SUMMARY
The City operates and maintains a fleet of work and pool vehicles
Currently the
City has two 2007 Chevrolet Silverado trucks assigned to Public Works for utility
maintenance that have reached their maximum life expectancy and are in need of
replacement Staff requests Council approval to purchase one 2016 Chevrolet
Silverado 1500 2WD truck in the amount of 25

REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION
Public Works Streets division has two 2 City vehicles that have reached their
maximum life expectancy Therefore staff recommends replacing the vehicles due
to their poor condition
FISCAL IMPACT
This expenditure was identified in the new 2015
2016 fiscal budget and approved
on June 8 2015 Therefore a budget amendment is not required

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LATHROP
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 2 REPLACEMENT CITY VEHICLES
FROM STEVES CHEVROLET
BUICK INC FOR PUBLIC WORKS
UTILITY MAINTENANCE
WHEREAS two 2007 Chevrolet Silverado trucks assigned to Public Works for
utility maintenance that have reached their maximum life expectancy and are in
need of replacement and
WHEREAS the funds to replace said vehicles are budgeted in the 2015
2016 fiscal budget approved on June 8 2015 and are available in various funds
throughout Public Works budget and
WHEREAS Steves Chevrolet
Buick Inc a specialty Chevrolet Dealer in the
Oakdale area provided a quote for one 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD Double
Cab in the amount of 25
