Elmia has a long tradition and extensive
experience of organising industrial fairs. One
of our flagships is Elmia Subcontractor, which
brings together the entire subcontracting
industry, but we also have trade fairs for
plastics, automation and welding, to give a
few examples. This means that we have developed both expertise and a strong network
within the manufacturing industry – both of
which are now benefiting all industry members
and exhibitors.

Modern and efficient machines are crucial if Swedish companies
are to retain their competitiveness. It is therefore extremely important
that there is a trade fair for machine tools right here at home.
ELMIA MACHINE TOOLS
Elmia Machine Tools is a dedicated trade fair for machine
tools, tools and measurement technology. Visitors can see
the machines in operation and the focus is on business deals.
The fair has its own hall directly adjacent to the parallel events.
Visitors can of course move freely between the fairs.
As the organiser of Sweden’s leading industrial fairs, Elmia can
now – together with the Swedish Machine Tool Dealers’ Association
(SVMF) and the Machine & Tool Association of Sweden (MTAS) –
present Elmia Machine Tools. We can now offer the Swedish
manufacturing industry a complete production technology trade
fair featuring everything in machine tools, tools and
measurement technology.
CREATIVE TEAM
– ELMIA’S WORKING MODEL
There is a Creative Team at all the production
technology fairs at Elmia. Consisting of representatives from exhibitors and the industry, the team
discusses tactical and operational issues. The
Creative Team ensures that the fair has the right
contents and the team has a lot of influence on
prioritising activities and marketing.
CLOSEST FOR THE MOST
Seven and a half million people and most of
Sweden’s manufacturing industry can reach
Elmia within a maximum of three hours by
car. Companies in Sweden’s large industrial
regions such as Västra Götaland, Öster­
götland and Småland can easily visit the fair
for the day.

It’s easy to move into and out from Elmia.
The halls are at ground level and the doors
are large, making it easy to bring in equipment
and machines. Hall B has excellent capacity in
terms of floor load bearing capacity, electricity
supply and ventilation.
Elmia’s facility offers excellent possibilities to
everyone who wants to hold conferences.
The integrated Congress Centre contains
both large and small conference rooms
equipped with modern technology so it is
easy to combine the fair with meetings.

Jönköping is growing and developing rapidly.
In the past year a totally new city hotel has
been built and others have expanded.
Jönköping is Sweden’s fourth-largest hotel

ELMIA WELDING & JOINING TECHNOLOGY
This fair premiered in 2012 and became Sweden’s first dedicated fair with a focus on welding
and joining. The fair was organised in cooperation with the Swedish Welding Commission and
has become a great success and a unique meeting place for the entire industry. The fair grew
by 40 percent up to 2014.
Elmia Automation premiered in 2012 and is held every other year. It is obvious that the fair fulfils an important function and
gives results. The fair grew by no less than 25 percent up to its 2014 edition. Today Elmia Automation is the leading automation trade fair for the manufacturing industry. This is where suppliers of industrial
robots, components and systems integrators exhibit. The fair is a unique opportunity for Swedish companies to see automation equipment “live” right here at home.
