PICKERING VILLAGE JAZZ FESTIVAL – Organized by the Pickering Village
BIA, this annual event draws music lovers from across the Region into Ajax.

CELEBRATE AJAX BY THE LAKE – A day devoted to celebrating Ajax’s
unique jewel of a waterfront! The event features activities, displays and great

Discover historic Ajax
Ajax is named in honour of the HMS Ajax, one of three Royal Navy Ships that served with distinction
during the Second World War. This legacy lives on in many forms throughout the Town – each new
street of the Town is named in honour of the officers and crew that served on the Ajax, Exeter and
Achilles ships. Trees are planted on these streets when a veteran or family member visits. Landmarks
like Pickering Village and Veterans’ Point Gardens showcase this history and are yours to explore!

Greenwod Conservation Area is a great destination for outdoor adventure. Hiking trails allow you to
explore the forest or the steep-sided river valley; Duffins Creek boasts some of the best trout fishing
