Scovill’s history began in 1802 and includes many “firsts” such as the development
of gilt buttons in the United States and the invention of new brass-making

Technical Support and Field Service
Our experienced staff of field service technicians and specialists provide support
to customers around the world. Our collaboration with customers allows us to
recommend the most appropriate fasteners and attaching machines for specific
applications. Scovill’s service team also provides technical training for operators at
customer production facilities. Equipment professionals at our global headquarters in
the US recondition existing equipment and build new machines. Our focus on technical

Fastener Application Lab
Global technicians and specialists use advanced equipment to perform prototype
evaluations and ensure fasteners perform to stringent standards including attached
component separation strength and snap action. Our Piece of Mind Attaching
System (PMAS) offers Garment Check Reports and Press Fastener Data Sheets
that provide details on recommended products and foundation thicknesses for all
fastener applications. Our approach to fastening solutions includes collaboration
with customers and extensive application analysis capabilities.
Sample Development Lab and Design Team
Our product design specialists transform ideas and concepts into functional fasteners.
Prototypes and samples are efficiently developed to allow customers to meet critical

Duramark® Tack Buttons and Burrs are a vital part of our broad Jeanswear product offering that enhances denim’s dual
reputation for style and durability. Encompassing both the Infantwear and Workwear markets, our Gripper® Snap
Fasteners have been an industry leader for more than 75 years. Extensive trim resources are also available including
zippers, sew-on buttons, plastic snaps and hook and bar. Our products meet and often exceed US and EU regulations.
Industrial
Our products are manufactured to specifications that support applications where dimensional integrity, performance,
consistency and durability are crucial. Scovill’s DOT® products have been the closures of choice for more than 100 years.
These fasteners are used on applications in the Military, Marine, Sporting Goods, Automotive, Aviation and Industrial
Safety industries, as well as on products such as tents and awnings, packaging and leather goods. Customers utilize our
industrial snap fasteners, turn buttons, grommets and washers to provide strength and heavy-duty wear in harsh
conditions. Our DOT products conform to stringent US Military and Commercial specifications.
Attaching Machines
Our broad range of attaching equipment offers reliability, operator safety and speed. This product offering provides
automatic, semi-automatic or manual attaching machines, assorted tooling and various accessories such as hoppers and
target lighting. Attaching machines are designed and assembled at our global headquarters in the US with additional
options supplied around the world. Wherever our customers are, our staff of technicians and specialists make installation,
training and maintenance convenient and cost-effective.
Custom Metal Stamping
Our precision custom stamping capabilities provide full service product and tooling design. The custom stamping staff
includes design and industrial engineers, skilled tool makers and setters and quality control technicians that are committed
to meeting specific customer needs. These skilled professionals work to ensure design specifications are met to support
industries that require products such as battery components, lighting instrument elements, diagnostic studs, industrial
clips and various other customized specialty fasteners.
