organization dedicated to treating and rehabilitating injured birds and returning them to the wild, will
bring our favorite ambassadors for us to meet and learn how important raptors are!

July 28, Thursday 6-7pm OUR WILD NEIGHBORS
Dick Newell is the founder and organizer for Orange County Trackers, a wildlife conservation
organization. He and his team provide training for wardens, park rangers, and other wildlife
researchers in tracking animals and understanding their behavior! Check out: octrackers.com
August 4, Thursday 6-7pm CREATE A WILDLIFE HABITAT IN YOUR YARD
No, not tigers and bears, but small creatures like birds, bees, butterflies and lizards. UCCE Master
Gardeners of Orange County will show us how to restore a natural balance in our yards, and then sit
back and enjoy watching these small creatures as they return to our gardens!
August 11, Thursday 6-7pm THE BUZZ ABOUT BEES
Karine Pouliquen, from UCCE Master Gardeners, will give us a lively presentation about the
importance of bees, what kind of bees live in our area, the fun of bee-keeping, and so much more!
At 8:45-10:30pm**
EXPLORE THE SKIES ABOVE SHIPLEY
Stick around as we are visited by the Orange County Astronomers who will help us explore nearby
planets and star systems light years away!
Our evening hours will be extended to allow for this not to be missed event!
