Thomas Concerts Presents:
Benefit Concert for “Josh”
Josh Shupak, 12 years old, and his Father Don, were badly burned in a
freak accident involving a small campfire. Flames shot into the air and
ignited their clothing. Josh’s father stumbled to the ground in shock as
others put out the flames. Frightened, Josh ran from the flames. By the
time the flames were put out, Josh had burns over 85% of his body. Don had
over 50% of his body burned.
Josh and Don were taken by air ambulance to get medical treatment. Josh
was taken to the Shriner’s Burn Center in Galveston and Don was taken to
to the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Because of extensive burns, Josh has had quite a few surgeries already
and has had to have some of his fingers trimmed back, as well as his ears.
His mother, Cheryl, has said he has been very brave throughout this traggic
event. Cheryl is not working and has had to relocate to Galveston to be nearby
her son during his surgical procedures, so they need financial assistance.
Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
Josh attended public school in Magnolia and was known as a “sweet kid,”
and he is very well liked and missed by his schoolmates.
All proceeds of this Benefit Concert will go to Cheryl Shupak.
