Description
The 328 GTS model, together with the fixed roof 328 GTB, were the final developments of the normally aspirated transverse V8 engine 2-seat series. The 328
figures in the model title referred to the total cubic capacity of the engine, 3.2 litres, and 8 for the number of cylinders. The new model was introduced at the
1985 Frankfurt Salon alongside the Mondial 3.2 series.
Essentially the new model was a revised and updated version of the 308, albeit with various changes to the 3-litre engine. Stylistically the 328 model stayed
very true to its predecessor's iconic 70's silhouette. The most notable change being a small roof spoiler just aft of the driver. Subtle changes were also made
to soften the wedge profile such as moulded bumpers and a more petite front grill. In conjunction with the 328's exterior the cars interior benefitted from more
supportive seats and an overall superior build quality throughout.
This superb and unique example is finished in Nero over a tan hide interior, (the majority of 328s were supplied in Rosso and alternative coloured cars have
become highly sought after). The car was delivered to its first owner Michael Webb an avid collector of Ferraris on 11 May 1989. Being ordered through Nigel
Mansell's Emblem Sports Cars Ltd in January a year prior with a specification of optional air conditioning, ABS, and a rear aerofoil. At the time of delivery the
market was rapidly rising so the decision to put the car up for sale was quickly made, however the day the car was offered for sale would later become known
as "Black Monday". Refusal to accept a subordinate offer lead to the decision to store the car in apprehension of the market to return to its former position.
Thus, the 328 was properly decommissioned with all fluids drained, raised on axle stands and the car covered in a heated garage for the next 25 years.
Awoken from its slumber 25 years later, the car is being offered in as exceptional condition as the day first purchased. Being stored so soon after new, the

cars shows only 590 Miles on its odometer and retains its original books, tolls, jack, roof cover, sales brochure, and original purchase invoice amongst further
additional documents. To assure the car drives as new, the car has been recommissioned with work including a major mechanical service, overhauling of the
fuel injection system, braking system and the suspension. The cars condition is spectacular, without doubt the most exciting 328 we have seen at DK, the
combination of mileage, unrepeatable condition and spectacular RHD specification including all of the cars original equipment.
Supplied in this stunning combination and superb condition, this 328 GTS is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner immediately. Viewings are available at our
showroom, which is based just outside London.
