For Those Not Receiving Holy Communion
Aware that there are often those who come to Mass who are not Catholic, or for some reason cannot partake
in Communion, we would like to invite those people in our assemblies to still come forward in the Communion
procession and, as they approach the Priest or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, to simply cross
their arms over their chest, so that they might receive a simple blessing. This is a practice that is utilized in
may parts of our country, as a way of making people feel more welcomed and included.

IL DONO DELLO SPIRITO DI DIO
No, non ci hai lasciati orfani, soli e sperduti,
abbandonati alla complessità delle vicende umane.
No, non siamo in balia del potente o del maestro di
turno, privi della capacità di discernere e di valutare,
di decidere e di scegliere.
Tu ci hai fatto dono del tuo Spirito: è lui l'anima
segreta della nostra esistenza, il fuoco acceso nel
nostro petto, il coraggio che vince tante paure, la
forza che emerge dalle nostre debolezze e fragilità.
Ma perché il tuo dono divenga operante in noi,
perché la nostra povera vita sia trasfigurata dalla tua
presenza, tu ci chiedi di abbandonarci con fiducia
alla tua volontà, al tuo disegno.

XVI DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO
Por que es tan dificil aceptar y obedecer la Palabra de Dios ? Los
nazarenos no confiaban en la Palabra de Dios, ni en las enseñanzas
ni milagros de Jesús. Esto es cierto tambien para nosotros : mientras
no esperemos recibir algo de Cristo Jesús , él no podra obrar entre
nosotros ni cambiar nuestra vida.
Pero , que sucede si esperamos algo de él? Recordemos un incidente desicivo ocurrido en la vida de San Francisco de Asís. Un día,
estaba orando en la Iglesia San Damian , cuyos muros estaban en
precarias condiciones . Cuando reflexionaba contemplando el crucifijo, escuchó que el Señor le decia tres veces : “ Francisco , reconstruye mi iglesia . Ya ves que se esta desmoronando”
Al terminar la oración , Francisco comenzó a juntar las piedras y se dispuso a reparar la Iglesia de
San Damian , por que estaba deseoso de escuchar y obedecer al Señor. Pero mas tarde se dio
cuenta de que habia interpretado literalmente el mensaje, , y entendió que el Señor se refería
realmente a la Iglesia espiritual, el Cuerpo Mistico de Cristo , que necesitaba renovación.
Francisco solía contar esta anécdota a sus frailes , haciendo resaltar la acción del Espíritu Santo y
demostrando que Dios puede actuar a través de cualquier persona dócil y humilde de Corazón.
San Francisco es un ejemplo de que los muchos creyentes que a través de los siglos se han esforzado para escuchar y obedecer la Palabra de Dios. Este relato tambien puede tener un
significado especial para nosotros. Aunque no hayamos avanzado mucho en entendimiento, el
Espiritu
Santo puede moldear un corazón docil y demostrar lo que Dios realmente quiere hacer.
Cuando Jesús vive en el centro mismo de nuestro ser y dejamos que nos enseñe , él lo hace.
Oremos para que no seamos rebeldes y tercos con el Señor , sino que estemos dispuestos a hacer
su voluntad.

Rosary Society
The Rosarians welcome all women of the Parish. The Society is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the growth of the
love of God through Mary. We honor the Blessed Mother by
the constant and reverent praying of the rosary in our daily
life.
We are involved in all Parish activities, liturgical and social –
and keep informed about civic community activities.
Spiritual activities include an Annual Retreat, Annual Communion Breakfast and Baby Shower for Unwed Mothers.
The Society raises money to help our Church continue outreach efforts. The fundraisers include: Christmas Fair, Basket Night, Chinese Auction.
We attend the 10:00am Mass on the Third Sunday of the
month (except July & August) followed by a meeting & light
breakfast in the School.

Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and
women who share their experience, strength and hope
with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem.

Overeaters Anonymous members talk about their
struggles with compulsive eating. Meeting every

In order for designated Parish Ministries & Organizations to reserve one of our rooms at St. A’s, we require you to fill out our Parish Calendar & Room Request Form. The form is available in the rectory or can be downloaded from our website. We even have an E-form so
you complete this form without writing. Just e-mail it back to us, or print it out and drop it off. All Requests must be made using our form.

The group listed on the parish calendar is the group that has the right to use that space. If you are not a designated ministry of
our parish, permission must be granted from our Pastor, Msgr. Cassato, a rental fee is paid, and a lease agreement completed in
Sunday Bulletin Deadlines The Sunday Bulletin must be e-mailed to our printer by 10a.m. Monday. All announcements must be submitted in WRITTEN form only (handwritten, typed, computer, fax, e-mailed, etc) by 3p.m. Friday. Announcements received after the
deadline will be published the following week. No one on the parish staff will assume the responsibility for your ministry’s articles. Include
your bulletin articles in your advance planning for your event. All Flyers need to be approved by a staff member and submitted by Email
only to [email protected].
Our Printer Requires all Black or Grayscale Print, Clip Art & Graphics. If you submit color graphics, the printer will NOT print your
