If you dream of a barefoot luxury wedding or if you want to celebrate a milestone in your life; Old Mac
Daddy is a special, memorable place to do the deed. A beautiful stretch of lawn beside the lake is perfect for a
ceremony and our barn venue is a magnificent indoor-outdoor space for your reception or party.
Relaxed, unfussy and all about friends; Old Mac Daddy can host a wedding or gathering for 30 overnight guests
(based on two people sharing one trailer and six guests in the Villa). Provision can be made for an additional 18
overnight guests on day beds in certain trailers. For the ceremony or party; our restaurant and barn can host
up to 65 seated guests - and more if you choose a buffet or braai-style event.
The Elgin area offers plenty of additional accommodation and lots of activities to keep your guests busy before
and after the big event.
Our weddings are perfect for informal, playful couples who will enjoy an inspired,
creative venue for their nuptials. We are happy for you to play in our space and add your personal
touches but the basic wedding set-up consists of:
 exclusive use of Old Mac Daddy and Brinny Breezes from (weekends) 2pm on the Friday of the
wedding, until 11am on the Sunday after the wedding – Sun to Thurs off-holiday season (one night)
weddings will have exclusivity from 2pm on the day of the wedding, until 11am the following day
 personal consultation with our wedding co-ordinator and assistance with links to trusted service
providers in the area
 a tailor-made event the night before your wedding and/or a wedding brunch the following day
 the set-up of a ceremony space on the lawn which includes ‘church’ pews and a bar service
 use of the lakeside deck and pool deck
 rustic contemporary food and experienced catering staff
a fully stocked bar with affordable options on wines and bubbly
 venue hire includes use of tables, chairs, linen, glassware, cutlery and crockery (see below)
a great bride’s nest in Daddy’s Villa (plenty of room for getting ready)
unforgettable accommodation for your family and friends

Please note that out of respect for our neighbours, we are not able to set up a dance floor outdoors and music
must be set at suitable levels. The venue reserves the right to control the music volume.
about the accommodation

Our nine Trailer Suites can sleep two adults in a queen-sized bed, and two children (additional R195 per
child per night) or two adults (additional R350 per adult per night) on day beds in the lounge.
Life Before Colour is a romantic hillside trailer that is strictly for two, an ideal choice for the newlyweds
first night!
We have two Lakeside Trailers; Birdy is a small trailer with a private deck and a bathroom unit. Love Cake
is a large, contemporary Airstream with a private deck and on-board bathroom/toilet. Love Cake also offers
an additional kids trailer, Me Too I Do, which shares the main trailer bathroom (mostly suitable for kids).
The self-catering Daddy’s Villa can accommodate a maximum of 6 people in 3 private bedrooms (1 room
with a King-size bed and en-suite bathroom and shower, one with Queen-sized bed and 1 room with 2
single beds – these share a shower/toilet).
Rates are subject to change without prior notification, inclusive of VAT @ 14% and quoted in SA Rand
about the money
You will be billed for all accommodation by Old Mac Daddy and everything else by Brinny Breezes
1. On booking the wedding date you will need to pay a non-refundable 20% deposit on the accommodation
portion of the wedding only.
2. Six months (or immediately if you are less than six months prior to your date) before the wedding, you will
need to pay the balance of the accommodation deposit (30%) totalling a 50% non-refundable deposit.

Three months prior to the wedding you are required to pay R 5 000 refundable booking
payment/damages deposit for the venue. This amount will be finalised once it is agreed that no damage to
property has occurred and all tabs have been settled. The difference or full amount will be EFT’d into your
bank account within 10 working day after your celebration.
4. Three months before the wedding date, you will be required to also pay for the full venue hire fee,

Your wedding lunch or dinner, pre-ordered wines and corkage, will need to be settled upon receiving
Invoice from restaurant 2 weeks prior to wedding.
6. The 100% balance on accommodation must be paid 7 days before the date of arrival of the wedding party.
