This is a relaxed type of stay-put holiday where you can choose
to relax in your hotel room, and/or enjoy a day on your own. Our
Winter Longstay destinations fall into this category, although many
participants take part in more demanding optional activities.
Moderately Easy
1 2 3 4 5
Travellers could be required to walk a distance of up to 500
metres (1,600 feet) on fairly level terrain. Walking one flight of
stairs with railings may be necessary. There is time during the day
for you to rest on your own. Ocean cruising would fall into this
category, although participants may take part in more demanding
excursions if they choose.
Moderate
1 2 3 4 5
Travellers will occasionally have to walk on uneven surfaces or
get on and off boats or trains. Tours on the itinerary may include
periods of up to an hour of walking at a gentle pace. There may
also be a few one-night stays, but often the majority of your trip
is spent in just a handful of hotels. Most of our North American
sightseeing tours fall into this category.
Moderately Challenging
1 2 3 4 5
Travellers could be required to walk on uneven surfaces
regularly, and the day could be busy with activities from morning
until evening. Any daytime rest is taken while travelling on the
motorcoach from one attraction to another. There may also be a
number of one-night stays that necessitate the need to pack up
each morning. Many of our overseas tours fall into this category.
Challenging
1 2 3 4 5
These destinations offer very limited accessibility and guests
can expect to experience uneven surfaces (i.e. cobblestones) or
hilly ground on a regular basis. This level applies to many of our
overseas tours as many historical landmarks tend to demand
greater effort to reach. This also applies to our Newfoundland
tours as accessibility options are scarce in some remote areas.

Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres
2017 marks the 100th anniversary of one of our country’s most significant
military battles – the Battle of Vimy Ridge. DeNureTours invites you to join
us on a poignant journey of remembrance as we travel to pay tribute at the
Canadian National Vimy Memorial and other notable war museums and
battlefields.
You begin your sightseeing tour in London, visiting the cosmopolitan
capital’s most famous landmarks with the help of a local guide. Entertaining
narrative helps you learn more about Big Ben, Leicester Square, the Tower
of London and Westminster Abbey. Visit historic St. Paul’s Cathedral, which,
in one form or another, has overlooked London since 604AD.
While in London, you will also take part in a World War I walking tour to
learn more about the Great War and its impact on the people of London.
Then travel into France, with your visit to Musee Somme 1916. It’s
fascinating location – inside a 13th century underground tunnel – sets the
stage for an impressive World War I experience. Also in France you will visit
the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, a preserved battlefield and
the largest battalion memorial of the Western Front.
A visit to the Canadian National Vimy Memorial is a highlight of this tour and
a moving experience. Dedicated to the soldiers who died during that fateful
battle, it also commemorates all of the Canadian World War I soldiers who
fell in France, but do not have a known grave. Their names are engraved in
the ramparts in tribute to their sacrifice. A journey to Vimy Ridge is a must
for all Canadians.
Menin Gate Memorial
to the Missing
54,896 Commonwealth soldiers who died during
World War I have no known grave. The massive
Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a tribute
to these men. Located at the point at which
soldiers would have marched to the front lines,
the Memorial is a symbol of Ypres gratitude. Each
evening at 8 o’clock, buglers from the local fire
department close the road and sound the Last
Post, a tradition that dates back to 1928.

Marjorie Mason invites
you to celebrate the
“Year of The English
Garden” on this tour
featuring the Hampton
Court Flower Show!
In the 1700s, English gardens were stiff and
formal arrangements of roses and traditional
blooms, but thanks to the creative imagination
of Lancelot “Capability” Brown, today’s English
gardens are vibrant, expansive, and playful. On
this new sightseeing vacation by DeNureTours, join
expert gardener Marjorie Mason in paying tribute
to Capability Brown and celebrate the Year of The
English Garden.
After an overnight flight to Gatwick, stretch your
legs on a tour through the picturesque Cotswolds.
Your quintessential English garden experience
kicks off with a visit to one of Britain’s most
celebrated gardens, Hidcote Manor Garden.
Sissinghurst Castle Gardens is another remarkable
British garden, created among the ruins of a Tudor
manor making this garden truly unique.
Eccentric English gardens will have you rethinking
your own gardens at home, and many of those
unique gardens are included in your itinerary.
The Beth Chatto Gardens are a lesson in
perseverance, having been planted on wastelands
that receive little rainfall. More than just gardens
are featured on your tour, with visits to notable
nurseries including Fibrex Nurseries and Peter
Beales Rose Nursery.
The pinnacle of your gardening experience is a
day spent at the famous Hampton Court Flower
Show. You’re sure to return home with the seeds of
gardening dreams planted in your mind.

Standing Stones of
Calanais
Mystery surrounds the ancient megaliths found in the Outer Hebrides.
At more than 5,000 years old, the Standing Stones of Calanais forms
one of the most complete stone circles in Britain. Antiquarian William
Stukely once explained it as a Druidical Circle. It is widely believed that the
stones functioned as an astronomical calendar, but archeologists are now
beginning to rethink that theory based on new evidence. No matter the
true story behind these legendary cairns and stones, be prepared the be
amazed... and perhaps develop your own theories.

images that have inspired travellers to Scotland for
generations. This new 14-day sightseeing vacation

and woodlands throughout the country.
Fly to Glasgow, the perfect place to start your
Outlander vacation since it has a proud and rich
history. Scotland’s castles play a significant role in
Outlander, and we’ll cross the countryside to visit
several iconic landmarks. In Outlander, Blackness

prison. Urquhart Castle was once one of Scotland’s
largest castles and boasts unparalleled views of
Loch Ness. Several scenes were filmed here with
the grounds and the castle as a backdrop.
Edinburgh Castle
Visit the Royal Burgh of Culross, Scotland’s most
complete example of 17th and 18th century
Burghs and a frequent set location for Outlander.
Explore the refurbished Palace which dates from
1567. Immerse yourself in Scottish culture for
a true Outlander experience by attending the
Braemar Highland Gathering to watch traditional
highland games.
Peaceful countryside drives and canal cruises offer

National Museum of
Scotland
The National Museum of Scotland boasts one of the most remarkable
collections of artifacts in the world. Prehistoric fossils from around
the globe are part of the 250,000 specimen collection housed in the
paleobiology department. Scotland’s Palaeozoic rocks tell a tale of early
evolution on Earth and are key part of the collection. With more than
77,000 objects, including jets, rockets and gramophones, the Science and
Technology collection is one of the most important in Britain. Naturally, the
Scottish Archeology collection is as impressive as it is diverse, with more
than two million items from Neolithic times to jewels worn by Mary, Queen
of Scots. Included in the collection are her exquisite Penicuik Jewels.

your guide on this
sightseeing tour of
Ireland’s illustrious
gardens.

Walled Garden at Kylemore Abbey
Ireland is blooming with history, and in some
cases, mystery. With Marjorie Mason as your
guide, explore the country’s famous sights, lush
countryside, and notable gardens on this new and
exclusive sightseeing holiday by DeNureTours.
Your vacation begins with an overnight flight to
Dublin, where you’ll travel to Northern Ireland’s
capital city, Belfast. A guided tour orients you with
Belfast’s iconic landmarks, and a must-see on
your first day in Belfast is the Titanic Museum, the
largest of its kind in the world.
Then, retreat to Ireland’s romantic and peaceful
countryside to begin your discovery of some of the
world’s loveliest gardens. Expert gardener Marjorie
Mason is the perfect guide, filling your visits with
fascinating facts and tips for green thumbs.
The tremendous variety of styles of gardens on this
tour are what make it truly unique. Visit traditional
gardens, like the award winning 6-acre Victorian
Walled Garden at Kylemore Abbey. The gardens
at Mount Stewart are delightfully surprising, with
many plantings based on notebook sketches of
Lady Londonderry from the 1920s.
Giants Causeway
Some gardens and landscapes are less traditional
in their plantings, but are no less intricate or
exhilarating. For example, Brigit’s Garden is laid out
in a relaxed woodland style to reflect the ancient
Celtic calendar. And in The Burren, an Irish word
meaning “rocky place,” you will find Arctic and
Mediterranean plants growing side by side in the
rocky terrain.
Return home after your 14-day vacation inspired,
and ready to fulfil your gardening ambitions.

Hunting Brook Gardens
Nestled in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains is one of Ireland’s most
compelling modern gardens. The bold creation of renowned horticulturist
and plantsman Jimi Blake, the panoramic views, ancient woodland glen
and wildly exciting and unexpected plantings make Hunting Brook Gardens
a must-see for gardeners who are looking for inspiration in their own
garden plans.
The generous herbaceous borders below the house create a scene
reminiscent of an Impressionist painting with a huge range of grasses and
perennials in shades of orange, purple and brown set off by a variety of
foliage. Spend time in the tranquil Valley Garden, the fern lined banks and
babbling rocky mountain stream is the perfect place to relax and reflect.

are part of your DeNureTours vacation. The 13th
century Whitby Abbey was the inspiration for
Dracula, and Muncaster Castle, rumoured to be
haunted, stands on Roman remains. Scarborough
Castle boasts incredible panoramic views and its
labyrinth of tunnels, formidable stone walls and
artifacts each tell their own fascinating story.
Culinary pleasures abound with local flavours
playing a starring role. Enjoy rustic dishes at Jamie
Oliver’s Italian restaurant in York, and learn about
the art of cheese-making at Wensleydale Dairy. Of
course, a visit to Britain isn’t complete without a
taste of fine whisky, which you will sample at the
newly opened Annandale Distillery.

Muncaster Castle has been the home of the prestigious Pennington family
for thousands of years with recorded evidence suggesting that the family
has been in the Western Lake District since 1026. It is believed the castle
is also sitting on Roman remains, further adding to the legends and myths
swirling around this storied structure. First built in 1258, the Castle has
been extended and refurbished throughout time, including adding on the
impressive pele and Chapels towers.

Among the most fascinating artifacts uncovered by historians during
restorations is a bowl known as the Luck of Muncaster. Legend says that
Holy King Harry believed that the Penningtons would thrive at the Castle if
his bowl “should remain quite whole and unbroken.” To this day, the bowl
is intact.
The Hawk & Owl Centre at Muncaster Castle is a must-see. At the World

But Salzburg’s Old Town called “Alstadt” is one of the best preserved
city centres north of the Alps, and it was designated as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 1997. A walk through Salzburg’s narrow streets is a walk
through history. You’ll find buildings from the Middle Ages, Baroque and
Renaissance periods, and classical 19th century burghers’ houses.
For music lovers, Salzburg offers a glimpse into the early life of Mozart. The
house on Getreidegasse 9 was the family home and where Mozart was born.
It is now a museum that hosts Mozart’s childhood violin, his concert violin,
his Clavichord, as well as letters and other memorabilia of the Mozart family.

ROME
Rome, Italy’s capital, is a sprawling, cosmopolitan city with nearly 3,000 years
of globally renowned art, architecture and culture on display.
There’s a saying in Rome – “History Starts Here” – and after two days there,
you’ll agree. Ancient ruins such as the Roman Forum and the Colosseum
evoke images that convey the power of the former Roman Empire. Marvel at
the ingenuity of the Pantheon, one of the most impressive buildings of the
Imperial Rome. A remarkable architectural feat, it remains the world’s largest
non-reinforced dome.
Nearby in the Vatican City, stand in the footsteps of history as you stand in St.
Peter’s Square. Here you can see the headquarters of the Roman Catholic
Church, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums which house incredible
masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes.

Denuros
Travel Rewards
Our Way of Saying
Thanks!
When you travel with DeNureTours you automatically earn and
accumulate denuros as soon as you depart on your first trip.
All of the advantages of the denuros rewards program apply
regardless of whether you make your vacation plans through a
travel agent or with DeNureTours directly.
How it works
You earn denuros every time you travel with us. The number of
denuros you earn depends on the value of the trip you take. For
example, on a $2,000 trip, you would earn 100 denuros. Denuros
are offered on the tour price.
There is no expiry date for your denuros, they just continue to
accumulate with each trip you take. A denuro is worth $1. If you
accumulate 500 denuros, you have $500 in your account.
How do I know how many denuros I have?
Our records reflect your past travel history and we track your
denuro balance. You can check your balance by calling our office
or you can e-mail us at: [email protected].
Redeem your denuros for a 5% discount!
You can redeem denuros to reduce the price of your trip by 5%
up to a maximum of $100 per person – there is no need to watch
for special dates, you can simply redeem them whenever you
make your reservation.
Free trips!
Once you have accumulated enough to cover the entire cost of
a trip, you can use denuros as payment. There are a limited
number of seats held for this purpose, so we recommend you
book early.
Extra seat for more comfort
On our Winter Longstay vacations in Florida and Myrtle Beach,
you can redeem 250 denuros each way (500 denuros round
trip) to reserve an extra seat and enjoy a little more room as
you travel. There are a limited number of seats held for this
purpose, so be sure to book early if you are looking for an
extra seat.
Refer a friend
You can earn 50 denuros if you refer a friend to us, and they
take a DeNureTours vacation.
22
Special
denuro
promotions!
Throughout the year, you may
receive special denuro offers from
DeNureTours. These can include
awarding bonus denuros for booking
certain tours, or the opportunity to
redeem more than 5% of the
value of specified tours if you
book within a certain
time frame.

The coach makes plenty of stops for you to stretch your legs, grab a bite to eat
and use the washroom. Our guests tell us that they appreciate the cleanliness
of our coaches, and in the past we have refrained from allowing any eating on
the coach. However, we now invite guests to eat packaged snacks providing
they are not dairy products or chocolate coated. Since the coach stops
regularly for meal stops, we ask that guests do not bring meal items on the
bus such as burgers, fries, pizza, subs or food that has a strong smell, and
that any drinks be in containers with screw-on lids. All coaches are washroom
equipped and regular comfort stops are made.
On all touring vacations, seating is subject to availability and is assigned on
a first-come, first-served basis. Single travellers are seated with other single
travellers. On Sunshine Express vacations, seats are assigned for both the
southbound and northbound portions of your trip, and although we try to avoid
changes, seat numbers could change before departure.
On touring vacations, DeNureTours employs a daily seat rotation system
that is designed to offer each guest different viewing positions from the
motorcoach. We do not set aside a special seat for those who do not wish to
take part in the rotation.

Flight Arrangements
On touring vacations that begin and/or end with a flight, transfers to your
first hotel from the airport, and from your last hotel to the airport are
complimentary for guests who purchase their airfare through DeNureTours.
If guests make their own flight arrangements, DeNureTours can assist with
transfer details, but there may be an additional cost. The Connections
Program is not included unless flights are booked through DeNureTours.
When booking a vacation that includes flights, your reservation will require
your full legal name as it is shown on government-issued identification. For
flights outside of Canada, we require your passport number, date it was
issued, where it was issued, and its expiry date. Once a flight is booked it is
non-refundable and any changes to name or details may not be possible or
may be charged penalties by the airline.
Many airlines now charge for pre-assigning seats. Where pre-assigned seats
are not offered, guests must contact the airline directly to arrange seating
assignment, and it may be subject to an additional fee. Seating is solely
under the airline’s control, as are itinerary changes due to flight delays and
scheduled changes. Flight delays, flight cancellations and schedule changes
are the responsibility of the airline. DeNureTours will not be responsible or
liable for such delays or rescheduling, or any additional charges that may be
involved. Special meal requests, where available on airlines, can be requested
at time of booking. DeNureTours cannot guarantee the request will be granted.
Luggage
On all vacations, one carry-on bag is permitted, with dimensions not exceeding
16”x 12”x 8”(40 x 30 x 20cm). On sightseeing vacations, a single piece of
luggage is allowed with dimensions not exceeding 30”x 18”x 10” (76 x 46 x
25cm) and weight not exceeding 50lbs (23kg). On Winter Longstay vacations,
two pieces of luggage are permitted. The tour price includes luggage handling
at all hotels upon arrival and at departure.
If your vacation involves a flight, you will be subject to the luggage size and
weight restrictions imposed by the air carrier. With your travel documents,
DeNureTours will advise you of the luggage restrictions and cost per checked
bag. Airline baggage fees may apply and are not included in the tour price.
Although DeNureTours staff is careful with your luggage, please ensure that
your luggage is in a condition sufficient to withstand the normal loading,
unloading and delivery process. DeNureTours does not accept liability for
damage to luggage such as: broken wheels or feet, lost pull straps, damage to
retractable luggage handles, or damage resulting from over-packing luggage.
Accommodation
The hotel names and cruise ships we have listed are published in good faith.
Occasionally, accommodation substitutions will be required and in such a
case, DeNureTours will provide a substitute of a similar or better standard
than those named. On North American touring vacations, where we may use a
number of different hotels in transit to our destination, hotels may be listed as
“TBA.” Please advise DeNureTours or your travel agent of any special requests
regarding accommodation at time of booking.
