the introduction of the COOLPIX 4200 and Coolpix
5200. Both easy-to-operate compact digital cameras
that boast high-level comprehensive quality and a
selection of useful functions.

Superior image quality begins with a newly developed
3x Zoom-Nikkor lens with a focal range of 7.8 to
23.4mm (equivalent to a 38-114mm lens in 35mm
format). Featuring aspherical elements and an ED
glass element, it achieves a significant reduction in
aberration. It also retracts to contribute greatly to
the overall slim dimensions of the body. The COOLPIX
4200 has an effective 4.0 megapixels while the

Advanced Red-eye Reduction, which provides
automatic in-camera correction. Convenient and
useful in a range of situations, it also activates
automatically upon selection of Night portrait mode.
The COOLPIX 4200 and 5200 achieves rapid
power-up and swift, precise autofocus, which allows
photo opportunities to be seized at any time. It also
offers high-speed continuous shooting too, allowing
the user to capture fast action as it happens.
Additionally, the COOLPIX 4200 and 5200 have
an easy-to-see GUI, which allows the user to select
desired settings and functions in minimal time, with

White balance offers a choice of Automatic, Preset

color information obtained by the Speedlight. The
SB-600 also features FV lock, which gives the user

Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce the
introduction of the COOLWALKER MSV-01, an ideal
accompaniment to digital cameras for the easy
storage and viewing of digital images.
Image transfer to the MSV-01 is extremely easy, due
to its compatibility with CompactFlash, Microdrive
and even SD cards*. It is also capable of supporting
JPEG, TIFF, NEF (RAW), Motion JPEG, and WAV
formats. Perhaps most impressive of all, the MSV01 is empowered with 30GB of hard disk space,
giving it the capability to store an incredible 10,000
images (approx.)**. What’s more, its dimensions of
approximately 81 X 130 X 35mm and light weight
of approximately 350g make it comfortable to carry
anywhere and view images on its easy-to-view, builtin, 117,600-pixel, 2.5-inch color LCD.
Direct printing is possible without the need for a PC
through support of PictBridge. It can also be easily
hooked up to a PC using the included cable for swift
image transfer via Hi-Speed USB 2.0. And because
it is compatible with both CompactFlash and
Microdrive, images can be easily handled by shops
offering print services.
The MSV-01 can also be hooked up to a television,
allowing the user to make the most of the handy

tarted it as a hobby back in 1997 with a FM10
but soon changed it to a FM2 with MD-12 attached.
He finds the FM10 not hardy enough so he went
to the shop and told the salesman "I want something
that can work without battery, strong and rugged,
even if I dropped it on the floor, it will still function!"
So the FM2 had been with him ever since then.
Over the years, he took up assignments mainly with
overseas NGOs basically doing photo documentary.
In between assignments, he would take the
opportunity to explore whatever interesting and
new environments he encountered with his camera.
Black and white people shot with architectural as
backdrop is his favourite. There seems to be endless
stories to be told on each images plus the concept
of being "timeless" made him stay on although
monochrome pictures are out of favour now.

At 800m above sea level, surrounded by hills, paddy fields and bamboo plantation. Every
evening, the same scene of sunset would be inspiring and like new piece of art. The hills,
plantation and forestation provided the permanent backdrop but the ever-changing cloud
patterns, the sky and moon draws the expectation of looking forward to seeing the sunset
everyday.

Our “Lo Hei” night and an opportune time to
thank our dealers and business partners who

Sumptuous dinners were served while live music
played by Dudley & Friends filled the Tudor
ballroom at Goodwood Park Hotel with great
songs and music. Our sporting MD, Iwaoka san
even played the guitar while our colleague from
Japan, Nozaki san sang to his heart content.

To make this launched a special and memorable
one and for a changed, we decided to hold it at
Fort Canning – The Gallery instead of our usual
style at the hotel.
We opt for Zen look as the theme, the ballroom
were decorated with bamboo poles and lighted
Japanese lanterns. At the reception, we had
Japanese clad girls serving drinks and a live
Jazz band playing light music at the foyer before
the actual party started.
The 4 days IT Show at Suntec Convention Hall
has just ended with a successful turnout rate
of 450,000 visitors although there were a few
major shows held just few months ago.
B e s i d e s b e i n g t h e m a i n s p o n s o r, w e
participated in the exhibition too with Alan
Photo Store representing us. The D70 was our
crowd puller, which was launched just two
weeks ago and the rest of our models were

with a welcome speech, followed by an impressive
