WHAT IS SCUFFMASTER?
You wouldn’t use residential wallcovering for a commercial space, so why use residential paint
for a commercial space? Scuffmaster finishes were designed to exceed the demands of modern
commercial interiors. They’re Earth-friendly, design-friendly and they’re the most durable finishes in
their class.
After all, your designs can stand the test of time, shouldn’t your paint? ASTM D2486 Scrub Resistance Test
Scuffmaster uses the ASTM D2486 Scrub test to demonstrate the durability of our finishes. In this
test, dried paint samples are repeatedly scrubbed with an abrasive brush until the surface of the
paint deteriorates. This determines the number of “scrubs to failure”. The higher the number, the
more durable the paint.
Scuffmaster finishes wildly outperform the competition with ratings of 4000, 8000 and even in
excess of 25,000(!) scrubs compared to an average of 550 for the leading brands.

WHAT IS scrubtough?
A premium eggshell finish that attracts attention but repels scuffs and stains. ScrubTough’s
durable polyurethane formula withstands regular cleaning and keeps walls looking their best.
ScrubTough is a water based polyurethane-fortified eggshell coating. It is a two component
system that must be crosslinked with Masterlink™ crosslinker immediately prior to application.
ScrubTough can be brushed, rolled or sprayed.

WHAT IS ambient metallic?
Ambient Metallic begins with a rich, eggshell base in any colour and ignites it with a sparkling
metallic pattern coat for a dazzling, light catching effect.
Ambient Metallic is a unique, two-step finish that consists of (a) a base colour coat and (b)
a pattern coat. Because Ambient Metallic is so much stronger than typical paint, it gets
specified for a lot of corporate, education and retail spaces looking for a tough finish with a
pretty twist.

WHAT IS microban Protection?
All the previous Scuffmaster products contain Microban antimicrobial product protection.
This unique additive will inhibit the growth of stain and odour causing bacteria, mould,
mildew, and other fungal growth on the dried paint film. Microban protection provides an
added level of protection between cleanings, but does not take the place of normal cleaning
and disinfecting procedures and will not protect users or others against food-borne illness.
