at least one year’s residency in Arkansas. This
proof can be your Arkansas driver’s license
with an issue date of one year or older. You
cannot be eligible for a resident hunting and
fishing license in another state or country to
qualify as a resident.
How do I purchase this permit as a gift?
Simply fill out the application with the
recipient’s name, address, phone number and
include your payment. A letter will be sent
announcing your gift, requesting the recipient
complete the application and provide proof
of residency. In the case of a minor, proof
from the custodial parent or guardian will be

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission offers
a Lifetime Resident Sportsman’s Permit that
entitles the holder to hunt and sport fish in
the state for the remainder of his or her life.
The $1,000 cost offers considerable savings
and convenience to the holder and supports
conservation programs. Best of all, the permit
remains valid if the holder moves to another
state.

Permit holders are extended the privileges
covered by the Resident Sportsman’s License,
Resident Fisheries Conservation License,
State Duck Stamp, Resident Trout Permit and
all Leased Land Permits. Permit hunts on
Wildlife Management Areas require permit
applications to be filled out. If drawn, the fee
is waived.

not included. Permit holders also receive a
lifetime subscription to Arkansas Wildlife, the

parent’s or guardian’s driver’s license is required.
Notify AGFC in case of a change of name or address.
The Lifetime Permit is nontransferable and is valid for the remainder of the permit holder’s life, even if the
permit holder moves out of state. The permit and a common form of identification must be carried by the
sportsman while hunting or fishing.
Conviction of violating Arkansas Game and Fish regulations can result in revocation of the Lifetime Permit.
