The Bay Area Alliance for Youth and
Families brings together everyday heroes
to educate and mobilize our community to
create an alcohol and drug-free future for
our youth. The community coalition serves
children through education and targeted mentoring to give students an
equal voice and empower them to impact their community and change
their world.
The Gulf Coast Center of Military Veteran Peer Group provides
essential service and training to veterans in the community through
various Veteran Support Services. This group is an affiliation of service
members, veterans and family members dedicated to establish camaraderie
and trust with each other, identifying and vetting community resources
and collectively contributing to the communities where we live.

BJ Thomas
BJ Thomas is a true American
institution whose iconic pop,
country and gospel hits defined
their respective generations and
now transcend them.
The five-time Grammy and
two-time Dove Award winner
has sold more than 70 million
records and is ranked in
Billboard’s Top 50 most played
artists over the past 50 years.
Thomas is an identifiable cultural touchstone who continues to do
60-80 shows a year throughout the U.S. and abroad, from Australia and
Hong Kong to Paris. He discovered through technology just how deep
and loyal his fans’ commitment runs when a few years back, after an
interview he did with an online DJ, the host put some music together
for a one-hour on-line package that had 3.5 million downloads in three
days.
Some of Thomas’ signature hits are “Raindrops,” “Another Somebody
Done Somebody Wrong Song,” “Lonesome,” “I Just Can’t Help Believing,”
“Don’t Worry Baby” and “Hooked on a Feeling.” He expanded into
gospel music in the 70s and early 80s, earning the first 4 platinum
albums in the genre’s history: “Home Where I Belong,” “Happy Man,”
“You Gave Me Love” and “Amazing Grace.” Four of his Grammy
Awards were earned for his work in gospel as well.
His most recent album, “The Living Room Sessions” is B.J. Thomas’
first “unplugged” album, celebrating 50 years in the recording industry
and forty-seven years since his first gold record (a cover of the Hank
Williams song, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”). “The Living Room
Sessions” has many of Thomas’ most recognizable hits. It was produced
to instill the atmosphere of an intimate setting and includes duet
performances from some of Thomas’ favorite artists.
