MOMS Group
(Ministry of Moms Sharing)
This is our mission statement: As sisters in Christ, we are called to prayerfully support our roles as women and mothers of faith. We do this, guided by
the love of Jesus Christ and His mother, Mary, through discussion, personal reflection, prayer, and sharing.
Did you know that HNM Parish has a prayer group specifically tailored to the mothers of our Parish? Whether your children are teenagers driving for the first time or you’re still up to your elbows in diapers, this group is for you! You are cordially invited to join our
group the second Wednesday of each month for prayer, reflection, sharing, and discussion. We meet in the Day Chapel of the church
from 9:30-11:00. The remaining meetings of the year are
April 15th, and May 13th.
We are currently reading the book Imitating Mary: Ten Marian Virtues for the Modern Mom by Marge Fenelon. You do not have to be
reading the book to join us, all are welcome! We also have babysitting available so bring your kiddos. The more, the merrier!
If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Keller at [email protected]/(909) 630-3742 or Janene Frank at [email protected]/(909)

HOLY NAME OF MARY BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM MAKES HISTORY!
Congratulations to our boys’ varsity basketball team. They had an
awesome season. The team went 8-0 in league and were crowned
2015 Mountain East league Champions! Their greatest accomplishment;
qualifying to play in the CYO Boys Varsity Basketball Final 4 will go down
in the history books as the first HNM sports team to make the Final
4. Our season ended with a 1 point loss in double overtime. It was
however the proudest moment in my coaching career as our boys
played their hearts out. They gave it everything they had and a little bit
more. They are all champions!
I would like to thank Mrs. K, Father Rich, Erich Rentmeester, Coach
Wally, Coach Ralf, HNM teachers, HNM alumni and all the parents for
their tremendous support. I especially would like to thank each one of the players on our team for being such great team
players. The opportunity to coach these outstanding young men over the last few years has been a blessing and one of
the high lights of my life.
The HNM Boys Varsity Basketball team dedicates their season to Mrs. K. We would all like to wish her an amazing
retirement.
Thank you.
Coach Frank Beltran
LENTEN COLLECTION
We journey with CRS Rice Bowl to Lebanon to be present to a people who themselves are on a journey. Here we meet a
family of Syrian refugees, a family perhaps not so unlike our own. We are challenged through our almsgiving this week to
reach out to those who are forced to flee their homes, who are seeking shelter in a land of peace.
GOSPEL
:
FOURTH SUNDAY OF LENT
John 3:14-21
Reflecting the Word
Lent encourages us to look deeply at ourselves and examine our need for repentance, change, and God’s forgiveness.
This can be difficult for adults, as we may be embarrassed, or set in our ways. Sunday’s reading helps us see sin as
something that separates us from God, rather than something to be ashamed about. God wants to reconcile us to himself.
The more open we are with ourselves and with God, the easier it is to keep choosing conversion.
……On the Way to Mass I wonder how you feel in your heart after you do something that you know is wrong, like
tell a lie. How do you feel after you tell the truth and apologize?
On the Way Home from Mass…… In this Gospel, we hear that people who commit sins hate the light, because they do
not want their wrongdoing exposed. But people who serve God love the light, because it helps them to live as God’s
beloved children. I wonder what that means.
