INTRODUCTION
Formerly Kelvinside Parish Church, Òran Mór,
Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’,
is a thriving arts and entertainment venue
in the heart of Glasgow’s West End.
The Auditorium is a breathtaking architectural setting for a range
of events, from workshops for 80 people to a formal banquet of 276.
Beneath the celestial ceiling mural by Alasdair Gray, one of Scotland’s
largest pieces of public art, guests can enjoy our fine Scottish food and
impeccable service.
The Private Dining Room is a beautifully appointed room with views
over the Kibble Palace in the Botanic Gardens. This small but perfectly
formed space is ideal for discreet meetings and dinners and has a
sumptuous seating area, private bar and boardroom table.

for hire for weddings, dinners and corporate events. From your initial
enquiry through to the completion of your event, you will have one
contact ensuring a personal and efficient service.
We recognise that each event has different requirements and therefore
we offer complete flexibility including bespoke menus and an
accommodating approach to any request.

ÒRAN MÓR
WEDDING
CEREMONIES
Òran Mór is licensed for civil, religious and humanist
wedding ceremonies, as well as civil partnerships.
For our current ceremony hire rates, please enquire
with the wedding coordinator.
Civil ceremonies and civil partnerships are conducted
by Glasgow City Council registrars. To make
an enquiry please contact 0141 287 7654 or
0141 287 7655.
The Auditorium is available for ceremonies for up
to 275 guests and the Gallery can accommodate up
to 50 guests (44 guests if a Registrar is conducting
your ceremony).

WEDDING
RECEPTIONS
Òran Mór’s stunning Auditorium provides a
sophisticated setting for a reception comprising of
between 80 and 275 seated guests. The finest Scottish
produce is prepared to the highest standards and
served by our friendly and professional staff.
The Auditorium lends itself equally well to a formal
occasion, and an informal party-oriented reception.
The sumptuous Private Dining Room is a beautifully
appointed, elegant space perfect for intimate receptions.
The room boasts a private bar and sofa area, lift
access and views over the Kibble Palace and Botanic
Gardens. The Private Dining Room can be used
in conjunction with The Gallery to host smaller
celebrations for up to 32 guests.
The Auditorium and Private Dining Room are both
licensed until 2am and we welcome children under
the age of 18 until midnight at family occasions.
The Auditorium facilities include private entrance,
private cloakroom, private bar, dedicated kitchen,
disabled access and baby change.
Please note the minimum number for a wedding
reception in The Auditorium is 80 guests on Sunday
to Friday dates and 100 guests on Saturday dates.

THE AUDITORIUM
The Auditorium is a breathtaking architectural setting
for a range of events, from workshops for 80 people to
reception of 400. Beneath the celestial ceiling mural
by Alasdair Gray, one of Scotland’s largest pieces of
public art, guests can enjoy the fine Scottish food and
impeccable service that has put us on the map as one
of Glasgow’s leading venues.
It is an atmospheric room enhanced by the stained
glass windows, and, as well as retaining many of the
original features of the church, offers a contemporary
setting in which to hold events. The facilities include
a private entrance, a dedicated kitchen, disabled access,
natural daylight and an original architectural setting.
