Summer is almost here!
Easter Weekend was a success! Even tho the weather was a bit
on the icky side, we still had the BEST time! Thank you to
everyone that participated!
Our itinerary for Mother’s Day & Memorial Day Weekend:
● May 11th coffee and doughnuts for the mothers at store from
8am -11am
● May 23rd and 24th yard sale at the front entrance
● May 24th Fun Times with Robert White in the field, bad weather
in the lounge (DJ Music)
● Friday, Saturday and Sunday selling tickets for drawings beside
store, Am-Vets Tickets $1 each or 6 tickets for $5
● Drawing Sunday at 5pm (May 23,24, and 25th)
● Golf cart parade Sunday May 24 at 5:30pm

Important Info:
Need to be sure to get lots clean of leaves and trash
No “For Sale” signs inside or outside of campers or moble homes
No real estate signs...you can Post at Store or on computer ...Craigslist etc..
Golf carts have to be insured and driven by license drivers only, parents or legal guardians
are responsible

Ingredients:
Original recipe makes 4 servings
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
2 large onions, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
2 large green bell pepper, cut into 1/4 inch strips
2 cups sliced button mushrooms

Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat.
Stir together the vegetable oil, cider vinegar, garlic
powder, black pepper, salt, basil, and thyme in a bowl;
set aside.
Lay out 4 12x12 inch squares of aluminum foil. Place 1
chicken breast in the center of each square, top with
potatoes, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Ladle
1/4 of the sauce on each and fold the foil around the
ingredients to form four sealed packets.
Grill the packets on the preheated grill for 30 to 40
minutes, until the internal temperature of the chicken
breasts reaches 170 degrees F (75 degrees C).

Happy camper color run 2014
Americamps 1st Annual “Happy Camper Color Run” 2014
5K Run/Walk
Location: Americamps Campground, Bracey, VA
Date: Saturday July 5th @ 8:00 am
Come get your color fun on and help support Hospice of Mecklenburg County, with this unique 5k color run/walk.
The event is non-timed, so it doesn’t matter if you are fast or slow just come have fun and experience one of-akind color stations, to show your bright side for Hospice, followed by a jamming after party.
What to wear: We encourage participants to wear white t shirts so your colors will stand out and
sunglasses/goggles to protect your eyes from getting powder in them.
Charity: All proceeds go to Mecklenburg County, VA Hospice
Run or Walk event: All fitness levels are welcome to participate. Open to children, Men & Woman (All must pay
registration fee)
