Overview:
With two impressive (re) releases thus far for Tribunal
Records, SWIFT now presents their first truly new
material for the label, in the form of A Communication
Manual. Waging War received nothing but stellar
reviews upon its release, and with that SWIFT have
been able to build mightily upon the very foundations
that Thoughts Are Thought was able to initially construct. A Communication Manual is a necessary, bold,
and exciting step in this band’s career. It is easily their
most accessible, but still remains loyal to what the
fans have come to expect and love from this band. It’s
masterfully crafted melodic rock with the occasional
“metal” breakdown tossed in at precisely the best
moment possible to achieve maximum effect. SWIFT
know what they are doing, and the maturity of the
material on A Communication Manual proves this to be
evident. If you enjoy Incubus, Glassjaw, Deftones and
(newer) Poison The Well you will surely enjoy SWIFT.
Press:
“Swift do what they do with a kind of zeal and enthusiasm that’s hard to
come by in the hardcore scene and almost non-existent in the world of
mainstream music. Personally, I found it a little embarrassing when I began
to enjoy this album due to it’s explicit nu-metal sound, but after a while it
grew on me so much that I was reluctant to take it out of my normal CD
rotation.” Lambgoat
“Inspiring, empowering and captivating, this is SWIFT.”
Pimp Rock Palace
“While Waging War does have an obvious hardcore slant, the commercial
viability shown on this release provides the listener with a glimpse of what
the future holds for Swift...these songs would make for beautiful radio hits
and major labels surely must notice this.” www.allmusic.com
