Quality LP Gas Products from a Company You Can Trust
Bob’s Corner
By Bob Bailey
Executive VP of Operations, COO
Teeco Products, Inc.
Hard to believe but a quarter of a year is already behind us, and spring is upon us. Some
of us survived an extreme cold winter, with
product shortages and high propane prices;
while others, like out West in California, had
one of the mildest winters on record with very
little precipitation. Go figure. There really must
be something to this Global Warming.
We have all heard the old saying “You only get
out as much as in put in.” Well, we in this industry must really deserve a lot. It has always
amazed me when faced with adversity, how
this industry through the work of the many
associations on the regional and national levels, gathers together to face these challenges.
It is something everyone should be proud of.
Being a distributor of propane equipment,
it is very important for us to do our part.
We are members and are very active in all
the regional associations within our service
area and are also a member of the National
Propane Gas Association. We sit on various
committees within the Western Propane Gas
Association and are currently the chair for
the WPERC scholarship fund silent auction
at the Reno convention in May (If you are an
exhibitor at the upcoming Reno show and
have not yet contributed contact me). What a
great way to invest in the future of our industry, by offering scholarships to our children.
We have also supported the Propane PAC on
both a regional and national level.
We have a busy convention season. We will be
sponsoring and exhibiting at the WPGA convention in Reno on May
15th -17th , the Pacific
Propane
Association
convention in Welches, Oregon on June 26th27th , the Colorado/New Mexico convention
in Colorado Springs on July 23rd-25th, and
the South Dakota convention in Deadwood on
September 23rd-24th. We really are looking
forward to seeing everyone.
We have again donated our Sacramento facility to the WPGA for their annual CETP training.
You can contact the WPGA for the scheduled
dates. We are in the process of scheduling
regional training on Smith Pumps, Corken
Pumps, and Neptune Meters and will be announcing the locations shortly. If anyone has
any training requirements please contact your
Teeco Regional Sales Managers and they will
make accommodations to meet your training
needs.
Lastly, we will again be having our 2nd annual Teeco Open House at our Sacramento
facility on October 16th. Following the open
house we will be hosting our 2nd annual Golf
Tournament on October 17th. So mark your
calendars.
As you can see, we have a pretty full schedule for 2014. I would like to thank everyone
for your support, and hope everyone understands that we truly believe “You only get out
as much as you put in”.
Thanks,
Bob Bailey

Hi, my name is Leslie Miller and I joined Teeco Products on November 18, 2013. My job responsibilities
include receptionist, order inquiries and confirmations, payroll, clerk, and most importantly customer
service.
Outside of working at Teeco, reading and travelling
are amongst my favorite things to do. I love the outdoors, walking and hiking, and as you can see in my
picture, my Golden Retrievers are my pride and joy!
I also enjoy volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.
For all the customers who I’ve been in contact with thus far, I thank you for your kindness, patience, and your help educating the new girl! Being new to the company I have much to learn
regarding the product parts, however I strive to provide prompt and accurate information. I
look forward to doing business with you in the coming years. Thank you also to the Teeco
family, as you have all been warm and welcoming. I am proud to be a part of the Teeco team!

Algas-SDI and Eclipse are Proud Providers of the Olympic Flame!
If you watched any of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, you most
likely noted the architecturally striking Olympic Cauldron with its giant flame.
Placed near the edge of the Black Sea in the Olympic Park, it sat as the frame and
icon for the 247 ft. diameter, 700,000 gallon Olympic fountain. While it’s been
said that the spirit behind the Olympic tradition plays its part in keeping the flame
alive, at Algas-SDI and Eclipse we know first-hand that industrial technologies and
propane play a part as well!
Since natural gas was not available, the flame of the Olympic Cauldron was fired
by a state-of-the-art propane-air system supplied by Algas-SDI and Eclipse. The
Algas-SDI QM100 precisely delivered the propane-air mixture that was required
to fuel the massive flame and was heated by an Eclipse ThermAir 200 multi-fuel
burner.
The stunning Olympic Torch in Sochi, Russia
The system was installed by our Russian partner Gazovik and was commissioned
in January by Algas-SDI’s Field Service Technician, Wayne Hicks.
The Olympic Flame, which was lit during the opening ceremonies, brightened the
Sochi sky each night of the games. NBC News anchor Brian Williams called the
flame “the most powerful we have ever seen at any games. It sounds more like a
Soyuz rocket blasting off. And speaking of space, the flame is indeed visible from
space…from 220 miles above the Earth.”

Gas Check Seminar
July 9
The GAS Check program was developed as an industry-wide effort to help reduce, and hopefully eliminate, residential accidents
involving propane. Based on expert studies on safety problems in
residential propane use, this class will cover how to test the entire
gas system, the need to replace equipment, improvements to the
safety of the system, and educating customers.

Celebrating 75 Years of Industry News
For 75 years, Butane-Propane News has been the premier source of information for the propane industry.
Formerly a section of the now-defunct Western Gas Magazine, and later GAS Magazine, BPN launched as
a separate journal in June 1939. BPN’s inaugural June 1939 issue featured an article by W.T. Joplin, Vice
President of Butane Corp. of Phoenix, AZ, who wrote about the utility of LP-Gas on guest ranches in his
state. Another article featured an appliance dealer who boosted sales of LP-Gas ranges through the use of
a demonstration trailer that was equipped as a fully operational modern kitchen.
BPN has been there for all the highlights of the past seven-plus decades, from the Great Depression of the
1930’s, the industry’s efforts to provide fuel for the war effort in the 1940’s, the expansion of LP-Gas use for water heating, space heating,
agriculture, and carburetion in the 1950s, through the energy crisis of the 1970’s and the “Arctic blast” winter of 2013-14.
William (Bill) Clark, who joined BPN as an editor in 1958, acquired the magazine in 1969 and served as company chairman until his death in
1988. BPN has continued serving readers under the leadership of Clark’s daughter, Natalie Peal, and in the years to come will go on helping
propane dealers obtain the latest news in areas such as safety, customer service, supply issues, equipment, autogas, and office operations.
Full-Circle Announces Their New Website
At an industry tradeshow in 1991, a concept was developed for
a highly engineered and progressive new design for a hose-end
swivel attached to the filler valve used to make transfers of LP-Gas
from a bobtail delivery truck hose. Walter Smith, President of Smith
Precision Products, founded Full-Circle later that year and in the
process was the first company to list a swivel with the Underwriters Laboratories for LP-Gas service. The SMAC-1 swivel laid the
foundation for designs to follow.
Following the SMAC-1, the modern day SMAC-series 90° and
straight-through swivels for hose reels, bulkheads, and loading
arms were patented a year later. In 1995, the SMAC-1 was reduced to half its size and weight with the design and patent of the
JO-1, named as one of the best designed products by Design News
Magazine.
With these new designs, the company expanded by moving its production facilities from Newbury Park, CA to Yucca Valley, CA where
all Full-Circle swivels are manufactured today. Currently they offer
over 50 different swivel models ranging from ¾” to 2” pipe size for
LP-Gas, Natural Gas, Anhydrous Ammonia and Refined Fuels. FullCircle also manufactures vent flanges to safely purge, evacuate, or
isolate a meter or other equipment in the pipework.
With highly engineered products being the driving force for Full-Circle’s product line, they are pleased to announce their new website
which features interactive cross-sections and SolidWorks videos to
allow the user to see how the product works. Full-Circle’s website
also contains all of their literature available for download and incorporates user friendly software when viewed from a tablet or smartphone. To view the new website, visit www.fullcircleswivels.com.
