The Aqua-TraXX® PBX flow path has been
designed with a proportionally balanced cross­
section (PBX) to optimise turbulence in the
emitter to obtain:

Installation
The double “blue” stripe must always face up during installation for warranty
validity;
Aqua-TraXX® can be installed underground, under black plastic film/mulch or on
the surface;
During installation avoid pulling, cutting, perforating or tearing it;
If the soil is infested with insects which can damage the tube then some form of soil
treatment must be considered;
To avoid clogging, flush the main and secondary lines before connecting Aqua-TraXX®;
When installing underground or under mulch, pressurize Aqua-TraXX® within 12 hours;
Use only water-soluble fertilizers and flush the lines of residues before terminating irrigation;
It is advisable to mount vacuum breaker valves on the sub mains to avoid the possibility of impurities being
sucked back through the outlets of the Aqua-TraXX® during shutdown of the system;
When using transparent mulch, Aqua-TraXX® must be laid underground. Drops of condensate on the bottom
of the plastic may act as a magnifying glass, concentrating sunlight and possibly leading to holes.

Installation
The double “blue” stripe must always face up during installation for
warranty validity;
During installation avoid pulling, cutting, perforating or tearing it;
If the soil is infested with insects which can damage the tube then some form
of soil treatment must be considered;
To avoid clogging, flush the main and secondary lines before connecting Aqua-TraXX®;
When installing underground or under mulch, pressurize Aqua-TraXX® within 12 hours;
Use only water-soluble fertilizers and flush the lines of residues before terminating irrigation;
It is advisable to mount vacuum breaker valves on the sub mains to avoid the possibility of impurities
being sucked back through the outlets of the Aqua-TraXX® during shutdown of the system;
When using transparent mulch, Aqua-TraXX® must be laid underground. Drops of condensate on the
bottom of the plastic may act as a magnifying glass, concentrating sunlight and possibly leading to holes.

The low density polyethylene hose allows
transport of water and nutrients in all
applications in which use of on-line drippers is
preferable or where secondary or branch lines
are required.
For above-ground flower and horticultural
greenhouse crops, use of the white hose is

Valve designed to extract air from pipes, large filters, tanks
or any similar equipment which must work without the
presence of air.

At system shutdown the valve prevents pipe
collapse by allowing atmospheric air into the

The release stage ends as water reaches the
inside of the valve. It exerts continuous automatic
control, eliminating any residual pocket of air that

It prevents pipe collapse, because pressure decreasing.

2OCAD® is an integrated application whose aim is to simplify the
process of designing irrigation systems, both for agriculture (H2OCAD®
3.0 Pro) and turf (3.0 H2OCAD® Light), allowing a significant reduction of
designing times.
H2OCAD® is useful not only to design but also to calculate everything you
need: head losses, evapotranspiration (FAO formula), sizing of electrical
cables, pumps, irrigation areas and much more.
The new version of the software includes a powerful vectorial drawing
engine and a new graphic interface. The
quantity of calculation formulas have been
enlarged to provide the end-user with a
more powerful design tool.
The new H2OCAD® software utilizes a
complete and comprehensive database
(5.000 products, 13.000 varieties of plants,
6.000 climate data. This database is utilized
by the computational algorithms and allows
you to fully comply with the UNI irrigation
requirements).

Filtration
How to choose the right modeI
Caution
Before choosing the most suitable filtering system
it is necessary to know some basic parameters:
The filters and filters header in this catalogue
are intended exclusively for the separation of
particles in suspension that accompany the water,
independently of the system used: centrifuge,
sand or disc. Every system chosen guarantees the
retention of small solid particles, thereby avoiding
any obstruction in the irrigation system used.
Origin of the water to be filtered
Maximum flow rate
Backwash flow rate
Maximum and minimum working pressure
Destination of the filtered water
Type of dripper
Electric power availability voltage
It is fundamental to know the level of dirt and
the percentage of solids in suspension contained
in the water to be filtered, for this reason a
physical analysis of the water should be carried
out (see check list below). The concentration
of dirt, evaluated as the percentage of solids
in suspension in p.p.m. (part per million) for
analytical purposes will determine, again after the
judgement of a qualified personnel: both the type
of filter to adopt and the number of filters to use.
Consider that water containing a concentration of
solids in suspension above 400 p.p.m. must stand
for a sufficient period in an artificial lake before
being filtered so decantation can take place.
The filtering system that are shown in the following
in pages are not able to follow any chemical - or
biological - type filtering.
Very frequently, following the addition of fertiliser
to the irrigation water, the precipitation of
loose substances is produced that subsequently
agglomerate and create blockages in the irrigation
system emission channels.
To avoid this problem the most suitable type
of fertiliser should be researched by qualified
personnel in function of to the chemical
characteristics of the water to be filtered.
The use of satellite filters at the water input in the
irrigation sector eliminates the risk of the group’s
being obstructed, caused by the reasons outlined
above and by accidental problems caused by the
recirculation of filtered water at the input of the
irrigation section. The weight and the volume of the
filters and batteries shown in the manual may be
changed without warning.
The flow rates indicated are approximate: for the
choice of all irrigation systems, a safety coefficient
should be added that guarantees their functioning.

Water quality analysis
Take two samples: one sample will have
to be acidified to avoid the precipitation
of any bivalent iron in the solution, while
the second will serve for the remaining
parameters.
Take the samples quickly to the chosen
laboratory and agree other possible
methods of sampling.
Attention: If well water is sampled operate
the pump for a suitable period of time to
bring the sample into line with average
(4 - 10 hours of cleaning out).

measurement of the particle that will
be filtered. Saying that a net filtration
area is 0,115 mm means that all the
particles that are larger than that are
physically held back by the mesh, the
discs or the sand in the filter.
Suppose we have a wire with a diameter of 0,055 mm, and a
value of the net filtration area of 0,115 mm; that would be the
equivalent of a 150 Mesh net.
This is given by the following formula:

“Injector flow rate”. If, in practice, the injector
does not really exists this flow rate, the
suction capacity will not meet the data given.

Therefore “d” = 40%
This means that we can use a by-pass installation, there is no
need for a booster pump.

Operation
Installed directly in the water supply line, the Dosatron operates by
using the flow of water as the power source. The water activates the
Dosatron, which takes up the required percentage of concentrate
directly from the container and injects it into the water.
Inside the Dosatron, the concentrate is mixed with the water, and
the water pressure forces the solution downstream. The dose of
concentrate will be directly proportional to the volume of water
entering the Dosatron, regardless of variations in flow or pressure,
which may occur in the main line.

- Install necessary protections for excess flow,
excess pressure and water hammer (antihammer flow/pressure device).
- It is recommended that you should place an
anti-siphon valve on the downstream side
of the dosing pump in installations in which
there is a risk of siphoning.
- Install your Dosatron on a total by-pass line
Note: it is preferable to choose a Dosatron with a
maximum flow capacity higher than the required
irrigation flow in order to optimize its life.
