Welcome Back!
A hearty “Welcome Back!” to all veteran
students and new! DDC News, a
newsletter that will be published every
month, is designed to keep everyone
informed as to studio updates, current and
upcoming events, and much, much more.
Newsletters will be available at the front
desk and posted on our lobby bulletin
board throughout each month. Be sure to
check our website as we will have the
current month’s issue, as well as previous
month’s issues, posted for your
convenience. Be sure to check it out every
month, as it will contain important
information to keep you up-to-date.
Another great reference to access
registration, class information, schedules
and events; or to contact the studio is
through our website
www.daytondanceconservatory.com
Don’t forget! We are still accepting
registrations for fall classes, so if you have
any friends or family interested in dance,
bring them in to register and you will
receive a $5.00 tuition credit to your
account after their first month’s tuition has
been paid!
Thanks for choosing to be a part of our
DDC Family! We are looking forward to
a spectacular 2011-2012 Season!
Dress Code Reminders…
“The future
belongs to
those who
believe in the
beauty of their
dreams
-Eleanor
Roosevelt
DDC does have a dress code and a complete description of our dress code requirements is listed in
our Parent/Student Handbook. Please take the time to read through the dress code information to
ensure your student is prepared with the proper dance attire, including shoes and hair, in order to
attend their particular class.
Here are some helpful hints…
 Check to see what color leotard is required for your particular level of ballet
 Underwear should not be worn with leotards & tights
 Hair should always be off the face and neck. A hair bun is required in Ballet levels I-VI and
all levels of Modern, Lyrical & Jazz
 All Jazz shoes should be pull on, no laces
 Hip Hop students should wear loose fitting active wear – pants should be knee length or
longer and flexible full sole sneakers used only for dance
 Make sure all jewelry, except for small post earrings, is left outside of the classroom
Dress code (both attire & hair) will be strictly enforced. Students not meeting the specified
dress code will be asked to sit and watch class until the dress code has been met. These
requirements are not only to uphold the discipline of the arts you are studying, but to interface
with our facility, equipment and for your safety as well. No exceptions will be made.

Parent/Student Handbook Reminders
A couple of new policies have been
instituted for the 2011-2012 Season,
so don’t forget to read through your
Parent/Student Handbook and
submit your Parent/Student
Agreement by Sunday, September
18.
New Billing Procedure!
In a better attempt to “Go Green” we
will NOT be distributing monthly
tuition statements the beginning of
each month.
Payment Options!
1. Automatic Deduction: We will be
offering an Automatic Deduction
option again this year. If you are
interested in having your tuition
payment automatically withdrawn
from your credit card or debit card
account, please complete and submit
a Student Payment Plan Contract.
Auto-charge tuition payments will be
withdrawn on the 1st of each month.
Accounts will be charged starting
October 1st.
2. Monthly: Tuition is due the 1st of
every month (including September)
and the rates are broken down into a
convenient nine-month payment
schedule, September through May
(June tuition will be billed the month
of May). Students with classes on
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
will be billed for one class in June.
Students on the unlimited class option
will be billed the full amount in June.
3. Annual: Pay your annual tuition in
one installment before September 18th
and receive a 10% discount. (This
does not include the Monthly
Unlimited option, as this is already a
great savings! Discounts cannot be
combined)
No refunds will be given for pre-paid
tuition. In the unlikely event a student
needs to withdraw from classes, for
any reason, a Class Add/Drop Form
must be completed and submitted to
the front desk by the 1st of the month.
If the class Add/Drop Form is not
submitted by the 1st, you will be liable
for that month’s tuition.
Don’t Forget! Monthly tuition is due
the 1st of each month and is
considered late after the 18th of each
month. A $10 late fee will be applied
to your account if tuition is not paid
by the 18th. Dancers will not be
permitted to dance if an account is
more than 60 days past due.
Please do not park in front of the
building, as it is a fire lane and unsafe
for the children crossing the street into
the building. It also blocks Subby’s
Drive Thru Lane.
Please contact DDC’s office manager,
Sarah Kimerling at (937) 236-6011 if
you have any questions or concerns
regarding our policies or procedures.
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU!
We would like to take this section to thank all of our
volunteers, parents and students for all of their time and
hard work at the 2011 Dance Recital!
Because of you, it was a HUGE success!
Don’t forget… Campbell Photography was there taking
action shots! You can still order pictures if you visit:

Summer Fun at Fifth Third Field…
DDC’s Mini Dugout Dancers have been performing at
Fifth Third Field all summer long and boy have they
been blowing all of those baseball fans out of their seats
with their out-of-sight dance moves!
The Mini’s performed incredibly polished jazz and tap
routines on the dugouts... some with Heater and Gem...
and had a blast doing it! They even got to meet Magic
Johnson and Archie Griffin at the July American
Celebration game! Wahoo!!!
If you did not get a chance to catch any of their
performances this past season, don’t fret! There will be
a new group of Mini Dugout Dancers tearing up those
dugouts in April 2012… keep your eyes posed in early
2012 for further information.
What a FANTASTIC 2011 Season Mini Dugout Dancers!
DDC is very proud of you!
