New Brunswick`s City Argo Motorsports – Ski
New Brunswick’s City Argo Motorsports – Ski-Doo – wins 2012
Canadian Snowmobile Dealer of the Year.
At the 44th International Snowmobile Congress, our New Brunswick Ski-Doo dealer for the Miramichi
region was awarded as the Canadian Snowmobile Dealer of the Year, for all of Canada. City Argo
Motorsports is proudly owned and managed by Mark and Kim McDonald.
Making the announcement at Congress was Steven McLellan, President of the Canadian Council of
Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO). City Argo Motorsports was chosen above all entries received for all
snowmobile dealerships across Canada. The CCSO annually recognizes national award winners, from all
Canadian member Associations and Federations.
Mark and Kim were pleased to accompany the NBFSC and the province’s Tourism department to the
Congress in Massachusetts and accept the National Award. Mark and Kim, in front of 500 delegates,
manufacturers, media and volunteers thanked their staff and their loyal customers for the success they
have sustained.
Mark’s submission and story goes like this:
His first snowmobile was when he was 16 years old, a Ski-Doo Olympique. Later, he also acquired and
rode a Ski-roule snowmobile later, “that was a mistake.” Mark was absent from sledding until 1999
when he purchased another new Ski-Doo for that season. A year later he purchased two more new SkiDoo’s.
Mark & Kim began their current business in 2001 where they held the franchise for Argo; amphibious
UTVs. In 2002 they added the BRP lines for Ski-Doo, Sea Doo and Can Am ATVS and Can Am Side by
Sides. In addition to ‘Ski-Doo’, Mark also sells product lines for Choko, Kimpex and Motovan.
City Argo Motorsport’s dealership is a staff of 4 including him. They are located on the King George
Highway, just a minute off N.B. Route #8, in Miramichi City, centre of New Brunswick’s White Gold.
Mark and Kim’s greatest attribute to snowmobilers is that they are a part of the snowmobile
community. When the local Miramichi Valley S.C.’s Trail Groomer was stuck it was Mark and his personal
equipment that went on sight to excavate it to safety. When the club required a new trail shelter, Mark
had it constructed and assisted further by towing it to its trailside location.
Basically anything the club needs
and Mark can provide, he does. For
example the club has a ‘club
snowmobile’ that they use to
perform trail checks and trail
signage with. When it needs
something his shop fixes it and
provides the labor for free.
For Mark and Kim’s dedication, passion and commitment to organized snowmobiling we were proud to
submit them to the CCSO as our New Brunswick nominee and prouder, that they were recognized as
Canada’s best Snowmobile Dealership in 2012. Congatulations!
