Own test track
Quattroruote is the only
Russian car magazine, which
possesses its own test track (certificate of ISO
9001-2008). It is located in Italy, near Milan ( Wairau
Province of Pavia ). The Quattroruote’s test track was built
by Domus publishing house in 1995. On the area of 17 000 sq.
m are laid 8,5 km of various roads. The longest of them - ring
highway (2.65 km) is used to assess car’s controllability. The 2 km
long high-speed track is used for acceleration and braking tests.
Features of ride comfort are determined on humps. Moreover, the
test track includes a special area for testing SUVs. Test results are
processed in the laboratory of the test track.
On closed roads of the test center can be tested all driving types.
Different road conditions can be created all year around by using special
pavements and developed system of water supply.
High-accuracy professional equipment is used to measure the parameters of the
vehicle’s motion during the test. Detailed results of measurements are published
in constant headings «Test track», «Sprint», «Special test», accompanied by
necessary comments.
During the seven-year history of the Russian edition of Quattroruote, the most
interesting models of Russian market were sent from Russia to Italy for testing: Lada
Kalina hatchback, Hyundai Solaris sedan, Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra, Opel Astra,
Toyota Camry, Nissan Teana, Kia Mohave, Tagaz Tager, Tagaz Roadpartner,
Hyundai i40 wagon...
Furthermore, by request of the Russian edition, specialists of test center can carry out
almost all high-precision studies or trials, test certain modification of vehicle or test the
functioning of its individual units.
