ZOLL`S FAMILY OF DEFIBRILLATORS
ZOLL’S FAMILY OF DEFIBRILLATORS
Superior Technology from
The Problem
Many people die unnecessarily every day from both sudden cardiac
death and trauma.
Sudden cardiac arrest, with survival at a dismal 3-7%, is the leading
global killer.1 More than 30,000 sudden cardiac arrests occur in
Australia, resulting in more than 28000 deaths each year and more
than 1 million deaths worldwide.1
Our Commitment
For ZOLL®, named after founder Paul M. Zoll, a pioneer in cardiac
pacing and defibrillation, resuscitation has been our single focus for
nearly three decades.
Our products and solutions encompass multiple facets of resuscitation
and work as a system to help you improve survival rates. Our system
doesn’t stop at the unit, however; behind every ZOLL unit is a local
support network including a logistics team that delivers products when
you need them, technical support expertise from our technical service
group, clinical, commercial and operational expertise from our sales
force and prompt customer service provided by our admin staff.
Working together, improves outcomes; this is our commitment to you.
a Dependable Partner
Defibrillators that do more than Defibrillate
ZOLL defibrillators are designed with the user in mind. ZOLL has
developed full rescue AED’s to support both CPR and defibrillation.
In over 50% of Sudden Cardiac Arrests where no shock is advised,
good CPR is the essential life saving intervention.2 So for the infrequent
rescuer, ZOLL real CPR help ensures that the best manual CPR is
delivered as quickly as possible.
Like the ZOLL AED’s the R Series™ provides real CPR help® for the
ALS professional. The goal of the R Series CPR feedback is to help
clinicians with the three most important elements of CPR: Quality
of depth, rate, and minimizing interruptions. The R Series also uses
OneStep™ Resuscitation Electrodes that allow you to pace, monitor and
defibrillate without the need for added 3 lead cables, speeding up the
time to delivery of therapy.
When you’re transporting critical care patients, you not only need
defibrillation on hand, but you also need to keep track of crucial
vital signs. Early recognition of changes in your patient’s status allow
you to administer drug and other interventions to help save the lives
of your patients. The M Series® CCT provides a comprehensive set
of parameters, including invasive lines, to allow you to monitor your
patient’s physiological response in real time and to treat them as
quickly as possible.
Help for the infrequent rescuer
The ZOLL AED Plus® gives the infrequent
rescuer the confidence and support they
need to help save lives.
Support for the Full Chain of Survival
The AED Plus’ unique graphical user interfacepictures combined with text prompts supports the
rescuer though the complete chain of survival.
From calling for help to administering CPR.
Consumer Batteries
The AED Plus is the only AED to use inexpensive,
consumer lithium batteries that are easy to
replace and last five years in stand by mode.
Consumer batteries for convenience and savings.
Lowest Total Cost of Ownership
Once Installed the AED Plus has the lowest Total
Cost of Ownership over 5 years. With a five year
warranty and no need to replace electrodes or
batteries for five years in stand-by mode.
In stand by mode replace nothing for 5 years.
One-Piece or two piece Pad. Have it your way
On both the AED Plus and the AED Pro have your
choice of the one piece CPR-D•padz® or two
piece CPR stat•padz®.
To help with quick, easy pad placement, and allow
for CPR feedback.
Instant feedback such as “Push Harder
and “Good Compressions”
The AED Plus and the AED Pro® provide
Real CPR Help® with instant feedback on
the rate and depth of chest compressions.
In addition to audio prompts the AED
features an onscreen gauge to show CPR
compression depth.
A rugged advanced AED for professionals
Any Operating Mode You Want
Available in semi-automatic, semi-automatic with
manual override or manual mode, providing the
flexibility to assist the Basic Life Support user and
put the power in the hands of the Advanced Life
Support Professional.
Works when you need it—the way you need it.
Unrivaled Battery Capability
Three choices to best suit your needs:
1. Sealed lead acid batteries for standardization
across ZOLL platforms.
2. Rechargeable SurePower™ lithium ion for
greater capacity and longer run times.
3. Long-lasting disposable lithium manganese
batteries.
More choices mean better adaptation to your
system.
The flexibility to monitor and defibrillate
The unit can be used to monitor patient’s
condition with the 3 lead ECG cable, with the
rhythm displayed on the high resolution LCD
display.
ECG Monitoring or defibrillation depending on
the situation.
Data Storage through USB Memory Technology
The ZOLL AED Pro® is the defibrillator
that provides you with the simplicity
required for use by lay rescuers - while
having the functionality needed for
professionals.
The AED Pro has an extensive internal memory
and a removable USB flash memory for
transferring data via USB from your AED Pro
without removing the defibrillator from service.
Easily transfer data to any laptop or PC and be
ready.
Superior construction for any environment
With an IP (water and dust ingress rating) of 55
and the ruggedness to withstand a 1.5 meter drop
test the AED Pro is the most rugged defibrillator in
its class.
Tough to withstand any conditions.
ECG signal processing
removes CPR artifact
from the ECG so you
can see the organized
rhythm without
interruptions.
Simple, Smart and Ready
The ZOLL R Series™ is perfect for in
hospital use, designed around the
2006 ARC guideline changes. The
R Series features tools to make you
more effective in a resuscitation
environment.
Simple
The worst time to find out that your defibrillator is
not ready is at a code. That’s why the ZOLL
R Series™ simplifies every aspect of operation.
The R Series features a single OneStep™
Resuscitation Electrode and a simple cable
management system to help you provide therapy
to your patients quicker. ZOLL’s uniform operating
system means users of the M Series® are instantly
familiar with how to deliver a shock and new
users simply have to follow red 1, 2, 3 to deliver
a shock.
Simple operation minimises time to delivery of
therapy.
performed about 50% of the time that they should
be6,7. The ZOLL R Series is able to be used in
all arrests, by providing Real CPR Help® with
real time feedback, on rate and depth, to help
you provide more effective CPR. The R Series
features See-Thru CPR™ to allow ALS providers
to see underlying rhythms without stopping
compressions, maximising coronary blood supply
and chances of successful defibrillation8.
Smart Real CPR tools maximise your patient’s
chances of survival.
Ready
Being ready for a code means that at a glance
the operator knows that a defibrillator can be
used. The R Series provides over 30 daily self
checks and displays a readiness indicator to show
that the device is ready to use. The lithium battery
comes with a real time indicator of charge so
you’ll never be left wondering about battery time.
A mentor mode allows you to learn the operations
of the defibrillator in a safe mode, so that when
you need to use it, you’re ready.
Readiness checks provide confidence in the
defibrillator.
Smart
Studies show that about 50% of the time
presenting rhythms are non shockable3,4,5.
These studies also show that CPR compressions
are generally too slow, too shallow and only

Everything that you’ve ever wanted
The ZOLL CCT is our flagship unit.
The CCTs tough exterior and easy to
read colour screen makes it perfect for
transport applications for both in and out
of hospital settings.
Results and reliability
The M Series® CCT, the ZOLL flagship unit, has a
proven track record of delivering therapy across
hundreds of Australian hospitals in emergency,
intensive care and coronary care units.
Originally designed as a transport monitor, the
CCT is the most robust fully parametered unit on
the market with an IP rating of 23 and for this
reason it has found a home in the hospital setting.
The CCT shows proven results and reliability
in the field.
Designed with operators in mind
The CCT features a large 16.5cm colour
screen, allowing for 3 trace viewing and
simultaneous multiple parameter viewing. The
CCT was designed to be used on the move and is
compatible with ZOLL’s XL battery for even longer
run life.
ZOLL’s uniform operating system means users of
the ZOLL ALS defibrillators are instantly familiar
with how to deliver a shock and new users simply
have to follow red 1, 2, 3.
Large, clear screen allows you to accurately assess
your patient’s condition.
Flexible with your needs
With MassimoSet® SpO2 as standard, the
M Series CCT allows for a full range of
parameters with invasive lines to provide
complete monitoring for your patients.
Options for customising set up include
pacing, NIBP, IBP, temperature, EtCO2, either
sidestream or mainstream, and 12 lead.
Customised options mean that you can order
exactly what need without the complications of
parameters that you don’t use.
The future in Resusitation
The only device of its kind, AutoPulse® is a revolutionary
non-invasive cardiac support pump that moves more blood,
more consistently than is possible with human hands. Easy to
use and battery operated, its load-distributing LifeBand®
squeezes the entire chest. As a result, SCA victims
receive consistent, high-quality compressions that
deliver improved blood flow.
