DENVER AUTO SHOW OVERVIEW
Final plans are being laid for next month’s Denver Auto Show, March 20-24 at the Colorado
Convention Center. This is CADA’s premier annual event. The Auto Show promises to be exciting
and inspiring for our industry, association members and for Colorado’s car-loving public. We want
to share the details so you can share our excitement and get involved.
The Innovative Dealer Summit (IDS) begins Tuesday, March 19, at the Colorado Convention
Center. By popular demand this year’s Summit again will extend over two days. It’s a tremendous
way to get you and your management team up to speed and engaged on the latest information and
ship operations. CADA brings together the best minds in the business to share what they know
with us, with a particular emphasis on how innovative technologies and Internet strategies can be
used to improve all aspects of your business.
Your IDS registration automatically gains you admission to this year’s Denver Auto Show
Foundation and National Jewish Health. This year’s event will take place among glitter and shine

preview for dealers and Colorado VIPs in business, government and media. There will be special
entertainment, including a fashion show, great music and delicious food. You won’t want to miss
out on what’s become a must-attend Colorado social event.
The build-up to the show is already under way with the Green Car Convoy that showcases the
this year include a presentation to a local Rotary Club to which dealers are invited to attend. The
convoy rolled into Gunnison on Feb. 18 in Montrose, Boulder and Golden on Feb. 19. It hits
Frisco, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Cañon City on Tuesday, March 12, and wraps up Thursday,
on Sunday, March 17. Green cars will be on display – appropriately on St. Patrick’s Day – at the
Colorado Capitol Building from 1-3 p.m.
The Denver Auto Show is CADA’s biggest annual event and serves as Colorado’s largest annual
consumer show. It promises to be bigger and better than last year’s record-breaking extravaganza.
Last year’s show was a record-breaker with our best-ever one-day attendance on Saturday,
huge increases in attendance for Senior and Industry Nights and the largest-ever attendance at our
Charity Preview Party. We also had the biggest and best-attended Innovative Dealer Summit so
far. With your energy and interest, and if the public’s interest in viewing and seeing the best our
industry has to offer, I’m betting we can meet or exceed all of these records in 2013!

DEALERS RECOGNIZE THE
IMPORTANCE
AND VALUE IN
THE EXCHANGE
OF NEW IDEAS
AND OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGY
Nearly 100 years ago, a
group of dealers came together in Denver and formed
the Denver Auto Dealers Association which later shared
Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) and ultimately, after 94 years of operation, merged with CADA into one association.
As the picture shown here indicates, the Colorado dealers have come
together over many decades to gain
new information on how to better run
their dealership operations. The value
of idea exchange is vital to the success
of your dealership. Dealers recognized
the value in exchanging ideas 50 years ago, and that same value is
recognized today more than ever, even though these information

the past 50 years and will continue to change in an ongoing effort
to meet the changing world of automobile dealers.

The Innovative Dealer Summit was created as the best way
for dealers to stay current with trends, tools, techniques, processes
and increase sales with new technologies without having to attend
multi-day, out-of-state conference sites.
Now, after four years, we offer the best and most innovative
educational event ever.
