facility accommodates medically compromised
and physically disabled patients requiring
inpatient behavioral health treatment. Treatment
may include group and individual therapies,
medication evaluation and monitoring, nursing
services, occupational therapy, social work
services, education, and support services. Acute
inpatient treatment is accessed through
emergency department evaluations.
Intensive Outpatient Program
The mental health Intensive Outpatient Program
(IOP) is provided at UM Harford Memorial
Hospital and is a structured, group therapy
program for adults who are experiencing
significant mental health issues that interfere

opportunity to explore how patients understand
themselves and others. Participants actively take
part in treatment outcomes and receive

from a highly qualified and licensed behavioral
health team. Patients and providers may call
