The conference
Protection of Children
in Cars
14th International Conference,
December 8 – 9, 2016
Munich, Germany
CALL FOR
PAPERS
The experience with the harmonization and implementation of
the two regulations – the ECE-R 44 and the updated ECE-R 129 –
in markets worldwide will be reflected in detail. The new test
requirements of EURO NCAP starting in 2016, the new CRS/Car
compatibility requirements and in-depth analysis of improved
accessibility of ISOFIX anchorages are another focal aim at
this year’s conference. In a special session, progress of human
models, their validation and new scaling procedures as well as
upgraded anthropometric field studies should be reported.
Real world accident studies should analyse improvements
achieved in CRS safety and should outline new targets for the
next years.
The preceding workshop on December 7, 2016 on socio-cultural
aspects intends to continue the success of the special session
“Promotion of Child Safety in Road Traffic” both in and outside
of cars in a general scope. Safety campaigns in different regions of the world and enhanced education programs should
be reported in order to promote child safety worldwide.
With those comprehensive targets, the 14th Conference
Protection of Children in Cars intends to act as worldwide
forum for safety engineers, accident researchers, experts in
biomechanics and pediatricians, representatives of rule making, consumer organizations, promoters of safety campaigns
and specialists in car / CRS rating procedures.
The international programme committee invites all organizations and authors working in the field of child safety to present
their recent results and new trends in product development.

and cultural approach will bring together people interested in
understanding CRS use with respect to safety culture.
Based on short presentations, aspects of sociological approaches in child safety research will be intensively discussed in the
audience in order to bring up different points of view. Proposal
of topics should be submitted by using the standard process
and papers will be included in the conference proceedings.
