2016 Moolah® Shrine Potentate
Lenny Martin
Nobles,
Off and running, your divan has been quite busy in January. We
have spent every weekend doing installations or enjoying unit presentations. We have bussed our way to NEMO and spent the entire
weekend with Cape Shrine Club, SEMO and Three Rivers. What a
great time visiting with fellow nobles and their ladies as they work for
this wonderful philanthropy.
Can you guess what time it is??? IT’S CIRCUS TIME!!!!!! We need everyone
to concentrate on the circus. Sell those tickets and ads. Ask your favorite
restaurant to buy an ad. Remember the circus is our biggest fundraiser
and we need for you to make it a success. We are only two months away from the BEST show we’ve
in years. I hear there are going to be performing pigs! So we need to think CIRCUS, CIRCUS, CIRCUS.
You should start seeing the billboards and television ads in the coming weeks.
Thank you to all the Moolah family for your tremendous support for this great event. We have
changed the incentive this year. In years past you got a hat for selling 2 books of tickets ($300),
you got a hat and shirt for selling 5 books ($750) and a hat, shirt and jacket for selling 10 books
($1500). Well this year as long as you hit the DOLLAR AMOUNTS, whether ads and tickets or banners, you will get the items listed above. So SELL those tickets, ads and banners.
The Circus Parade is moving back to St Charles on March 5th. The Circus Kick-off will be the
same day following the parade back at the Temple. Come out and enjoy the parade and then
the games and food back at the Temple.
The Potentate’s Presentation Ball will be on February 27th. Lady Sandy and I would love for you
to join us for this Magical Event. Dress will be Black Tie/Dark Suit or your favorite Disney Prince or
Princess. Please make your reservations today for this wonderful event.
April 23rd will be the Spring Ceremonial. Also on this day, in the evening after the ceremonial, we
will be celebrating the 130th Anniversary of Moolah Temple. This will be a free event. So come
out to the ceremonial with your candidate and stay for the celebration.
Thank you for all you do.
Remember Why,
Illustrious Sir Lenny Martin

The “Love Month”
Love, to be sure, is a very strong emotion, but that’s not all by a long
shot. There are various types of love. There is the physical or romantic type of love, the brotherly type of love, and most importantly, the
Godly love and/or Love of God.
Eros, the son of Aphrodite in Greek mythology, denotes the romantic
or physical type of love; love for our spouse or sweetheart. The English
word, erotic, is derived from this, referring even, to a sexual type of
love. Cupid, the son of Venus in Roman mythology, is the counterpart
to Eros, and denotes the same. We all know February is known as the
“month of love”, because of Valentine’s Day on the 14th! The gift of
flowers, candy, candlelight dinners for two, romance, etc., are important moments in our lives and loved ones and ones I hope we continue
to share with that special person.
Phileo is a Greek word used to describe brotherly love. Brotherly love
is a type of love, we as Shrine Masons certainly are well aware of. We
have heard it stressed throughout our Masonic education and journey.
We are reminded, “How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell
together in unity!” … (Psalm 133).
Throughout our teachings, we are reminded of what our relationship
to all mankind, especially our brothers, should be. As long ago as my
days in DeMolay, I recall the Preceptor station of “Fidelity” and its “call
to Brotherly Love.” We can never be reminded of this virtue enough,
especially in the world in which we live today.
When it comes to words of God’s love and/or Love of God, what better place to turn, than to Scripture, that Great Light of Freemasonry.
For there, from cover to cover, we find not only how much God loves
us, but how much we should love God.
In the Old Testament, we find these Hebrew words to describe Godly
Love. Aheb is a verb denoting divine and human love. Hesed, a noun
which is used to describe not only the powerful emotion of love, but
also faithfulness and mercy. In the New Testament we hear of Agape
love, denoting an unconditional love, a love with “no strings attached”. God loves us “in spite of ourselves”. But what of our love for
God? It is not “suggested” but rather “commanded”. Both in Deut.
6:4-5 and Matt. 22:37-40, God says, “You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart and with all your might. . .”
As we celebrate this “month of love”, let us enjoy that love which Valentine’s Day brings. But, let us also remember those brothers, family
and friends who call on our “Phileo” type of love. Most of all, let us
give thanks for God’s love given to us and show our love for God and
strive to make all these types of love a year-round experience.

These we do not forget
“Es Selamu Aleikum”
We do not lose the ones we love
They only go before
Where there is everlasting life
Where sorrow is no more..
And there the soul will always live
And peace is everywhere
We do not lose the ones we love
God takes them in his care.

A Message from our Membership Liasion
Shaun Ruether
Nobles,
Membership should be one of our main focuses, this year and every
year. In 2015, Illustrious Sir David Dieckhaus asked DJ Hermen and I to
Co-chair the Membership Team. We didn’t think much of it and said
yes, not really knowing what we were getting into. Membership is an
overwhelming task and every noble in this temple is on the Membership
Team and should play an active role in it. We look for all of you to bring
in new nobles.
In the beginning of 2015, we challenged the Shrine Clubs to a contest to see which can bring in the most new nobles in 2015 and they
showed up in a huge way! There was a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place award given to these Shrine Clubs.
1st place went to Three Rivers Shrine Club, who brought in 23 new nobles.
2nd place went to Tiger Shrine Club, who brought in 11 new nobles.
3rd Place went to ECMO Shrine Club, who brought in 10 new nobles.
Congratulations, thank you and keep up the great work! We look forward to the same.
Last year, as a whole, Moolah initiated 80 nobles into the Mystic Shrine. The Shrine Clubs who participated reported a total of 54 new nobles. Isn’t that a great feat? That being said, that means
the total number of new nobles that came through the Moolah Shrine Temple added up to be
26 creations. Do not misconstrue our appreciation for the first and second line signers of these 26
new nobles as a negative. We just need to pick up our game here at the temple.
The Membership Team is planning some membership drives not only for potential candidates,
but also to use as a retaining tool. The Membership Team will be keeping you informed of events
and all things membership. Please take an active role in bringing in new members, talk to your
brother Masons and tell them this is available to them because they are Master Masons. Talk to
you friends and family. No need to ask them to join. Talk about all the fun we have and the great
things we do for our Hospitals and that should be enough to get them to ask you how they can
be a Shriner too. Get involved for membership’s sake.
Thank you,
Shaun Ruether

2016 Shrine Circus Update
Circus Director - Ron Reynolds 314-732-2121
Circus Chairman - Dean Isbell 314-406-1410
The Circus is getting very close. PLEASE be sure to do everything possible to promote this year’s circus. Do not
wait until the last minute. Now is the time to sell tickets, sell advertising, distribute kids tickets and tell everyone
about the circus.
The 2016 Moolah Shrine circus will be held at the Family Arena in St. Charles. Mark your calendars for March 17th
through the 20th. We will be having the same number of performances as last year.
We will have our Circus parade in Old town St. Charles on Saturday, March 5th at Noon. After the parade we
will return to Moolah for the Circus kick-off. On Saturday, March 12th we will participate in the Cottleville parade
to get exposure for our circus. All Shriners are asked to join in the fun for all these events.
The kids free coupon tickets are also available. Pick some up and distribute in your area.
The Circus Committee is working hard and meeting on the second Wednesday of each month from September
to March in the Guides unit room. Any and all volunteers are welcome to join us. There is always plenty to do.
Arrive at 5:30 PM for a light dinner and the meeting begins at 6:00 PM. Please RSVP so we know how much food
to prepare. 314-732-2121 or [email protected].
Our goal is to continue to make our circus the best ever and to keep the seats full.
Tent City 2016
Nobles, FYI, there will be a few changes for 2016 under the tent, please share with your units, clubs and committees.
• There will be a central bar with a bartender to serve you. Only two beers a visit will be
served. If you look under age you will be carded. (liability issue #1)
• The soda will still be available to help yourself, however we will only be ordering Coke, Diet
Coke, Caffeine-free Diet Coke, Sprite and Diet Sprite
• Ice will be available to stock unit and club bars if ordered along with tables and chairs on
the tent reservation sheet at our quoted price.
• Stocking unit or club bars with beer will be allowed if you order what you need from the
reservation sheet at our quoted price. AB products only.
• The tent will have a last call Thursday @ 12am, Friday and Saturday 1:15am. Beer will be
locked up.(liability issue #2)
• Sunday @ 4pm we will start breaking down the tent. Unit and club areas please help in this
so we can all get out of there at a decent time.
• No fire pits are allowed this year due to fire codes and injury. (liability issue #3)
• A limited number of campers to be allowed. Please see Shaun Ruether to reserve a space.
These changes are to prevent liability issues that could happen such as under aged drinking, injuries and budgetary
issues. These are issues that we have had a good run of luck in not having happen. This is our biggest fund raiser for
the temple so let’s put our hearts into it and have a great Circus!
Thank you,
Shaun Ruether
Tent Chairman

At our December meeting our Chairman John
Hewitt was recognized by the potentate of Moolah
Shrine for his hard work and true dedication. John
received an " Ambassador Emeritus" award for his
outstanding leadership of this unit for the past 13
years. John has decided to retire from this job and
will certainly be missed as our leader, however
now he can just come and enjoy himself at our
meetings and leave the headaches to someone
else. Congratulations John and Juanita for a great
job well done.
Director: Dave Evans
President: Keith Schilb
1st Vice President: Greg Martin
Secretary: Jim Gesell
Treasurer: Tom Nelson
We will soon begin our 2016 Gun Raffle, this time
featuring His and Hers pocket pistols. These
.380 caliber pistols will be the perfect guns for
self-defense, so look for one of the members of
the American Muscle Car Unit for more information and tickets for a chance to win!
Please remember our members that are unable to
make it to the meetings, give them a call, send a card
or even make plans to visit. Lots of incredible history
staring you in the face or just an ear-shot away.
If you are wondering who will be stepping up
to try to fill these "Big Shoes" you will have to
wonder no more. Illustrious Sir Dennis Kelley and
Illustrious Sir David Dieckhaus have agreed to
co-chair this position. So now you know, it takes
(2) past potentates to even attempt to do this job
as well as John. Please show your support and
help these guys out when asked. Gary Larrabee
is also retiring from the position of treasurer of
the Ambassadors and will also be surely missed
in this position. Thank you Gary for all your years
of dedication and hard work keeping us fiscally
sound. Now you can just come and hang out with
the gang and enjoy yourself. Noble Don Wonder
has stepped up and will be our new treasurer.
Thank You Don!
Gone West... Nobel Fred Nipper passed away at
the ripe age of 97 years young. Fred had quite
the aviation history. I had many great conversations with Fred and he will be missed by many.
Going forward there will be some change to the
Ambassador leadership, but the mission of the
Ambassadors, dedication to the Moolah Shrine
and assistance to the 2016 Potentate Lenny
Martin, will remain the same.
Dues for 2016 are due so please send your
payment to our Secretary, Noble Chris Grau.
Better yet, come on up to the Hangar and attend
a meeting as well as catch up with some old
friends. Maybe even make a few new ones.
Hope to see you.
The Ambassador lunches are held on the 2nd
Friday of the month. The next Ambassador’s
Lunch will be on Friday, February 12 in the Oasis
at Moolah Temple. We will continue to have our
popular open bar and our three drawings: the
50/50, free dinner and jackpot. You may be a
winner but you won’t have a chance if you do not
attend. Ambassadors, you are missing a great
time, if you do not attend our meetings.
Our Potentate for 2016 is Illustrios Sir Lenny Martin.
He has appointed Noble John Mike Cordell as
Director of the Air Patrol.
KUDO’s to retiring President Noble Ted Lindner.
Thanks for a Great, Exciting and Productive Year.

The E-6B was developed in the United States by
Naval Lt. Philip Dalton in the late 1930s. The name
comes from its original part number for the U.S
Army Air Corps in World War II. Even SPOCK used
it on the Star Ship Enterprise to calculate impact.
Circus 2016 is just around the corner. Circus
parade and Kick-Off info is available on line as
well as in the printed Camels’ Tale.
In closing.. Check that weather..enroute and destination. It’s better to be on the ground wishing

as the plane’s limitations.

American Muscle
The American Muscle Unit is off to a strong
start in 2016. All of our officers were elected to
a second year of service in the positions they
held in 2015. We plan on continuing to participate in numerous parades this year, driving our
American-made muscle cars as well as both
of the Unit's Flying Carpet vehicles with their
new, high-powered engines. The Unit plans on
producing several more Flying Carpets this year,
but this time on larger, zero-turn mowers!
We are also gearing up for the 2016 Moolah
Shrine Circus where we will assist the Swing
Dance Unit with novelties for the third year in a
row. We look forward to working with all the great
people at the Circus!
If you have a muscle car you would like to show
or parade, join us. If you do not have a muscle
car but would like to drive one of the Unit's Magic
Carpets, join us! We meet the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm in the Unit Room
we share with the Hospital Committee. We hope
to see you then.

If Buffalo Bob and Howdy Doody were anywhere
near our unit or around any Moolah unit or club,
he would be asking, “Say kids, What time is
it?” This time of year our answer would be…It’s
Circus time!! Showtime is only weeks away!! Got
all the important dates calendared? If not, here’s
what you need to know.
3/5 Circus Parade 12:00 on St. Charles Main
Street and Kickoff at Moolah to follow. Everyone
loves a parade!! The Kickoff is fun for kids of all
ages. Invite everyone you know!!
3/12 Cottleville St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Like our
Circus, one of the best parades in the area.
3/17 - 3/20 THE CIRCUS COMES TO TOWN!!
There will be EIGHT performances. There is NO
reason for anyone to miss out!! We’ll need every
able body for Grand Entries. Uncle Freddie will
likely be showing his skills, on the grill, the entire
weekend. There will be more than enough food to
go around.
Other dates:
2-12 Patrol Presentation.
2-17 Stated Meeting.
2-27 Potentate’s Presentation Ball.
In case you’re in need of some words to share
what we do, with potential candidates and others,
as the Circus approaches, President Tom says
it well. “The Arab Patrol has a proud tradition.
Known as “The Marching 48”, our unit marches
in parades, at Shrine functions and we also
compete nationally against other Shrine marching
units. This year, our theme is “Back to 48” as we
seek to encourage new candidates to learn more
about our rich tradition and join us in our ranks.”
It’s Circus time!! A prime time for the Patrol to
shine. Bring it on!! I’m just sayin’. Yeah baby!!
We are excited to announce the relaunch of the
www.arabpatrol.webs.com website on Feb. 1st
2016! Special thanks to Sean Cavanagh for his
efforts.

Hello, from your Moolah Band:
Happy New Year to all our Nobles. We hope your
year will be as great and exciting as the Band anticipates. We ended 2015 on a high note with the
programs for the Hospital kids and Brunch with
Santa, and are now preparing for the upcoming
concert season. New music and, hopefully new
members, should make for a wonderful time for
us all.
The Audiences love the music and show it with
their applause and the comments we receive
after each performance. We will be reintroducing
a “Military Salute” at our concerts to salute our
veterans.
I now ask that any Nobles who have musical
experience join us to make the Band into what it
was in the past. I don’t know that we can have a
band of 100+ members as was the case in the
1950’s, but we can certainly increase our membership so that the Band can once again play for
the monthly meetings and Ceremonials.
We need to make a good showing to exhibit what
Shrinedom is and how we are contributing to the
Shriners Hospital. Come out and join us, thereby
guaranteeing that our performances are the best
possible. It would give us a great appearance
when we celebrate our Centennial Anniversary in
2019.
Join us Wednesday nights at 7:30 and rekindle
the fun you had when you were in the school
band. We are looking for new members, especially Nobles who are interested in spreading the
word of what Shriners do for the kids by supporting the Shriners Hospitals for Children. You may
be a Noble who is looking for a home where you
can make use of your musical talents!
Also, remember we are also a community band,
so if your wife, child or grandchild plays an
instrument, he or she is welcome to play in the
Band. We meet Wednesday evenings at 7:30 to
practice. Our concerts are Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:00.
We would love to have you participate with us.
We always leave ‘em smiling!

Hello, hello, hello to all within sight of this article.
We of the Chanters have been very busy the first
weeks of 2016 getting ready to serve Moolah in
the best way we know how...practicing for any
coming events that bring the joy of song any
place Moolah needs us.
With the myriad of installations last month and the
couple that are happening this month, it should
be that all units are adequately staffed and ready
to do their Shrine business.
We of the Chanters are poised and ready to
serve the musical needs of any group or individual in need of the joy of music.
One thing that’s a must to attend, is the 2016 Potentate’s Ball on February 27th. This jubilant affair
hosts the royalty of Moolah, as well those of our
ranks, to joyfully pay honor to our new Potentate,
His Illustrious Sir Lenny Martin and his beautiful
First Lady Sandy.
All Shriners attending the Potentate’s Ball will be
handsomely attired with their black tie or dark suit
unless they want to join the gala affair costumed
as their favorite Disney Prince or Princess. The
costumed Shriners will be in keeping with the Potentates’ June 12th thru June 18th trip to Disney
World in Orlando, Florida. Their suave gentleman
or Disney Prince will escort those beautifully
attired Ladies or the handsomely attired Princesses. It will be an affair everyone will want to
attend. Try to be there ...Let’s fill some tables
with Chanters! Save that date.
We sincerely appreciate all that is done for our
kids. If more can be done, we can and will do
it. We are the Chanters El Koran! All who have
heard us know how much a song can help and
entertain those alone, ill and aging. Just give us
a call.
God bless.

Clowns
Director: Mike Howard (Howiee)
President: Terry Aaron (Chopper)
1st Vice President: Mike Stevens (Mibo)
2nd Vice President: Paul Goggins (Gametime)
Treasurer: John Tremblay ( Shabba-Dabba)
The clowns would like to congratulate Jack
Melton (Jitterbug) and John McDougal (Dougal)
for being appointed as Ambassadors of Moolah
Temple. This is a great honor for both of them
and our unit. Jitterbug works as hard as anyone
at the Temple being involved with the Divan,
Swing Dance Unit and a hard working clown.
Dougal is very, uh, very, its better that you fill in
the rest. I'm at a loss for words about him.
The Trivia Nite went great with the Divan winning
the overall score and unit trophy. This was not
rigged as far as I know. There is an investigation
in progess as of this mailing. The Guinness Book
of World Records has verified the record of the
most Wiggle Sticks going at an event. If you haven't seen the photos that Doodles (Ron Kassebaum) took from the stage please ask to see
them. He did a great job with the camera and is
now our new unit photographer. I bet he doesn't
even know that he received that appointment. A
big thanks goes out to the Ukaholics for receiving
a $100 donation during their performance.There
is actually more to this story but we will have to
tell you how it happened and this probably will be
one of the stories we all will tell for a long time.
Skit practice and upcoming events will keep us
busy for the next couple of months. The culmanation of all this will be the Circus. This is the best
time of year for the clown unit. More guys come
out of the woodwork to participate and make this
more fun for all of us. Sell those tickets.
In case you missed it during the Super Bowl,
our own Merlin (Tom Dolan) was the guy who's
arm, the eagle in the pre-game cerimony, landed
on. You have to be brave to have those talons
digging into your arm. Great job at least it didn't
poop on you.

which were enjoyed by everyone. All the ladies
received a gift of a Christmas Drum filled with

Christmas music entertainment by the Drum Corps
Brass. Later, Gold Cards were presented to Jay

The Hospital Committee was pleased to have
participated at both the Breakfast With Santa on
Saturday, December 12th and the Shriners Hospital Patient Party on Sunday, December 13th. A
big “ Thank You” to all the Committee Members
who assisted, especially Jerry D'Agostino who
manned the Golf Putting Booth for practically the
entire time on both days! And a special “thank
you” to Bill Bradford's Lady Nancy and Jerry's
Lady Kathy for their assistance serving Lunch to
the hundreds of people attending the Hospital
Patient Christmas Party.
The year 2016 promises to be a busy and
productive one for the Hospital Committee. We
continue to provide the majority of volunteers
staffing the Reception Desk at our Children's
Hospital where we greet and welcome our
patients and their families. We are in need of
additional volunteers that can help work this front
desk of the Hospital during clinic hours in the
morning, afternoon, or both. If you are available,
please contact President Bill Bradford at (314)
974-3084.
We have a new Toy Chest that our Committee
President Bill Bradford keeps filled with small
gifts for all our patients and their siblings. It is a
real pleasure to see the smiles on the faces of
our kids as they choose a gift on their way home
from our Hospital. A huge “Thank You” to all the
Shriners and Units that have contributed funds
and toys to fill the chest!
Finally, the Committee expects to soon have a
new Display Case at the New Hospital for Gifts
and Memorabilia, similar to the Display Case we
ran at the Old Hospital on Lindbergh. This will be
another source of funds that the Committee uses
to support the Hospital on a continuing basis.
If you would like to interact with our Shriner Kids,
their families, and the Hospital Staff and support
them through our activities, then we would love to
have you join us. We meet at 6:15 pm every third
Wednesday in our meeting room at the
Shrine, prior to every Stated Meeting.
We look forward to seeing you then!

It’s a new year and time to be thinking about
those new year’s resolutions. If your resolution
included meeting new people or taking your
wife out more often or maybe just something as
simple as getting together with friends. Whatever
your resolution - all you have to do is come out to
a Dinner with Daniel Boone shrine Club. It really
doesn’t matter to us what excuse you use - we
just want you and your Lady to come and join
the fun and fellowship. Our next dinner meeting
is Thursday, February 25th at JJ’s Restaurant in
O’Fallon. We arrive around 6:30 for dinner, and
order off the menu and have separate checks.
After dinner (around 7:30) the guys have a meeting and the ladies play bunko.
Whether you are a member of Daniel Boone or
not -- we don’t really care. Our goal is for you and
your Lady to come out and join us for fun and
fellowship. We’ll make sure that you and your
Lady are greeted when you arrive and that you’ll
always feel welcome. If you want to join us for
one of our dinners – just show up!!!
Give us a try and I can guarantee you and your
Lady will have a great time! For more information, give President Mark a call at 314-605-7615.

represent the club.
Congratulations to Shaun Ruether, he was appointed
to the Divan as the Membership Liason.
Installation of our officers is on February 20th at
1:00 p.m. Bring your family, fez and a side dish or
dessert. Contact Jeanette if you have any questions.

Illustrious Sir Lenny Martin has chosen a very
appropriate theme for 2016, “Remember Why”. I
am very proud to be part of the best shrine club
which is part of the best shrine center which is a
part of the best philanthropy in the world.
Remember, anyone can sponsor a child to our
hospitals, all you have to do is dial 1-800-8502960. We don’t do it for a monetary gain or to
be thanked for what we do, but what greater
payment can we get than the thanks from a child
or their family for the care they receive at one of
our hospitals.

Congratulations to the new officers of Tiger
Shrine Club! I hope everyone had as much fun
at the installation as I did. Thanks to Little Dixie
for hosting such a great event. Thanks to Ill Sir
Lenny Martin and his Divan for coming out to
install our officers for 2016. As we start a new
year let’s all come out and help our officers make
it a successful year.
As we head into February and you are looking for
something to do for your Sweetheart, then plan
to attend the Potentate’s Ball on 2/27/16. It looks
to be a magical night in the Enchanted Forest.
There has been discussion and interest in taking
a bus to the Circus in March, it should be a great
time. The Circus is always fun for kids of all
ages. We continue to work on the club to get it
ready to start on some fun events and fundraisers. Keep an eye out for the newsletter for all of
the details.
Our February meeting will be on 2/29/16 so come
out and enjoy food & fellowship and help us plan
the new events for 2016. Dinner at 6:00 with
meeting to follow, see you at the meeting and
don’t forget to bring your fez.
The Tiger Shrine club meets at 2315 N Stadium
Blvd, Columbia, MO 65202.
President Scott has hit the ground running and
several projects are on the agenda in the near
future that need your support and your involvement. Can’t wait to see the turnout for this years
river run and the fun that will go along with it.
Greg Dortch is going to have to tell Kathy to stop
encouraging and taking our members to the cottage and consuming adult beverages for several
hours, then getting them in trouble at home.
Papa Dortch has now retired from the railroad
and is looking for additional “chores and tasks” to
accomplish as he doesn’t have anything to do.
Potentate Presentation Ball is February 27th and
the Moolah Shrine Circus is March 17th-20th.
Remember your Blue Lodges and that possible
candidate for the Shrine. Wear your Fez with
pride and always say your prayers.

The Bake Sale goodies were coming in, the
appetizers, as well as Rich and Gale our wine
servers, were ready and Honorary Installer
Jeanne were all prepared and waiting for Toni.
Best prepared were three of the Chanters who
set the mood for us with several of their contest
songs. For sure, they are all winners. Thanks for
sharing your talent with us.
Our President Toni gave an inspiring prayer and
invited us to enjoy the appetizers. Preceding,
Chris and Toni made their introductions. F Y I,
the Antique Grand Father Clock was auctioned
off for $4,000.00; Chris has 80 Cook Books out
of 560 to sell; our President’s Pin (per Rosa)
is valued at $4,000.00; the President’s Fund of
$511.00 was matched by Toni, all going to the
Hospital for toys for the patients; the names of
the high bidders for the Bake Sale were called
and all enjoyed the luscious luncheon.
Our Installation then took place and Jeanne
presented another unique ceremony. If we
had any doubts, all of our officers now have a
“Heart”. Jeanne gave them one. Then we had
the changing of pins. Chris received her Past
Honorary President’s Pin, Sandy received her
Honorary President’s Pin and Gloria received her
President’s Pin.
Well time to angelically say farewell, exchange Christmas greetings and prepare for our 100 Anniversary.

Shriners Hospital License Plates
(for Shriners & non-Shriners alike)
Shriners and non-Shriners, here’s an easy
way to help kids in the St. Louis Shriners
Hospital for Children. Just order personalized Shriners license plates (for your car,
motorcycle or truck up to 12,000 lbs.) and
proudly display them on your vehicle.
These official Missouri state plates feature a Shriner carrying a child, the word
“Shriners” and our “Shriners Help Kids”
message, all in bright colors on a white
background.
Your donation will help with orthopedic research and treatment at the St.
Louis Shriners Hospital for Children!
You can order in five easy steps: 1. Make a minimum contribution of $25 (one year) or $50 (two years).
If you want to make a larger contribution, just add it to your $25 or $50. Send your check to your nearest
Shrine Center. Make your check payable to MO Shriners License Plate. 2. The Shrine Center will send you
two documents 1) An application for personalized plates 2) An “Emblem Use Authorization Statement.”
This is proof that you contributed to the Shriners License Plate Program. It will be required when you submit your plate application. 3. Complete the “Application for Missouri Personalized and Special License
Plates.” The Shriners plates allow 6 spaces for your personalized message. If you want a disabled plate,
only 4 characters are allowed for personalization. All Shriners license plates are considered personalized plates and require payment of a $15 one-year personalized fee, or $30 two-year fee to the Missouri
Department of Revenue. 4. Take your “Application for Missouri Personalized and Special License Plates,”
“Emblem Use Authorization Statement” and $15 personalized plate fee to your local license office. 5.
The Dept. of Revenue will order your plates. You will be notified by mail when your plates are available
and given information about getting them at your local license bureau. If you have any questions
about your processing or your “Application for Missouri Personalized and Special License Plates,” direct
them to the Department of Revenue through your local license bureau.
