purchase a “Swim pass with Lessons”.
Swim Pass with Lessons
When you register a child for swimming lessons, you may purchase an
adult swim pass for a reduced rate of
$35. This pass will allow you to swim
for 10 weeks, while your child has
his/her lesson. After the lesson, you
and your child may spend 15 minutes
together in the swirl pool. A pass for
$10 may be purchased in conjunction
with an adult pass, for any additional
children not attending lessons (Saturday mornings exempt). *Please note
the space restrictions listed with the
swim schedule*

ROOKIE PATROL Max. Ratio 1:10
Rookie Patrol features timed 100m
swims, 350m workouts and swims with
clothes. A work hard play hard approach of this program develops swimming strength and efficiency for water
safety behaviour.
Pre-requisite: Swimmer 6.
RANGER PATROL Max. Ratio 1:10
Ranger Patrol features a timed 200m
swim, 100 m fitness medley and support/carrying a 5 lb weight. Content is
challenging but achievable with emphasis on effort. Skill drills enhance capability in the water including a
non-contact rescue.
Pre-requisite: Rookie Patrol.
STAR PATROL
Max. Ratio 1:10
Star Patrol features a timed 300 m swim,
3 x 600m workouts; swim with clothes;
defence methods; support and carry a
10lb weight. Scene assessment and towing rescue are introduced.
Pre-requisite: Range Patrol.
BRONZE STAR
Max. Ratio 1:12
Excellent preparation for success in
Bronze Medallion. Participants develop
problem-solving and decision making
skills individually and in partners. Candidates learn CPR and develop the lifesaving skills needed to be their own
lifeguard. Includes a timed 400m swim.

Adult/Teen Aquatics
- It’s never too late to learn!
Adult 101
You’ll work towards a 10 -15m. swim on your front
and back. You’ll be able to do jump entries from the
side and support yourself at the surface for 10 – 29 sec.
You’ll be able to recover an object from the bottom of
chest deep water.
Adult 201
Kick it up a notch by working towards a 50 – 100m.
swim. You’ll be able to perform dive entries and
demonstrate breaststroke arms and breathing over 25m.
You’ll develop sculling skill and strengths over 10m,
and show off your handstands in shallow water.
Adult 301
You’ll be doing 200 – 300m continuous swims and
sprinting 25m. You’ll be front crawling, back crawling
and breast stroking over 100m You’ll be sculling feet
first and swimming 25m head-up.
BOAT OPERATOR ACCREDITED TRAINING
If you're going to drive a boat with a motor prepare to get carded. the rules have changed. Everyone now needs a
card to operate any powered boat under 4 meters. Youth born after 1983 who operate a powered pleasure craft of
any length must carry a Pleasure Craft Operator (PCO) card. By Sept. 2009 Everyone will need their Pleasure Craft
Operator (PCO) card. Avoid the rush. How to get carded. . . The Canada Games Complex offers the full BOAT
course or just the exam. Take the BOAT course or take the BOAT Study Guide home, and take the
test when you are ready.

LI’L LIGHTNING
The Li’l Lightning program is designed for children aged 5-7
who are interested in developing athletic ability in any sport
and who can swim a width unaided. The program specializes
in improving flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, and
motor skills. Through the use of trampoline, balance and tumbling
exercises, conditioning, and other diving related activities.
The Learn to Dive Program offers a complete introduction to
diving. This 4 Badge program teaches the student all the basic
dives they will need. Any child 8 years and older who can swim
a width unaided is welcome.

The following schedule is subject to unforeseen changes.
Note:
Limited pool space is available to adults during all operating
hours. Please note that during Thunderbolt Swim practice
times in the evening only 2 lanes will be open for fitness
swimmers. Please share this space and expect limited access.
Lanes 1 to 8 may be closed due to Swim team practice
and swim lessons.
Thunderbolts Swim practice lanes 1-6 Mon., Wed., Fri.,
4:30 – 7pm and Tues and Thurs 6 – 8pm, Sat. 7-9 am
Masters practice Tues & Thurs 5 – 6:00pm and Sat 9:00
am -10:30 am.
The diving boards and the towers are closed Mon-Fri 5:00
-7:15pm and Sat 9am-12noon during the Diving Club’s
practices.
During the “Family Swim”, a parent or guardian (18yrs)
must accompany children in the water.
Groups of 20 or more must pre-book. Group rates available.
