1212 Lirico – 18 Red (Vines on Red) – 2 yards
1212 Lirico – 34 Olive (Vines on Olive) – ¼ yard.
1212 Lirico – 45 Teal [** From Costa de las Flores- Azure Collection] (Vines on Teal) – 1/3 yard
1212 Lirico – 99 Black (Multi Color Vines on Black) – 2 ¼ yards.
1213 Becara – 11 Multi (Multi Print) – ½ yard
Black Solid – 2/3 yard
Batting – 76” X 76” square
Backing – 4 ½ yards
Cutting Directions:
1210 Flores – 10 Caliente (Block Border Print):
Cut: Fussy cut 9 ½” X Length of Fabric
strips.
From these strips create four (4) Outer Border strips as shown below:
1211 Flores – 10 Ivory (Small Floral on Ivory):
Cut: Eight (8) – 3 ½” X WOF (Width of Fabric) strips.
From these strips cut seventy-two (72) Hexagons.
1211 Flores – 11 Grey (Small Floral on Grey):
Cut: Three (3) – 3 ½” X WOF strips.
From these strips cut twenty-one (21) Hexagons.
1212 Lirico – 18 Red (Vines on Red):
Cut: Three (3) – 3 ½” X WOF strips.
From these strips cut twenty-two (22) Hexagons.
Cut fourteen (14) – 3” X WOF strips.
From these strips cut ninety-two (92) – 3” X 3” squares.
Cut: six (6) – 2” X WOF strips.
From these strips create two (2) – 2” X 48 ½” strips and
Create two (2) – 2” X 51 ½” strips.
1212 Lirico – 34 Olive (Vines on Olive):
Cut: Two (2) – 3 ½” X WOF strips.
From these strips cut eighteen (18) Hexagons.
1212 Lirico – 45 Teal [** From Costa de
: las Flores- Azure Collection] (Vines on Teal)
Cut: Three (3) - 3 ½” X WOF strips.
From these strips cut twenty-seven (27) Hexagons.
1212 Lirico – 99 Black (Multi Color Vines on Black):
Cut: Twenty-two (22) - 3 ½” X WOF strips
From these strips cut two hundred eighteen (218) hexagons.
1213 Becara – 11 Multi (Multi Print):
Cut: Three (3) – 3 ½” X WOF strips.
From these strips cut twent-four (24) hexagons.
Cut: One (1) – 4” X WOF strip.
From this strip cut twelve (12) Hexagons in the opposite direction.
Black Solid:
Cut: Eight (8) – 2 ½” X WOF strips for Binding.
Piecing Directions:
Sew hexagons together in rows as shown below (Be sure to watch the direction of the 1213 Becara –
20 Multi print):

Sew rows of hexagons together as shown below:

Trim Center to 48 ½” X 48 1/2” square. Trim four corners to 9 ½” X 9 ½” square.
Make ninety-two (92) – Prairie Points by folding the ninety-two (92) - 1212 Lirico – 18 Red – 3” X 3”
squares in half diagonally twice. Place twenty-three (23) Prairie points on each side of the trimmed
center overlapping each other by approximately ½ inch. Baste these Prairie Points to the quilt center.
Sew the two (2) – 2” X 48 ½” – 1212 Lirico – 18 Red strips to the sides of the quilt center. Sew the
two (2) – 2” X 51 ½” – 1212 Lirico – 18 Red strips to the top and bottom of the quilt center.
Sew two (2) of the fussy cut and pieced – 9 ½ X 51 ½” - 1210 Flores – 10 Caliente Block Print for Outer
Border strips to the sides of the quilt. Sew two (2) of the Small Hexagon squares to the ends of the
remaining two – 9 ½ X 51 ½” - 1210 Flores – 10 Caliente Block Print for Outer Border strips. Sew these
strips to the top and bottom of the quilt.
