INTRODUCTION
We are pleased to supply you with this accessory catalogue and welcome you to the first product line of a unique, new
brand. This new brand name is ZTechnik, a division of National Cycle, Inc. ZTechnik exclusively specializes in high quality accessories for BMW Motorcycles.
The name itself, ZTechnik, is from the German “Zubehor Technik,” which roughly translate to “technical accessories” in
English. The philosophy of ZTechnik is to closely follow design principles established by the original equipment
designers and adhere to strict standards to produce only the highest quality accessories possible in order to enhance
the rider’s total experience. These accessories are supplied to BMW riders through BMW dealerships during and after
the purchase of their BMW motorcycle. In some cases, O.E. designers will contribute to ZTechnik product designs.
Come ride with us, and you will experience the spark that drives a product into the design phase. It’s not where we
hang our helmets these accessories are born. They find a place onto the pages of this catalogue after many miles of
riding motorcycles and talking with other BMW riders. The riders, the roads and the experiences are all very different,
but the one common bond all motorcyclists seem to share is the innate urge to mold their bike to themselves.

ZTechnik has created two American classic touring windscreens for
the R 1200 CL. The Z2271 has a traditional contour shape, and is
much taller than the stock 13” windscreen for the taller rider. The
chopped dark tint model, Z2270, adds a sporty edge to the “big CL”
cruiser. The matching dark tint Fairing Lowers complete the sporty
look.
The Z2270 and Z2271 employ FMR hard coated, 4.5mm Lexan® polycarbonate for unparalleled scratch resistance. Each shield is cut, edge
contoured, and formed for superior optics and great looks.

The burlwood or carbon fiber piece
is cut to shape. Afterward a clear
resin pour is carefully applied so all
edges have a radius edge. This is
of particular importance to the finished edge. ZTechnik products
achieve a fluid transition to the
contact surface of the motorcycle
at all edges. This is especially
noticeable around each indicator
light. A pressure sensitive adhesive
backing is applied that securely,
but safely, attaches the piece to
the motorcycle.

The ZTechnik Helmet Lock for BMW motorcycles uses the license plate
bracket to provide storage for two full-face helmets. A sturdy push
lock accepts D-ring or web strap loop helmet closures.
The ZTechnik Helmet Lock is manufactured from high strength steel
and finished in durable black powder coat. It comes with two matched
keys.

looking for secure, convenient, and attractive mounting surfaces to
support their technology.
ZTechnik has answered the call for tech support, and now offers a full
line of TechMounts® for BMW motorcycles. No matter where you go,

The Z6110 features an extra short stem and a compact overall design.
The clean, “sanitary” look of the cruiser is preserved, but with the
added convenience and function of a TechMount. The Z6111
TechMount is specially designed for the R 1200 C, but will fit any bike
with 1" handlebars. It shares all the traits of the Z6110.
The Z6200 is finished in anodized black.

The look is classic. DOLPHINE™. It’s aerodynamics are Pure Laminar
Flow. Similar to a racing bubble with minimum resistance, it features
low turbulence and that means low noise. These aerodynamic
enhancements add up to better comfort for both the rider and passenger of the R 1150 RS.
The Dolphine windshield is made from tough 4.5mm Lexan® polycarbonate for excellent optics, impact resistance, and crack resistance.
The FMR hardcoat gives you excellent abrasion resistance and longterm quality.
Adjusted up, down or anywhere in between, the Dolphine’s large bubble smooths out the air flow and the extra width provides a wider air
pocket.
The Dolphine’s pushed-out front
bubble increases your comfort
level. The Dolphine is also wide,
giving you good wind protection in
rainy or dusty conditions. It makes
a great windshield for two-up riding on the R 1150 RS.

The ZTechnik Z4000 Exhaust enhances the riding experience for the
R 1150 RT and RS riders. The exhaust features a polished stainless
steel muffler that never requires repacking, and mounts with enough
clearance to utilize the stock BMW saddlebags.

shape to ensure a smooth airflow behind the shield. The result is a
noticeable reduction in wind noise and “buffeting.” The Z2263 mounts
to the 2001-03 F 650 GS Dakar in minutes using three existing mounting holes and includes all additional hardware.

The K 1200 LT system comes from the factory
pre-wired with special couplers. These couplers
mate perfectly to a multi-pin connector located
under the passenger seat just forward of the top
case. Once the passenger seat is removed and
access to this connector is gained, simply pull
apart the connector and affix the two Baehr couplers on each open end. This supplies all necessary connections to the bike, including power.
The Baehr system for the K 1200 LT installs in
only 5 minutes with no splicing of wires by simply plugging into the factory wiring harness!

Possibly the single most important aspect of motorcycle maintenance
is tires. Tire pressure is critical to not only handling and fuel economy
but also to safety. Good tire maintenance means checking your tires
every time you ride, but most of us only check our tires occasionally.
Even if you regularly check your tires, tire pressures can change rapidly due to a variety of road conditions. SmarTire checks tire pressure
for you, even with the bike in motion.
SmarTire Tire Pressure Monitoring System provides continuous, real
time front and rear tire pressure monitoring. By taking into account
preset cold pressure and calculating rotational speed and ambient
temperature, SmarTire knows the ideal tire pressure at all times and
provides the rider an accurate reading of current tire pressure, current
temperature as well as pressure deviation (from ideal pressure).
SmarTire also warns the rider when their tire pressure has passed
outside the realm of safe pressure deviation. An example could be a
rapid decrease in tire pressure that could result in a blowout if the
rider does not stop the motorcycle.
SmarTire technology is achieved through wireless technology that
SmarTire has developed specifically for the motorcycle market. The
system consists of two sensors installed on the rims and a small
receiver/digital display that installs easily on the motorcycle’s instrument cluster.

ZTechnik’s extremely versatile 4-liter rear storage compartment is a
great addition or alternative to the standard tank bag.
In addition to the main compartment, four zippered storage areas
(three main areas and one document holder) are attached to a cleverly designed removable tray. On the top of the tray, the three generously sized zippered pockets hold a large number of items. Stuff them all
and fill the top cavity of the pod, or remove the tray altogether to open
the space into one very large main storage area. The Velcro® hinge
makes removal of the tray a snap.
