Not all thread counts are created equal. Thread count is a measure of the coarseness or fineness of a fabric and
is determined by counting the number of threads contained in a square inch of fabric, or in Australasia in a 10cm
square. When determining thread count, the correct industry standard is to count each thread only once. In a
plied yarn several threads are twisted together to make a single thread and if each thread is individually counted
it can lead to an inflated and misleading thread count. Feel assured Flaxfield Linen, will only ever quote the true

Direct from Iceland our Flaxfield Linen Icelandic Sheepskins exhibit a very long woolen coat
comprised of two layers; a longer outer layer and a shorter, inner layer. The outer woolen layer is
up to 28cm in length with a slight roughness that gives the sheepskins a particularly beautiful and
primitive appearance; a true modern décor essential.
