Something Worth Fighting For

"This year's Workshop was a great opportunity for the
Fellowship of the Crown (of Youth) to bring in new recruits and
provide skills training at Friday night's fun events and Saturday
Morning's seminars. Saturday night was full of entertainment during
the Sweetheart Pageant, dance, and the pizza party that followed.
The much anticipated Awards Ceremony Sunday morning
recognized chapters and members alike for their hard work and
dedication during the previous year. May Workshop provide us the
strength and motivation to continue on our unexpected journey
towards greatness!"

Brother Justin Brian:
Congrats to ODA on another successful Leadership Workshop! Also
congratulations to our 13 new brothers!
February we will be holding various opportunities for our young
men to achieve one of DAD Land's dreams, receiving his RD. I will
be attending chapters all of February. We will be having our second
RD ceremony at the DeMolay Month Closing Lock-In for those
whose RD's have been accepted.
Thank you all and time to look forward for 2014!

Dear OK DeMolay,
What a great Workshop! I hope you all had as much fun as I did.
Remember to continue to share DeMolay throughout your communities. An
awesome way to do that is through the Service with the Sweethearts
program your State Sweetheart, Shelby and I have implemented this year.
Be volunteering in your communities by doing various activities. This will
help to get the name of DeMolay out in the world more, which will help to
spread the brotherhood. If you have any questions about the program, ask
your Chapter Sweetheart, Shelby or I. Congratulations Stillwater Chapter
on being named Chapter of the Year! Congratulations to all of the new
brothers initiated at Workshop. I hope you all will love DeMolay! I will see you all soon and hope to
get to know each of you. Congratulations Ok DeMolay on another successful year. You boys are all
wonderful! Keep working hard to grow DeMolay!

Do you remember?
Do you remember why we use the Sunday closest to March 18th as the date that we observe
Devotional Day? That date is significant for two purposes in DeMolay. First because 95 years ago
that was the date of the first Initiation for DeMolay and secondly to mark the Anniversary of the date
that Jacques De Molay was burned at the stake. This year marks the 700th Anniversary. What is your
chapter planning to commemorate this solemn occasion? Send us pics and let everyone know in the
next newsletter.
