Siraman Ceremony
The bath ceremony is to purify the couple physically
and mentally before their wedding. The water used
during the ceremony is made up of water from 7
sources of wells and springs and 7 types of flowers.
Midodareni Ceremony
The bride would dress up beautifully and stay in her
room from 6pm to 12mn. It is believed that a
goddess would visit her during the night before the
wedding. Meanwhile, the elder women would
accompany her and give her useful advices.

decorated with “Tarub” plant decoration.
Wiji Dadi Ceremony
The groom steps on a chicken egg with his right
foot and the bride will wash it using water mixed
with several kinds of flower. This shows that the
groom is ready to be a responsible father and the
bride should serve her husband faithfully.
