Deborah Kelly
It has been an extreme pleasure to be the club treasurer for the past two years.
Thank you for allowing me to have this position. Don't forget your dues are to be

Membership News
by Alice Iodice
First of all I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New
year.
It has been my pleasure to serve as your Membership Director for the past two
years. Your new Membership Director will be Marian Ambrosino, and I'm sure she
will do a bang up job for you and the club.
As of this writing we now have 297 members.
We have added two new members since our last meeting:
Hoyt (Larry) and Judy Johnston who live on Forestbrook Rd in Myrtle Beach. They have a 2002
Silver Convertible. Their interests include fishing, boating, and traveling. Here is another couple
who may be joining us on the trips the club takes during the year. Welcome to the club and enjoy
meeting new friends and having fun.
If you have any address, telephone numbers, new/additional Corvette or email address changes
that need to be made to the roster, please notify me as soon as possible so I will be able to present Marian with an updated copy of the roster.
Thanks you again for all your help during the past two years.
Good bye for now.

Director at Large
Phil Gengler
With 2015 coming to a close, I would like to thank Charlie Torregrossa, Deborah Kelly, Alice Iodice, and the energetic Jim Spores. These fellow board
members made the Myrtle Beach Corvette Club one of the premier clubs in
our area. They have worked relentlessly for the success of our Club.
As we move forward into 2016 the number of members of our Club continues
to grow. Several members have stepped up to take office, Ken Belford, Kevin
Goetll, Marian Ambrosino. I look forward to serving on the Board with you. Also Linda Meaders, our Car Show Chair.
Every one of us should be proud to be part of this club. It takes all the members working together to make sure we achieve our goal to raise money for our charities.
As we move on, if any member has any suggestions as to how our club can get more recognition, feel free to contact me.
Secretary’s Desk
Susan Woldanski
Hi Folks,
The minutes of the November meeting were distributed to all members. As
of this date, there are no changes or corrections. Mike and I are finally back
home after a 3-week trip to Europe in October and then an unexpected trip
to NJ for a family emergency. I am looking forward to working with the newly
elected board members for next year. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year.

ACTIVITIES & UPCOMING EVENTS
Activities Central
by Jim Spore
Where has this year gone?? Seems like I just put all my Christmas decorations away and now it’s time to get them all out again. I just hope all the
lights that worked when I put them in the boxes work when I take them out
this year. I guess time has flown by because it has been a busy year filled
with lots of personal travel and a full schedule of MBCC activities. And
there’s still more to come!
November started out just like October ended and that was with a trip to
Hilton Head for the Concours d’ Elegance car show. What a trip that was!! To start out with the
weather was perfect the entire weekend for the 15 couples that made the trip. Each morning we’d
meet for breakfast, then we’d take off for the show. With a show as big as this, we broke into
smaller groups for the rest of the day so everyone could take in the show at their own pace. I
have to say at the end of the day we were all pooped, but after a shower and a quick nap for
some of us, we all got together for a social hour at the hotel’s beautiful pool before dinner. All
three dinners turned out great. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again – if you haven’t been to a
Concours show, you need to add it to your bucket list!
Our other November get together was a lunch cruise in to Drunken Jack’s Restaurant in Murrells
Inlet. It was another nice day for 39 club members to enjoy lunch on the water.
One more month to go, and here’s what we have planned. Tuesday December 1st we’ll have our
annual mystery cruise. As of this writing we have 40 people signed up. This mystery cruise will
start a little later and go into the early evening. We will all meet at Lowes Food in Little River and
leave at 1:00 PM so make sure you have lunch or bring a snack since we will not have dinner until
4:00. You also need to dress warm (in layers) and maybe even have a blanket in the car since
we will be outside for a period of time. Last, make sure you bring your two way radios. It will be
dark when we leave and I don’t want anyone getting lost.
December 5th is the Toy Run to Middle River Air Station, but sorry it’s too late to sign up. We will
caravan from the Lowes Food in Little River and leave at 8:00. It’s about a two hour drive, but we
will make a quick stop along the way.
Saturday December 12th is our Annual Holiday Party. It will be held at the beautiful Hilton Hotel at
Kingston Plantation. There will be live music, good food, raffle prizes, and a holiday gift I know
everyone can use. All of this is just $60 per couple and $30 for a single. As of this writing, there
are only 58 people signed up for the party, which really disappoints me since I know you will have
a good time. With close to 300 members I’d hoped we would get much closer to 100 people.
Please MAKE MY DAY by signing up today! Just send me an email saying you want to go, then
send your check made out to MBCC to: MBCC, PO Box 4836, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29597.
THANKS!!

OUR 2015 CHARITIES
VETERAN’S WELCOME HOME AND RESOURCE CENTER
WWW.VETERANSWELCOMEHOMEANDRESOURCECENTER.ORG
A non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans who live in Horry,
Georgetown and Brunswick Counties with assistance in learning about and applying for benefits. They help veterans transition back into civilian life, helping with
benefits, job service and counseling. The resource center was founded by veterans
and others who support veterans and their rights and are all unpaid volunteers.
They are continually contacting our state, local and federal representatives in hopes
of getting them to improve Veterans benefits.
They accept no funding from any government agency and support their efforts by
donations only. They have helped over 1000 veterans this past year not knowing
where to turn to get benefits due them, plus assisting many with paying bills.
