TNB OPEN INNOVATION CONTEST 2014 serves as the ultimate platform
for participations to showcase their innate and emerging innovative
skills and talents. TNB’s Open Innovation Contests are organized as time
-limited activities in which participants are invited to submit ideas on a
certain challenge. Submitted ideas are evaluated, and one or
more winners selected.
There are four (4) themes provided for TNB Open Innovation Contest
2014. It covers various aspects of TNB’s business operations such as
technical, customer service, new business, asset management and others. Participants are encouraged to choose one (1) topic only from the
followings.
Theme 1: Enhancing our Customer's Experience
Theme 2: Generating New Business Revenues for TNB
Theme 3: Inculcating Innovation Culture in TNB

Gold Medal for UNITEN at Pertandingan Rekacipta dan Inovasi Institusi Pengajian
iRMC is proud to share the recent success of Dr Azmi bin Mohd Yusof from COIT
on his achievement during Pertandingan Rekacipta dan Inovasi Institusi
Pengajian Tinggi Swasta, PERINTIS 2014 held at IUKL on 9th September 2014. The
President and Vice-Chancellor of IUKL, Prof. Dr. Roslan Zainal Abidin awarded
the GOLD Medal to Dr. Azmi Mohd Yusof on his invention entitled “Stress Treatment Using Realistic and Immersive Relaxing World through Virtual Reality Technology”. Among 97 inventors, the expert panel of judges uniformly selected Dr
Azmi Mohd Yusof’s invention as “ The Most Promising Invention Award”.
The International Greentech & Eco Products Malaysia (IGEM) 2014 Exhibition at
The Centre for Electric Transportation & Systems (CETS) participated
in the TNB booth at IGEM 2014 inspired by the concept of ‘Smart
Living’. The electric car was one of the main highlights in the exhibition. It was patronized by many visitors including the Deputy Prime
Minister,Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the President and CEO of
TNB, Datuk Seri Ir Azman Mohd.
UNITEN is also honoured to receive ‘Watikah Pelantikan’ as the host of PERINTIS
2016. PERINTIS is an innovation and invention competition opened for private
and public universities, polytechnics, community colleges and secondary schools
both at national and international levels. The competition is co-organized by the
Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation Malaysia (MOSTI) and supported
by Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE).
