-Michael
At Michael’s Hair Design and Day Spa we can all agree that not
only are we a team, but a family. Saying so I would like to extend
my invitation to our “extended family”, our clients!
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
This means every month we will be printing a newsletter for all our
guests to read while they enjoy services in the Spa or Salon.
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
For the first time in most of your lives, someone is asking you to be
VAIN! I don’t mean a little vain, I mean A LOT vain!
We want to hear about your SUCCESS, ACHIEVEMENTS, AWARDS
or anything else you want the Michael’s family to know.
The rules are: There are NONE!
We want to know about Weddings, Babies, Awards, School Plays, Gold Medals, Business
Achievements and anything else that makes you proud! We also need jokes and riddles, funnies and
not-so-funnies!

Ask the
PROS!
Q: I’ve noticed that my dark hair color isn’t making me look as good as it use to when I was younger.
What can I do?
A: As you age, naturally you will develop dark pigmentation, and fine lines and wrinkles. Because this
process is slow, you begin to realize that when you visit your stylist the colour isn’t what it used to be.
This is because the colour of your hair magnifies the darkness that has developed in your skin over time.
Solution: If you would like to stay with a darker base colour, you can try highlights to soften the effects
or begin to gradually go lighter.

Q: Why is Salon colour better for my hair?
A: At Home colour is designed for every hair type from thick black hair to fine blond hair making it very
hard to achieve a specific colour while maintaining the integrity of the hair. Not only is it great to come
visit MHD but also during your appointment you can rest assured that your stylist will customize your
colour to your hair type and needs.
For Example: If you have a lot of grey hair, your stylist will know exactly what developer to colour ratio

COLORS OF THE RAINBOW
Looking to freshen your color and make it a little more sophisticated for fall? Take tips
from our experts.
Ravishing Reds
Time to bring your red into fall with deeper, richer choices. Instead of bright copper and
lighter reds, try a deeper violet red or a more natural auburn tone.
Bubbly Blonds
Just because the weather is getting colder doesn’t mean you have to go dark! Try
changing your blond by adding warm caramel lowl
lowlights
ights and toning your blond to a soft
beige tone. This will warm up your look while keeping you light and bright.
Bouncy Browns
If your feeling that the summer sun has left your warm chocolate brown tresses looking
an unflattering brassy hue. Try
