Processing of Lustran® ABS / Novodur ®
Drying:
1/2 to 2 hours at 80°C as a function of dryer
capacity. ABS+PC blends 90°C (H801, Ultra 4105,
4115)
If the product is processed in a vented cylinder, it will
normally be possible to dispense with predrying.
Melt temperature:
220 to 260°C
If the temperature is too high, or the residence time
in the cylinder is too long, then material damage has
to be expected (including discoloration and reduced
toughness).
Mould temperature: 60 to 80°C
This is the optimum temperature range for the
production of low stress parts with an excellent
surface finish.
