E
very goal is a starting point and this consideration is even truer when applied to
Italy's favourite 100% Italian brand. In 2014 Landini celebrated its 130th anniversary in style, determination and with a bit of entertainment, thanks to the 130 Hours
Endurance event that involved 70 international reporters, celebrities like Gianluca Zambrotta, friends of Landini, sponsors and technicians.
Meanwhile, we were also able to regain pole position in Italy as the 100% Italian-made
brand with the highest number of machines registered (second place in absolute terms).
Naturally, we also continued to develop and launch new product families. The 4 Series
was completed with 64 and 76 HP models, while the 5H Series was given a new cab,
improved hydraulic flow rate and transmission specifications. In addition, we officially
launched the 6L Series and introduced a new range of equal-wheel tractors.
At the beginning of 2015, at SIMA, we kept up the pace with a world premiere of the
new bonnets designed for our glorious Rex tractors, featuring a renewed use of colour to
underscore the stylistic evolution (but not only that) that has characterized the Landini World.
A world that also includes lots of other stories of passion and enthusiasm in the export
side of the business. Stories that need to be told: from marvellous South Africa (a country
rich in True-Blue Landini enthusiasts) to Hungary, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Latin America and
Brazil, where a new facility for the assembly of Landini tractors for the local market was
inaugurated in June.
We're also introducing a new feature in this issue entitled “Argo People”, where you'll
find stories about Argo Tractors colleagues who dedicate skill and passion in productive and
strategic areas, thereby helping us to develop and create Landini history each day.

THE COMPANY
New production standards
in the plants
Argo Tractors
T
he tractors manufactured by Argo Group
remain faithful to the Made in Italy concept. Today, all the tractor components, including
the transmission, are produced in Italy. Made in Italy
is a quality claim based on the skills and abilities of
human resources that only time can slowly refine
and that can never be exported or substituted.
When it comes to claiming that the products
are Made in Italy, Argo Tractors belongs to the
ranks of industrial organizations that refuse to
accept compromises. They only declare that their
products are Italian-made if they are truly manufactured in Italy. However, the solution for continuing to be competitive comes from the other side of
the world. We're talking about Japanese production organization models already put into practice
by big names like Toyota.
The assembly lines in our four production
facilities were recently re-planned according to the
Kaizen principle, a management model involving
a production logic integrated by well-situated preassembly areas and dedicated service stores able to
sensibly improve the efficiency of the manufacturing system. These changes have streamlined the
structural and production part, while improving
logistics and enhancing the testing capabilities.
The assembly lines are also able to implement
the future technological developments that will
characterize all the machines and are the result of
the on-going investments made by the group in
research and development.
Although they will continue to be easy to handle and sturdily built, the machines manufactured
by Argo Tractors in the Emilian production facilities
will be increasingly based on mechantronics principles, i.e. a combination of mechanical engineering,
electrical engineering, control engineering and
computer engineering. All this, along with cuttingedge hydraulics, will gradually allow the tractors to
be almost self-driven.
The investments made by Argo Tractors confirm
the confidence the group has in its own abilities,
human resources and products. The same through
which the finished product storage terminal has
been enlarged from 26-thousand to 52-thousand
square meters.
And now a new test track has been built
here, in the heart of Emilia's “Motor Valley”.
This is where the products will be subjected to
increasingly sophisticated validation and functional control processes, result of 100% Italian skills and passion.

VALERIO MORRA CAVALIERE DEL LAVORO
Valerio Morra, Chairman and Managing Director of Gruppo ARGO
S.p.A., was appointed Cavaliere del Lavoro in 2014 and received
this highest of honours from the President of the Republic Giorgo
Napolitano at the Quirinale Palace on 24 October.
“Speaking in a personal capacity, I feel very honoured to receive this
award, but all the more so since it testifies to a journey through
the cycle of life and work shared with men
and women who, over the years, have raised
first Landini and then Argo Tractors to the
levels they have reached today.” affirmed
Morra. “A long and successful activity such
as this can only be based on a sound industry
platform able to keep up with the changing
times and situations, one that is based on a
simple principle: the right people in the right
place, at the right time.
Another immense satisfaction is having passed these values and this
passion on to the new generations of my family, as my father and
grandfather did before me.
By tradition unstable, the tractor industry has now become more
firmly-based and active thanks to the dawning economies of emerging countries. In contrast, although it's also very stimulating, the
challenge of globalization has become decidedly more demanding. Backed by its knowhow, its ability to transform ideas into products
and services, its flexibility, dynamic outlook,
research, innovation and training skills, Argo
Tractors is ready to grasp every opportunity.
And we intend to do this by remaining true to
the Made in Italy principle, i.e. by basing our
entire industrial process in our Italian production facilities”.

T
o mark the Landini brand's 130th anniversary,
the Argo Tractors Group decided to celebrate
this important event with a technical-social sort of initiative called “Landini 130 hours Endurance”.
This event, which took place last 6 to 11 October
at “Il Ciocco”, an estate situated in Castelnuovo Garfagnana, in the province of Lucca, drew over seventy
journalists from 14 European countries who put their
expertise to the test by driving a new Landini 7 Series
tractor.
The unusual participants alternated in an exciting
relay by driving on an off-road rally track, where not
only technical performance but solidarity were the
goals. Argo Tractors donated one euro for every kilometre covered, thereby creating a charitable fund for
the schools of Fabbrico (RE) damaged by earthquake
in May 2012.
The protagonist of the event was the latest Landini
high-power tractor model, the new “7 Series” equipped
with a 212 HP six-cylinder engine and 40-speed robotized transmission.
To ensure safe conditions for both the drivers and the
event itself, the tractor was fitted with a camera system
allowing the tractor and drivers to be checked visually.
In addition, each participant underwent a brief training
course before starting out.
Non-stop tractor driving for 130 hours provided
added interest, a strategy that underscored the reliability and sturdiness that have made Landini tractors
famous and appreciated throughout the world.
Despite the difficulties and demanding conditions,
the tractor faced the challenge for 130 consecutive
hours without ever faltering or tiring, despite the fact
that a large number of drivers with assorted abilities
and driving styles took over from each other in the cab.
From a technical aspect, the Landini technicians
were able to concretely assess the overall reliability
of the machine, its ease of use and management and
the high-level comfort provided by the cab, a latestgeneration compartment designed on the basis of the
most recent ergonomic dictates implemented by the
car industry.
By the time the event had terminated, the official
number of kilometers covered amounted to 992, in
171 laps at an average speed of 7.6 km/h, which meant
that we were able to consign a contribution of some
8,000 euros to the Municipality of Fabbrico.
The protagonists of the “Landini 130 hours Endurance” event included World football Champion and
brand spokesman Gianluca Zambrotta as well as the
former Offshore World Champion Maurizio Bulleri.
Lastly, the tractor was assisted throughout its
endeavours by a technical team from Argo Tractors
integrated by specialists from the companies that had
agreed to sponsor the initiative, i.e. Fpt Industrial,
ZF, Michelin, Bosch Rexroth, Grammer, Denso
and Adam Pumps. In addition, the Marchesi De’
Frescobaldi wine-making enterprise awarded each
driver a bottle of Nipozzano Reserve at the end of
the event. ■

014 marked the 130th anniversary of
Landini, the glorious tractor brand that has
written the history of agricultural mechanization in
Italy and the world. A unique event that acted as a
stimulus for numerous initiatives dedicated to a goal
that only few manufacturers can claim. The activities
organized did not merely focus on the most modern
technologies, like the “Landini 130 hours Endurance”
event, but also those of bygone days underscored by
the many initiatives dedicated to vintage tractors.
These included three appointments organized by
GAMAE, the most important Italian group of Italian
vintage tractor enthusiasts founded in 1980 under the
auspices of ASI, and of which Argo Tractors is a sponsor.
Many other events were organized throughout Italy during the summer by numerous associations of vintage tractor enthusiasts including: rallies,
exhibitions, parades with contests or old-fashioned
ploughing competitions during the day or even at
night, sometimes in conjunction with reenactments of

During these events, starting the Landini “hotbulb” engine was often like a ceremony. The initiatives often ended with awards for the participants, or
with lunches and dinners based on local specialities,
sometimes in conjunction with country fairs, dancing
or entertainment.
But this passion for vintage tractors is not just Italian, home of the Landini brand. A great many events
take place throughout Europe and even in the rest of
the world. However, the aim is always to share this
enthusiasm, this history and these traditions, and to
create occasions for purchasing or swapping memorabilia (operation and maintenance manuals, publications, vintage prints, etc.).
In addition, the enthusiasts are becoming increasingly interested in creative activities concerning vintage tractors, often by dedicating time to making scale
models of the machines in different materials.

TRADE SHOWS
Eima 2014: inexorable
T
he extraordinary number of visitors is certainly
one of the things for which Eima 2014 will
stand out in our minds. An unexpected success that
unceasingly drew large crowds to the completely
renewed Argo Tractors stand.
To mark the company's 130th anniversary, Landini
decided to face the public at Eima with a new look and
new initiatives: a giant ledwall broadcasting a continuous stream of rural images and product videos reflected
on a glossy white floor acted as a background to an
assortment of animation activities created in collaboration with Radio Bruno and the unfailing presence
of the popular Bufaline, a reference to Tractor Pulling,
but also to the ceremony where awards were presented
to visiting foreign importers, to the customer delegations and to the slot-machine game for the e-commerce launch.
Thus, Eima 2014 was a unique opportunity for
announcing the future of Landini, the brand with
such long and noble traditions. One that has come a
long, long way and has known how to interpret the
requirements of farming professionals by proposing
increasingly newer solutions. These were the innovations on show in the stand: first and foremost the
new 6L Series, a development of the Landpower
tractor, launched on the European market in three
models: 6-145L, 6-160L and 6-175L with 143, 163
and 176 HP power ratings, respectively. Sporting
the modern Family Feeling featured by Landini's
new generation tractors, the range is equipped with
Tier 4 Interim emissionized engines with SCR system and is ideal for open-field work, including the
heaviest duty jobs.
The 6L Series comes with the mechanical reverse
shuttle and can be supplied, as optionals, with a
hydraulic reverse shuttle and 3 speeds on load, a
hydraulic circuit with 87 l/min flow rate for utilities
and 38 l/min for steering. Up to 5 control valves are
available for hydraulic users, while the synchro PTO is
electro-hydraulically engaged (standard equipment).
The 5H Series was also on show with its new
cab, designed and built in Argo Tractors' Italian
production facilities, ensuring a decidedly superior
level of comfort and visibility. The main characteristics include a flat platform, 4-pillar structure and
extremely comfortable interior underscored by great
attention to detail, plus the “slim” roof that reduces
the overall height of the machine.

evolution
Not only cab innovations but further improvements
like the remarkable increase in hydraulic flow rate and the
upgraded transmissions.
Visitors to Eima were also informed that the 4 Series
range would now include 3 compact models: 4-060,
4-070 and 4-080 with 64, 69 and 76 HP maximum power
ratings, respectively. Available in both platform and cab
versions, the new 4 Series tractors are come with a 12 + 12
gearbox, mechanical or optional electrohydraulic reverse
shuttle, potentiometer and optional 16+16 creeper. The
new models embody Landini's low power utility tractor
philosophy since they are suitable for all farm uses, from
hay-making to jobs with front loaders and even work in
vineyards and orchards.
The 4-075 Tier 3 tractor was also presented, a model
with a Perkins Tier 3 engine which will be available for
the European market in 2015. An ideal solution when an
extremely versatile and accessible machine is required.
Among the innovations to the Landini range, the new
9000 Series equal-wheel tractor was presented in the footstep version but is also available with cab and in the articulated version. The new range will include two models, 9095
and 90105, featuring a reversible cockpit and FPT Tier 3
engines with 88 and 95 HP power ratings, respectively. ■

LANDINI 130 SOCIAL
One of the innovations in Landini's ultra-modern stand
at Eima 2014 was the “Landini 130” celebration
corner where the Landini 7-215, protagonist of the
“Landini 130 hours Endurance” event concluded
just a few weeks before EIMA, was on full show.
Straight from the strenuous outdoor relay initiative and
still covered in mud, the tractor's eye-catching bodywork and “stage setting”attracted lots of visitors
who had fun taking photos and selfies in front of the
authentic tractor, also because the corner proposed
another initiative: a social wall with contributions
from all Landini enthusiasts, including photos, cherished memories and tributes posted on the Facebook
page or other social networks (Twitter, Instagram,
etc) using the #landini130 tag.
The #Landini130 social initiative was launched a few
weeks before Eima via the Landini Facebook page and
Twitter account and invited all Landini enthusiasts to
share their Landini memories and become part of the
brand history: “Our story began in 1884 and we're
now here to celebrate it together! #Landini130” “Share your Landini memories with using #Landini130
and become part of our history!“ - “Our memory book
is growing thanks to you! If you want to contribute,
remember to add #Landini130” when you publish your
content. Here are some of the posts published.
The response was as positive as it was varied: some
sent photos of vintage tractors from their infancy,
others unusual snaps of tractors in the most different
contexts. Still others told of how many Landini tractors they'd purchased or when they'd started their
engines for the first time. There were photos and
videos of the recently concluded Landini 130 event,
while some had posted snaps of themselves in front
of the corner or in other parts of the Eima stand.

ratings ranging from 68 HP in the “REX 70” model to
110 HP for top-of-the-range “REX 120”.
The new 6C Series, one of the most interesting
innovations proposed by Landini, was presented in a
first-ever preview: the new 6-model features a 4.5-liter

bines modern styling with a unique level of comfort
comparable to that provided by the car industry. The
basic version can also be supplied with the optional
two-point mechanical suspension.
The axle (with or without brakes) also provides a
new sort of comfort thanks to electronically controlled
independent hydraulically actuated suspensions
which, as an alternative to the standard fixed axle,
guarantee high speed on rugged ground, increased
lugging power and improved manoeuvrability, all to
the benefit of comfort, safety and productivity.
The large stand at Sima also included the 4 Series
with its range additions, i.e. 3 new medium-low power
compact models: 4-060, 4-070 and 4-080. The 5H
Series was on show with its new cab, designed and
produced by Argo Tractors; machines that also feature
a remarkably increased hydraulic flow rate, i.e. 63 l/
min + 30 l/min, and increased fuel tank capacity. Other
machines exhibited included the sturdy and modern
6L Series, an evolution of Landpower launched on
the European market in three models, 6-145L, 6-160L
and 6-175L, plus the 7 Series with the new Year 2015
Model, featuring ergonomic and styling enhancements
that raise the level of comfort and improve performance.
Lastly, for the non-UE markets, Landini presented
Landforce 115 and Landforce 125 at the Paris
venue, tractors with 112 and 120 HP power ratings,
respectively, and an efficient 110 l/min closed-center
hydraulic circuit. ■

A TEMPTING TREAT WITH NUTELLA
The idea of presenting two world famous, but very different Italian products of excellence together, i.e.
Nutella and Landini, was received with enthusiasm
when a less formal version of a typically French speciality like crepes were offered crammed with Nutella in
a corner of the stand at Sima to all those who registered with the Landini area.
It was by this philosophy that the association of two
well-known brands, whose ties actually reach well
beyond the mouth-watering initiative, were underscored at Sima 2015.
For some years now, Landini has been supplying its
tractors to the Ferrero group, where they're not
only used in the hazelnut groves of Piedmont, but
also and especially in those located in other parts of
the world where Ferrero is present (Georgia, South
Africa, Argentina, Chile, etc.).
That's why Ferrero's world famous hazelnut spread was
the product chosen to underscore the prestigious partnership at the French trade show.

ARGO PEOPLE
T
he Argo Tractors investment program
involves the entire company. It focuses on
renewing the range, the production lines, on technological innovation, the purchase of new latest
generation machining centers and on the development of human resources.
The goal is to implement processes of increasing technological complexity through use of highly
qualified personnel.
Argo Tractors has lately been hiring young people with higher education qualifications and graduates on an open-ended contract basis. Here are
some of the first impressions expressed by the new
recruits when they were told they'd been hired.
«After a few months with the company,
I was really proud to have been offered
a job. Adoption of the Kaizen project
along my line gave me the opportunity
to improve my personal skills. I'd like to thank my
colleagues for the help they gave me and that they
continue to give me day by day.»
Andrea Ingrosso [shop floor, Luzzara plant]
«I was really happy but I had no idea I'd be receiving such great news so suddenly. I still can't believe
it. I feel really lucky to work for such an
important company and I'll always try to
do my utmost so as to repay them for
their confidence in me.»
Marco Gallusi [shop floor, Luzzara
plant]
«I couldn't wait to receive the news that would
change my working life. Now I really feel like one
of the Argo Tractors team: I can put my
name on my locker in the changing room
and know that it will stay there for a very
long time. My thanks to everyone for this
wonderful opportunity. I really want to
build my career in this company!»
Luigi Guglielmino [shop floor, Luzzara plant]
«For me, Argo Tractors is the ideal place
in which to work. It's the company itself
that brings out the passion and skills
of the people who, day by day, help to
make it great. I'm proud of being a part of all this
and thank all those who discerned in me the necessary qualities to work here.»
Rudy Formignani [shipments]
«I was allocated to the shipments department during
the first few months and I learned something different
every day thanks to very helpful colleagues and department heads. After this, I was transferred to the production department where I thought I'd certainly have to work harder. I think my attitude was actually rewarded because I began
to perform tasks with a certain responsibility
until I won the confidence of my bosses, colleagues and the company. I couldn't believe it when
they called me in to sign an open-ended contract, …I
thought of how it would change my life, of the things
I could do and, finally, how I'd no longer have to wait
anxiously for a company to call me…!»
Luca Martino [shop floor, Fabbrico plant]
«It's like a dream come true. At last I can ask for a
loan to buy a house or just sign a rental agreement
without asking others. I've always felt like
an Agro Tractors man but it all seems too
good to be true. My colleagues are now
colleagues more than ever and I come to
work in the morning without worrying
about what will happen next month. Thanks.»
Carmine Costagliola [parts dept.]
«I'm very satisfied to have become officially part of
such a prestigious and famous company as Argo
Tractors. There's a very stimulating atmosphere
here. This encourages me to improve myself each
day and to reach challenging corporate and personal goals with which we constantly have to contend. The people who work here are highly qualified and possess considerable experience
in this particular sector, but they shared
this with me right from the start and I
was able to learn and improve both my
professional and social-organizational
skills. This means that we all work together to attain
common corporate goals, just like a real team.»

mixing cycle as to fuel consumption, emissions,
safety and duration of the operations without the
need for operators with specific know-how or skills.
The power draw of the implement is measured
and the values are processed so as to optimize the
tractor's fuel consumption, emissions and the noise
pollution levels by modifying the speed / rate of the
PTO, tractor and implement transmission (Fuel Eco
function).
The system is able to manage and store torque
overload events with positive outcomes as to operator safety and the integrity of the mechanical transmission (Safety function). Integration with GPRS and
Cloud systems also enables alarm signals or end-ofmixture alerts to be received on a smartphone. In
addition, use of video systems allows operators to
monitor the UNIFEED feed size directly on the VT in
the cab (Watchdog function).
Although they were on show at Eima 2014 with
their individual brands, the enterprises involved
decided to present the IDEAgri network and relative
mix@tractor project by setting up a dedicated area,
testifying to their determination and intention to
strengthen their partnership in an increasingly tangible way as they endeavour to develop and establish
this operating methodology. ■

T
alk of renewal and a new course is also
involving the Landini sales network. The
focus is on dealer headquarters, which are becoming increasingly representative of the brand as well
as being the place where customers and dealers
meet. In short, they're acquiring the personality and
character that define Landini's corporate identity.
In the eyes of the end customer, the dealer's
image is corporate identity's most visible expression. It reflects the credibility, continuity and competence of the brand.
This is why Landini has decided to develop a
modern dealer concept that's true to the corporate
image but allows the dealers themselves to communicate efficaciously with the customers.
A headquarters customizing manual provided
by Landini contains all the information the dealers need to give their premises a new look, thereby
strengthening the concept of total quality for which
the company is known throughout the world and
thanks to which the Fabbrico brand has become a
leader in many agricultural machinery sectors over
time.
The manual gives instructions for modular customizing initiatives (from just the sign, to customizing walls and vehicles) with solutions tailor-made to
suit the dealers' requirements. It also proposes lots
of articles that can be customized with the dealer's
business name or specially created images.
Not only are the dealers' offices involved. Customizing also continues outdoors where, reproduced in both Italy and abroad, the Landini style can
be used to attract customers to Open Days, demos
or outdoor events.
Thanks to a consistent and coordinated use of
the brand image, Landini can turn the dealer and his
premises into a meeting venue for the end customer
and company, thereby strengthening the concept of
total quality for which this latter is known throughout the world and imparting a sense of great care

ince this is the year of Expo, the World
Fair in Milan and as the event is on a
planetary scale, Landini also decided to face the
most important issue of our time: “Feeding the
planet, energy for life”.
“Energy to the earth” is thus an appropriate
claim and appears on each page of the 2015 calendar,
which proposes a fantastic array of spectacular images
of cutting-edge tractor models from the new range as
they work in the fields, with brightly coloured closeups of the crops cultivated forming the background.
A strong image linked to the seasonal nature of
the crops and presenting the different Landini models
in specially chosen combinations showing how the
range is now increasingly more comprehensive and
technologically advanced.

Folco Team does it again
A
fter performing in the Italia’s got Talent
semifinals in 2013, when a Powermondial
tractor was driven on two wheels, we've continued
our collaboration with Folco Team which took part
in the «Stuntman Live Show» from 4 to 21 September 2014 at Palalottomatica in Rome.
This time, the protagonist was one of Landini's
new 4 Series tractors driven by the Folco Team professionals who have also acquired experience as
stuntmen.
The performance was part of a show that
included truly exciting feats, worthy of the most
hair-raising American action movies and in real film
sets. A well-deserved success which, besides the
stuntmen's prowess, also highlighted the formidible stability of the Landini tractor and its ease of
handling.

Argo Tractors and Unima:
new opportunities for farm contractors
A
go Tractors' attention to the needs of farm
contractors is growing. So much so, that
the Fabbrico plant has now signed a new agreement
with UNIMA, the National Union of Agricultural
Machinery Manufacturers, whereby specific integrated communication and marketing activities will be
developed by the two undertakings for the purpose of
creating new opportunities for farm contractors and
facilitating their access to the new technologies.
The agreement will benefit the Unima associates as
to improved familiarity with the products and services

offered by Landini. In addition it will provide dealers of
the individual brands with the chance to use a privileged channel for the technical and commercial promotion of tractors to farm contractors.
According to the agreement, Argo Tractors will
undertake to provide its products to the Unima associates at favourable terms through dedicated, tailormade promotions and discounts. Meanwhile, in
accordance with the association, Argo Tractors will
also define all the training and information initiatives
addressed to members.

his year, Enovitis was held on 5 and 6 June
in Sicily among the 400 crop rows in the two
immense vineyards of Baglio Biesina in Marsala (TP).
Dedicated to specialized implements and tractors,
the trade fair was the ideal place to present the new,
specialized Argo Tractors ranges “in action” along with
various different implements for working between crop
rows and with pest control treatments.
First and foremost, the new Landini Rex Series,
presented in a world preview at Sima in Paris, with its
radically restyled cab and bonnet.
It appeared alongside various other Landini models dedicated to vineyard and orchard work. These
included Landini's Trekker F crawler tractor, the ver-
satile 4 Series, the 5D Series, 6C Series and the 7
Series. A delicious surprise awaited visitors to the vineyards of the Sicilian enterprise.

T-Tronic transmission
Landini's new range features the new T-Tronic 36 +
12 transmission with 3 Powershift speeds. This module
triplicates on load the 12 speeds of the basic gearbox
(Speed Four 4 speeds and 3 ranges) raising the total
number of forward speeds to 36 plus 12 REV, with use of
the switch on the gearshift lever to select Hi-Medium-Lo.
The speeds can increase to as many as 48FWD+16REV
with the addition of the Creeper (optional). The DeClutch Control (operated with a button on the gearshift
lever) and Reverse Power Shuttle make gear engagement and reversing easy since the clutch pedal no longer
needs to be used.
The transmission also includes other important features: The fast range is equipped with Eco Forty (40 Eco),
allowing the tractors to be driven at 40 km/h at a 1900
rpm engine rate but with remarkably silent operation
and reductions in fuel consumption. With Top Fifty, the
speed can be as much as 50 km/h in countries where this
is allowed by law. The Reverse Power Shuttle is equipped
with a potentiometer to modulate its action and ensure
smooth engagement to suit the inertial loads.
APPLICATIONS
Landini's new 6C has been designed for multi-function use in extensive cultivations, in breeding farms
and for all farm work.
Tillage and round baling
Thanks to its particularly versatile design concept, the
6C Series is ideal for a vast variety of open-field jobs.
The Dual Power system uses electronics to automatically increase PTO torque and power in heavy-duty
conditions. This allows the tractor to deal effortlessly
with tillage and round baling work operations.
Livestock feeding
Easy to manoeuvre and compact in shape, the 6C
Series is ideal for use in breeding farms and for dis-

tributing feed for livestock in cowsheds where space
is at a premium.
Front loader
Excellent visibility is a feature of the cab. This makes
operations with the front loader very simple while the
transparent roof window provides extra visibility and
ventilation.
Transport
The tractor becomes ideal for road transport operations when equipped with the suspended cab and
front axle. Electronically controlled independent suspensions allow the tractor to be driven at high speed
over rugged ground while providing improved lugging power and manoeuvrability, all to the benefit of
comfort and safety.
Cab interior. Along with its modern
styling, the Landini 6C combines the level of
comfort of be found in a trendy car.
Power lift, hydraulic circuit,
front PTO and axle
The 6C Series features an electronically controlled
5400 kg capacity rear power lift, 4-speed PTO (available
as an optional) and a much improved hydraulic circuit
with 66 l/min flow rate in the standard version and 110
l/min in the closed center version (LS).
Up to 5 load sensing control valves are available,
with lever-operated controls on the console on the
driver's right. Two are controlled by the joystick and are
used to operate front loaders. The remaining valves are
controlled by a normal lever for versatile and productive
use of the implements.
The 6C Series can also be supplied with the optional
front PTO and power lift, which add to the versatility
of the range. The suspended cab and suspended front
axle are available on request and provide additional
comfort during road transport work.
Compact appearance and unique comfortNew styling, which reflects the Landini Family Feeling, underscores the extent to which the 6C Series range has
been renewed. The tractors are compact in appearance
and the new four-pillar cab combines modern design
with a unique level of comfort, featuring concepts hitherto only used by the car industry.
The new “Master Class” cab with flat platform and
doors hinged at the rear provides unrivalled all-round
visibility and can be easily accessed by the operator.
The driving position can be fully adjusted thanks to the
pneumatic seat and tilt/telescopic steering column that
can be positioned along with the instrument panel.
The main controls are ready to hand on the console
on the driver's right, allowing the tractor to be used
in absolute safety. Interior furnishings as used in the
automobile industry, styling, controls in ergonomic
positions, perfect soundproofing, the excellent automatic air conditioning system and optional mechanical suspensions enable the operator to work for hours
without tiring.
The openable roof window makes use of a front
loader easy, while night work is no problem thanks to
14 ultra-powerful halogen field lights.

AROUND
THE WORLD
Simple and reliable,
Landini's tractors
for non-European
markets are tailor-made
for the requirements
of farms in different
geographical areas.
T
he ability to provide proposals tailor-made
to suit the requirements of different types of
customers is one of the most important prerogatives
of companies that apply the Made in Italy concept.
Backed by flexible production practices, they are able to
offer solutions specifically designed for different markets. Thus Landini has always paid great attention to
the requirements of customers in other countries and
has designed and developed ranges outfitted in the
best possible way for local uses.
Speaking specifically of non-European countries,
Landini has focused on reliable, functional, simple
machines with performance-oriented engines that
comply with the local regulations. By and large, these
are multi-function tractors used for various purposes
and with implements that suit the size of the crop area.
Besides being used for cultivating crops like pineapples,
rice and sugar cane, these tractors are also employed
for soil preparation, planting and crop treatments in
South America, Africa and the Far East.
Landforce
Besides the well-known Globalfarm and Powerfarm Series, Landini has developed new, tailor-made
product ranges like Landforce, a sturdily built easy-touse tractor that only requires simple maintenance, while
excellent working autonomy allows it to deal with any

type of operation. Characteristics, these, which distinguish a tractor that's been specically developed for the
non-European markets.
A tough and reliable 4-cylinder NEF 4.5L Tier3 engine
and a simple, sturdy 12FWD+12REV basic mechanical
transmission ensure good performance and hours of untiring work. The reliable mechanical transmission, electrohydraulically engaged 4WD and diff lock make this tractor
easy to drive and handle with any type of implement. The
mechanical power lift features a 4500 kg lifting capacity with two supplementary rams. There are two models
available: Landforce 115 and Landforce 125 with 112
and 120 HP power ratings, respectively. The tractors are
available with either the cab or in the version with platform, suspended on silent blocks and with folding safety
frame. A transmission version with hydraulic reverse shuttle and HML is also being developed.
Landpower
When it comes to the 117 HP to 157 HP power
bracket, Landini offers the Landpower range featuring
the 4-pillar “Master Class” cab featuring large windows
and ergonomic controls.
Landpower is proposed in non-European countries
with either the synchronized gearbox or the electronically
controlled T-Tronic (54FWD+18REV) with De-Clutch and
Reverse Power Shuttle, making the tractor truly perfect for
all open-field jobs and fast road transport. The creeper is
available as option. The PTO with oil-cooled multiple-plate
clutch is engaged by means of an electrohydraulic pushbutton control. The maximum overall flow rate of the hydraulic
circuit is 125 l/min and the power lift, with two supplemen-
tary rams, can lift up to 8400 kg. 5 supplementary control
valves are available, for the utmost in versatility. Landpower
tractors are equipped with 6-cylinder NEF turbo engines
with air-air Intercooler featuring 117, 133, 141 and 157
HP ISO power ratings and excellent torque, while conforming to Tier3 regulations as to emissions.
7 Series
The new Landini 7 T3 Series has been tailor-made
for the most demanding customers in all countries.
These tractors are ideal for all cultivation and transport
work thanks to accurate design, comfort and performance able to raise productivity to the utmost levels.
The range comprises 3 models equipped with NEF Tier
3 engines featuring a 212 HP power rating in the topof-the-range model. The “Roboshift” transmission with
24 speeds and 6 ranges includes 4 Powershift speeds on
load with robotized range shifting and hydraulic reverse
shuttle on the steering wheel. The gearbox is electronically controlled by means of push-buttons on the multifunction joystick and possesses the “Autoshift” function
in all ranges, especially useful during transport work on
the roads. The transmission is complete with creeper,
thus 40FWD+40REV overall speeds. The electrohydraulically engaged rear PTO offers four standard speeds with
electronically controlled engagement for gradual starts,
all to the advantage of comfort while safeguarding the
tractor and implements.
Whether it's the rigid version or with electronically
controlled independent suspensions, the front axle provides a 55° steering angle and makes these tractors particularly agile.

LANDINI BRASIL: PRODUCTION GETS GOING
Work in the Landini Brasil production facility has now begun.
Construction of the plant, which commenced last year, terminated with the official inauguration ceremony on 18 June 2015.
The plant is situated in Contagem, Minas Gerais, in an
advantageous position thanks to the vicinity of Belo Horizonte and the main airports, but also owing to the presence
in the area of numerous manufacturers of components and
qualified personnel.
The assembly department for the Landpower and Landforce tractor lines is due to start work in July and will initially produce 1,000 tractors a year.
A further expansion has been planned to step up the yearly
production capacity to 5,000 machines.

SALES NETWORK
Tiefenthaler: five days
of solidarity with Landini
A
solidarity event in several laps in favour of the
earthquake-stricken populations of Emilia
was organized by Tiefenthaler of Giovo (TN) from 22
to 26 October 2014 in collaboration with the the local
association of Alpini corps. and the Section of Trento.
So it was that Landini's dealer for the province of Trento
transformed the usual Open Doors event into an
opportunity for tangibly helping the people who had
sustained such devastating consequences in the earthquale of 2012.
Having departed on 22 October from the company's headquarters, the “Solidarity Tour” crossed the
Val di Non, the Alpine Valley of the Adige, Valle dei
Laghi, Valle del Sarca, Vallagarina, Valsugana, Valle di
Fiemme and then returned to the starting point.
A procession of 5 Landini tractors, including the
ultra-new 4 Series sporting a “flame paint” effect
specially applied for the occasion, stopped off in
some of the towns in Trentino and passed through
main other localities on a tour that covered some
400 km. The reconstruction project was illustrated
at each lap and the donations collected were consigned to the Alpini corps for the purpose of building
the “Casa dello Sport Tina Zuccoli” in Rovereto sul
Secchia (MO).
Besides providing visibility to the initiative of the
Alpini corps., dealer Tiefenthaler also contributed by
donating a sum for every kilometer covered, as Landini
had done during the Landini 130 Endurance event.
The presence of celebrities from the world of sport
provided added interest to each lap and included
Francesca Iachemet, Francesco Moser, Maurizio
Fondriest, Gilberto Simoni and Michele Tomasi.
To mark the end of the tour, dealer Tiefenthaler
organized a ceremony during which the thousandth
Landini tractor was consigned, after which the celebrations proceeded throughout the day to the musical
accompaniment of the “Zinto Boys” band.

Serangeli: a Landpower
165 DT for Giovannini
A
story that combines passion and tradition.
We're talking about Corrado Giovannini, a
farsighted entrepreneur from Umbria, now over ninety
years of age, bound to Landini by a historic machine: a
25 HP hot-bulb tractor. Owner also of a large farm and
the Terra Umbra Hotel in Narni, in the province of
Terni, Giovannini has always worked vast areas of land
in Umbria, most of which used for growing grain crops,
with a very watchful eye on the development of both
products and the market.
It's actually thanks to his attention to the future
that in 2014, after lengthy transactions with dealer and
musician Alvaro Serangeli, Giovannini decided to opt
for the Landini brand and its modern technologies. So
much so, that a Landpower 165 DT was delivered to
him on 3 November 2014 by dealer Serangeli 2000.
The operator's comment after hours of work in the
new Landini tractor was memorable.
When Mr. Giovannini asked what he thought
of the new tractor, the operator replied by saying
“Brilliant!”.

their son Roberto and daughter Chiara. All this happened during Enovitis in Campo 2014, a trade show

At the end of 2014, several farm contractors
from the provinces of Parma and Reggio Emilia, again

Landini: growing from
strength to strength
in South Africa
T
he South African market is becoming increasingly important for Landini. Not merely in
terms of volumes, but especially because local farming
is continually developing and needs solutions.
On-the-spot in South Africa with Argo Industrial
Pty Ltd, the branch in Boksburg, not far from Johannesburg, Landini keeps careful track of the changes
that the local agricultural practices are undergoing,
especially grain crop cultivation, where technology and
power are growing requirements. If the upgrades to
the medium power Landforce and Landpower ranges
have been very positively received by this market, the
attention of farmers in South Africa has now turned
to an increasing extent to the 7 Series, a high-power,
highly technological range able to face the needs of
local enterprises where farms often top 1000-2000
hectares. For Landini, it is important to interpret this
market and develop synergies to help it grow, thereby
providing a significant contribution towards improving
farm work in this country.

A
meeting involving over 50 Landini dealers
from all over Spain took place in October 2014
within the beautiful surroundings of Hotel-Bodega
Torremilanos of Aranda de Duero (Burgos) .
Besides personnel from AgriArgoIberica, Simeone Morra, Corporate Business Director of Argo Tractors, also took part in the meeting. The venue, right
in the heart of Castilla y Léon, was not chosen by
chance. As a result of an intensive and extensive range
renewal work, Landini has lots to offer this region, traditionally dedicated to grain crop cultivation.
The true protagonist of the meeting was the new
Landini 6C tractor, even though the dealers also got
the chance to assess the performance of the new 4
Series and 6L Series.
Dealer meetings are often held in Spain. Last April,
three meetings were organized when the 5H Series
and 4 “Small” were presented: one in the North-West,
in Parador Nacional de Tordesillas (Valladolid), one
in the Southern area of Cordoba and a third in the
North-West, in Castell del Remei (Lérida). More than
100 participants, including dealers and retailers, took
part in the meeting in the presence of Simeone Morra,
personnel from the various AgriArgoIberica departments and representatives of ARGO Finance.
Protagonist of the initiative was the 5H Series, featuring the new cab with a completely flat platform plus
improvements as to transmission versatility and hydraulic performance.

A Landini 6-160 solves
problems for Knightstone
T
he monitoring technologies with which Landini's new-generation tractors are equipped
are providing real benefits for farmers. This can be testified by Dave Lawrance, owner of “Knightstone”, a
breeding farm in Ottery St Mary, Devonshire, England,
together with his wife Vicki and parents. Last August,
Dave decided to purchase a 6-160 tractor, one of the
numerous “new-generation” Landini models.
“We already had a Landpower, which has been a
real hard-worker over the years”, affirmed Dave. “That
was why we decided to purchase a Landini 6-160 from
Chris Keitch of CJ Keitch Engineering, Dunkeswell.
This new 6-160,” continued Dave, “has a newly
designed cab, advanced hydraulic monitoring devices,
transmission and engine. The monitoring systems use
pushbuttons and switches on a console alongside a seat
with pneumatic suspensions. The Autopowershift system
is very convenient to use, especially when you're driving
on the roads. It makes driving more comfortable, also
thanks to the cab and suspended axle,” added Lawrance.
There's no end to the work performed by the tractor in the Lawrance farm, where it's used for conveying
ensiled products and spreading manure, as well as for
ploughing and harrowing. “It can do every possible job
in the fields while being extremely easy to manoeuvre
when you're working in the farm,” explained Dave. “And
the new monitoring technologies are excellent,” he concluded. “You find out how they work in no time and the
benefits are truly numberless”.

he Landini brand is going from strength to
strength in Brazil. The number of dealers, currently 35, is expected to double within a very short time.
Last October, Landini Brasil organized a two-day
dealer meeting in the city of Caxias do Sul with the support of 14 dealers from the state of Rio Grande do Sul,
thus a total of 45 technical personnel and enterprise owners. Landini's strategies and sales, industrial and distribution policies were presented during the meeting. The discussions included distribution at territorial level for resellers
in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
Technical personnel from Landini Brasil illustrated the
products at depth, allowing the participants to become
more familiar with the characteristics of our tractors.

range, namely models 120 and 130, and Landpower
range (models 150 and 190 in the footstep and cab versions) were presented to the Brazilian public in the 2015
edition of the fair.
Assembled in the Brazilian production facility of
Contagem (MG), both ranges were designed to suit
the requirements of the Latin American countries and
benefit from the purchase incentives introduced by
the Brazilian Government. Besides these ranges, Landini also presented the Mistral Cab Series, featuring a
front power lift and PTO; a range designed to meet the
needs of specialized crop growing in the country.
Lastly, Landini took part in Femagri 2015 (one of
the most important agrobusiness fairs in Brazil and promoted by Cooxupè, the world's largest coffee cooperative) and Femec 2015 in Uberlandia, both with support from the Landini dealers in the area.

In addition, in 2015 the Landini importer took part
as usual in Expoactiva in Soriano, the most progressive and important agricultural trade fair in Uruguay
organized by the Rural Association of Soriano.
During the event, which lasted four days from 18
to 21 March, thousands of business-men and buyers
from the agricultural production sector took part in the
fair, attracted by the new technologies and innovations
on show. Landini's Landforce 125 was among these,
and was presented in a very unusual way. Woslen had
created a photo booth in the stand where visitors could
take snaps of themselves near the tractor, choosing
from among different frames for the purpose of sharing them on the Facebook fanpage. The initiative was
a great success with plenty of interaction between the
customers and the Landini brand, while publicizing the
event to a large extent.

mainly concentrated on the Landforce model, but
also Landpower and 5H in the versions with electrohydraulic reverse shuttle, very much in demand at

TRACTOR PULLING
Tractor Pulling,
Argo Team is the
2014 champion
F
or the New Landini, it's the fourth consecutive victory, while Argo Team can
now boast as many as eleven victories. Tractor
Pulling continues to be a discipline where the
Landini brand can provide proof of all its sturdiness
and reliability, considering the harsh conditions to
which the tractors are subjected as they pull the
sled. Engine rates over double the maximum rates
normally used, turbo pressure exceeding 5-6 bar,
power ratings pushed to the maximum, all for the
purpose of towing the characteristic power transfer sled over 100 meters of beaten track. The New
Landini never gives up even when faced with the
most extreme conditions and at the end of the last
championship, having unleashed every ounce of its
horsepower, it came first yet again with its team
even more strongly tenacious and determined.
“Ours is a close-knit team that concentrates
wholeheartedly on improving the performance
of the machine. The tractor is reliable and driver
Elvio Moretti possesses impeccable experience.
These are the characteristics that allowed Landini
to achieve this important victory” affirmed Team
Manager Franco Paterlini.
A victory that's repeated in everyday life,
because it's in the daily production at Argo Tractors that reliability and team spirit count the most.
When it's not dealing with Tractor Pulling, Argo

the users' needs. The recent improvements for
Landini's Tractor Pulling machines concern the
turbocharger, subjected to increasingly stringent
safety rules that did nothing to prevent the powerful vehicle from providing its best performance
in the five laps of the 2014 Italian championship.
Landini actually came first in all five laps. But that's
not all. It also arrived seventh in the Russi lap (Ra),
good for the European championship, where 23
international competitors matched up to each
other, including the renowned English and Danish drivers. Despite bad weather, the New Landini was also able to show its worth during the
