Rumors had been circulating for years. When asked directly, the frontman always said he
was not interested in a reunion. All seems to have changed with time as Sting, Stewart
Copeland and Andy Summers have reunited The Police for a 2007 tour.
Guitar Player’s June 2007 issue showcased guitarist, Andy Summer’s tour rig. Andy’s
tone on most Police hits had always been fairly clean with generous amounts of effects such
as chorus and delay. Summer’s rig includes of a rack of stereo processors that are amplified
by a Carvin DCM150 stereo power amp. Andy’s relationship with Carvin started back in
1999 when he visted the Carvin booth at the winter NAMM show. His guitar tech, Dennis
Smith, contacted Carvin during the Police rehearsals to aquire a new set of power amps for
the tour. The band will be on the road much of the remainder of 2007 with most of the tour

components housed in lightweight, rugged Polypropylene injection-molded enclosures that maintain their appearance through years of torturous use, the LM Series
are 2-way designs featuring lightweight, high efficiency neodymium drivers and a
