to second. Murphy, Schultes and Fortner rounded out the top

Trevor Walter and Murphy completed the top five.
Race day started out chilly and breezy in the morning with temp’s in the lower 50’s. The forcast was for
lower 60’s and it took most of the day to get there!
Track conditions on the motocross track were excellent
at the start of the race program but some of the woods sections were quite wet and mudday from the rain that fell prior to the event that made identifying riders a challange!
Rider turnout was spectacular and set a new record for the series! The pit area was filled to capacity and even extended to the
back National Hill area, making it look like a Motocross National was underway. Track conditions for the day: Dry and dusty.
The WNYOA race series uses a transponder system for
scoring. Mechanics and spectators can monitor their riders lap times and position in real time on several large
screen monitors near the scoring/transponder section.
When the green flag flew signaling the start of the AA class,
Kevin Kilmer led the pack into the first turn and was trailed by
Anthony Howe, Timothy Murphy II, Alex Dzikiewicz and Nathan Page. When the leaders decended the back hill and re-entered the motocross track, Dallas Mica had the lead and was followed by Davis, Murphy, Benjamin Bouwens and Tyler Shultes.
Nick Davis ( 87) won the AA division WNYOA Hare Scramble at
Broome-Tioga.
When the flag dropped for the start of the Vet AA division,
Scott Rich led the pack out of the switch-back first turn and
was trailed by Joel Grover, Mike Williams and Steve Ackley.
Rich was still in the point position when the leaders exited
the scoring area at the start of lap two. Wayne Grenewicz was
now second, Joseph Potter third, Gary Bush fourth and Grover fifth. Mike Williams diced his way through the pack and
took the lead on lap three. Grenewicz, Bush, Potter and Rich
rounded out the top five.

Rich came back and re-took the lead on lap three. Bush moved
up to second and relegated Grenewicz to third. Pottre and grover
rounded out the top five. Rich held the lead for the next lap but
was re-passed by Grenewicz on the final lap. Rich was relegated
to second. Grenewicz held on to take the win. Rich, Potter, Bush
and Grover closed out the top five.
Rider turnout for round 3 of the WNYOA Hare Scramble Series at
Broome-Tioga set a record for rider attendance which caused the race
program to be delayed because riders were still in line registering when
the promoted time for racing was to begin.
Wayne Grenewicz (122) topped the podium of the VET AA division at
round 3 of the WNYOA Hare Scramble Series at Broome-Tioga.
Bradely Aman (5) and Jeff Pickens (86) lead the start of the Quad AA
