Sani-Cloth CHG 2% Hubs & Ports
Sani-Cloth CHG 2% is a pre-moistened wipe
for surface decontamination of medical devices.
Supports epic 2 and NICE guidelines for the
disinfection of hubs and connection ports.
Provides rapid antimicrobial action and excellent
residual activity.
Cleaning surfaces (catheter hubs and ports) with
alcohol and chlorhexidine digluconate wipes is
common practice in the clinical setting, and is
recommended by NICE (epic2)1. The majority
of these wipes contain alcohol which is a well
known and widely used effective disinfectant. The
advantages of alcohol, as a disinfectant, is that
it works instantly and evaporates within seconds
leaving the surface immediately decontaminated
of bacteria; the advantages of chlorhexidine
digluconate is that it is effective against a range
of organisms and is well regarded in the hospital
environment.
