At the suggestion of fruit- growers from Grójec region, in May 1999, the Association of
Mazovian Fruit- Growers with its headquarter in Grójec, was established. The Association is
a non-political, voluntary, non-profit, self-governing organization which acts on behalf of fruitgrowers. In 2002 the name of the Association was changed. The new name is: The Association of
Polish Fruit-Growers.
Aims and tasks of the Association:
– representing interests of growers,
– advice on the production of fruits
– shaping opinions on orchard production,
– organizing meetings and trainings for growers.
Currently, the Association includes 30 local branches with number of members about 4,000.
