QUESTIONNAIRES
GARDEN PARTY
Thank you to everyone who has bought raffle tickets and
brought in items for the tombola and bric-a-brac stalls.
There are still plenty of tickets left to sell and we need more
items, please, for tombola or to make up hampers for raffle
prizes, if you have anything to spare.
Sorry to disappoint, but we’ve had great difficulty in trying
to hire a “dunking stool” (there’s definitely
a gap in the market for any budding
entrepreneurs!) We’re sure Adam will be
relieved but it looks like we’re going to have
to forget that idea.
Don’t worry though, there will be a variety
of stalls and, of course, the children’s fancy
dress competition which will be judged by
Cat Smith M.P.
(I’ve indulged here & included
Thank you to all our
domiciliary and meal
clients who completed our
six-monthly questionnaires.
The residential ones are on
their way to everyone.
We are pleased that you find
our services “good” and often
“excellent” but please
remember that if you aren’t
happy about something, get
in touch with us and we’ll
try to put it right there and
then.

QUEEN’S OFFICIAL BIRTHDAY
Our residents and guests had a lovely afternoon on
Friday, 10th June when we held a party in honour of
the Queen’s Official birthday. After watching the
service from St Paul’s on TV, everyone raised a toast
to Her Majesty before tucking into a
buffet lunch prepared by Sarah.
Entertainer, Jane Black , then arrived to
lead a singa-long.
HAIR RASING FUNDRAISER
Well done to Sam who bravely had her head
shaved for charity. She raised £280
altogether for Cancer Research which was
a fantastic effort..
KEPPLEGATE ACTIVITIES
Last month we gave you a little taster of life at Kepplegate. Here’s a sample of what everyone’s been
up to this month:-
Grace & Gladys concentrate on a Queen’s
Birthday jigsaw
SAFEGUARDING EVENING
We held a ‘get together’ on 1st
June to give relatives of our clients
more information on the subject of
Safeguarding. This was well
attended and a few people who
couldn’t make it have asked to
have factual material printed for
them.
John & Gladys get to grips with
the napkins
Irene & Elsie have fun with the balloon’s static!

NEW DOMICILIARY
LEAFLETS
Here are the draft
copies for the front and
reverse sides of our
new domiciliary
leaflets (the old ones
are out of date with
care staff wearing
black uniforms).
We haven’t sent them
to the printers yet &
would welcome any
comments/
amendments you might
want to share ...so
have your say before
it’s too late!
Many thanks to all our
“models” for agreeing
to be on the leaflets.
RECORDING A MESSAGE
Many thanks to everyone who has recorded a message on the
Ipad for your loved one in the Care Home. This calms down
your relative if they’re having an anxious day or merely just
brightens their day to see and hear from you.
If you don’t live nearby and can’t visit very often, please feel
free to record your message(s) on your phone and email them
to us at

NO AUGUST NEWSLETTER
Sorry folks, but there won’t be
another newsletter until September. I fly off to
the US at the end of this month, firstly to
Chicago to meet my new grandson (younger
son’s boy) who should have arrived & be
nearly 3 weeks old by then. It’s then off to Las
Vegas where elder son is holding his “stag
do” (no, I’m NOT invited!) & a couple of
days later, it’s on to San Diego, where his
wedding will take place in nearby San
Marcos. A few days afterwards we fly back
to Chicago for a further week with the new
baby before flying home. No doubt I’ll bore
you all with loads of pics on my return!
