PARTNER UPDATE
GAULA FOR A DAY
We all have the right to live in
freedom and safe, but there are
still criminals out in the world
working for the opposite. We are
all exposed to these threats and it
is our duty to stay alert and
prepared for whatever situation
we may face.
Armed Forces all around the world focus on trying to
provide a safe environment for the entire population,
one example of the Special Forces is the Unified
Action Group for Personal Freedom, “GAULA” for
their acronym in Spanish. This group was established
in 1996 by the National Army of Colombia and is
dedicated exclusively to fight extortion and
kidnapping by
dismantling criminal gangs and
conducting hostage rescues when needed.
The GAULA group from the
National Police along “Those who deny freedom to others,
deserve it not for themselves”
with SMI Security and
