THE CASH TOLL BOOTHS ON 183A WILL CLOSE DOWN
DECEMBER 1ST.
Cashless toll collection will make 183A faster and safer for everyone.
You will no longer have to stop at a tollbooth to pay your toll. Instead,
if you don't have a TxTag, you will be sent a bill in the mail. This
innovative approach will save you time while reducing fuel
consumption and cutting vehicle emissions.
TOLL PAYMENT OPTIONS
Pay-By-Mail
Drivers who prefer not to use TxTag, TollTag
or EZ TAG can pay their 183A tolls using a
convenient Pay-By-Mail option. There's no
need to prepay or register. Simply use the
toll road and wait for your bill to show up in
the mail.
Equipment on the expressway will take a
picture of your license plate, and a Toll Bill
will be sent to the vehicle owner’s address.
Pay-By-Mail customers are given 30 days to
pay their bill either in person, via check,
online or over the phone.
Depending on which toll roads you use, you
may be issued separate Toll Bills.

TxTag is the most convenient way to travel on
toll roads throughout Texas. Plus, with TxTag,
you'll save up to 25% on every toll.
Even if you rarely use toll roads, TxTag may
still make sense for you. Much like a prepaid

then your tolls are deducted from your
account as you drive.

CASHLESS IS THE FUTURE OF TOLLING
All-electronic cashless tolling is coming to toll roads across the
country. 183A will be the fifth cashless toll road in Texas. Cashless
toll roads are already open in Dallas, Houston* and Tyler.
While cash will not be collected on the 183A toll road, it is
accepted as a payment method for TxTag and for Toll Bills.
*The Westpark Tollway and the Fort Bend Tollway in Houston only allow EZ TAG, TollTag and TxTag
customers. They do not offer a Pay-By-Mail option.
