1 March 2014, we are now the proud owners of DC Laboratories, along with the
resident formulation scientists. We look forward to launching even more new products
about which your Marketer will keep you informed. An exciting new addition to our
range is the BB cream (see page 25), a moisturising agent which will assist with
softening and smoothing skin texture. It contains a hint of foundation and may also
assist in the treatment of anti-ageing.
Remaining at the forefront of beauty technology, we have developed a Youth Mask to
be applied to the face at night and which will assist with delaying the ageing process
while you are asleep. More information may be found on page 33.
Looking and smelling good brings out the best in every person as this radiates selfconfidence and also expresses one's personality. We have expanded our range of
fragrances with G-MAN and G-GIRL and these were officially launched on 30 November
2013 at an exclusive celebratory event. Over time perfume has always been regarded
as a fashion statement exuding true poise and sophistication. Be sure to look out for our
special offer available during the month of June 2014.

Skin Type vs Skin Condition
People often get confused with skin conditions
and skin types. Your skin type is determined by
your genes. That is the type of skin that you were
born with, e.g. dry, oily or normal, but might
change during puberty or menopause. Skin
conditions e.g. pigmentation, dehydration and
acne are often created by the wrong skin care
routine or environmental damage.
Ask your marketer to re-evalute your skin
regularly and adapt your skin care routine to your
skin’s changing needs.

Step 1: Cleanse

First Cleanse
Gently removes superficial impurities and makeup from the skin. Ordinary soap is harsh on the
skin and can upset the acid balance and damage
the natural oily layer. The Cleansing Bars has a
glycerine base which is hypo-allergenic and
soothing on the skin.
Second Cleanse
Cleanses and removes oil-based dirt. The Deep
Cleansers contains emulsifiers that gently
removes all impurities to prevent clogging of
pores. It is essential to deep cleanse the skin
without stripping it of moisture and natural oils.

Step 3: Moisturise & Nourish
Moisturising and nourishing creams are
essential, it is a great way to keep your skin
looking resilient. There is a variety of eye
care products, serums, special treatments,
moisturisers and nourishers specially
formulated to address all skin types and
conditions.
Bright sunlight and dry weather dehydrates and dries
the skin which can cause premature ageing,
hyperpigmentation, sensitivity and sun damage. A
moisturising treatment is suitable for a dehydrated
skin, lacking moisture. A nourishing treatment is richer
and is suitable for a dry skin, lacking oil.

Restoring the balance and refreshing

Toners restore the pH balance of the
skin, which boosts its immunity and
prevents bacterial infection. To ensure
optimal penetration of products to
follow, the natural pH of your skin needs
to be restored.

Dehydration
Dehydration is one of the most common skin
conditions found in all skin types and is a
precursor to premature ageing. It occurs
when the skin lacks moisture. The skin
appears to be thin, with flaky patches,
feeling tight and stings when products are
applied. The skin is aggravated by external
factors such as air-conditioning, sun
exposure, heaters and incorrect skin care
products. Neglecting to drink enough water
is also a major contributing factor. The
