ROSE DUET - diptyque Paris
ROSE DUET
A duo of diptyque’s iconic scents
In 2013, diptyque continues its variation
on the theme of the rose.
From the delicate rose garden to the elegance
of the English garden, ROSE DUET takes users
on a journey to a garden of delights.
ROSE DUET
The new, limited edition
diptyque candle
diptyque’s newest creation was inspired
by the mysterious Rose Duet, a hybrid
rose well-known to botanists for its unique
petals, which are light on one side and dark
on the other.
A fragrant duo of two iconic diptyque
scents: ROSES and BAIES
ROSE DUET offers a unique fragrance
experience: two iconic diptyque scents
combined into one candle. The perfumer
now a master in the art of candle-making,
has juxtaposed two waxes with different
fragrances, ROSES and BAIES, to create
a combination of unusual, poetic scents.
ROSES, captures the essence of the intoxicating
scent of a freshly cut bouquet of this iconic
flower. This honeyed perfume fills the air
with its magnificent scent.
Like an extravagant bouquet of roses
swooning in the freshness of evening,
ROSE DUET, offers a unique scent experience.
Although the rose still dominates, the leafy
green and spontaneous notes of blackcurrant
form an original backdrop for the unique
burst of floral fragrance.
Inspired by a stroll in an English garden, BAIES
expresses the tender freshness of a bouquet
of roses sprinkled with blackcurrant leaves.
All the magic of ROSE DUET is expressed
in this duo of floral scents, designed to gently
stimulate the senses.
Graphic duos: Flowers and bayadere stripes
in pale and dark pink.
To express the poetry and freshness
of ROSE DUET, diptyque has drawn from
the rich heritage of English wallpaper
to produce a modern looking design.
On the box, the graphic expression
of the dual nature of the candle is represented
by a succession of interwoven stripes
of roses and blackcurrant. The fine outlines
of the branches are sketched to look like
shadows, slipping between the pink-shaded
bayadere stripes.
This motif is repeated, with larger flowers
and stronger stripes, in monochrome fuchsia
on the powdery pink glass, for a more stylized
effect.
Set against a colorful background, diptyque
devotees will recognize the distinguishing
arrangement of pink capital letters along
with the famous oval used on all diptyque
designs.
