After all the fun of Steamfest (April 9, 10)
MRAG plays host to the Powerhouse
Museum’s Trainspotting exhibition
(April 11- May 22). Join us on a Pipsqueak
adventure to see if we can spot the trains!
We will read a book about a train and sing
a train song too, finishing it off by making
a train of our very own.
Inspired by the techniques used in the
Freshwater/Saltwater (March 11 – May 1)
exhibition, students will use wooden board
and string to create complex collograph
designs they can use for printing multiple
times. They will then experiment with a range
of collograph techniques.

Using collage techniques, students will

inspired by the diverse artists showcased in
the current Art Factory exhibition. Cutting
and pasting to your heart’s desire (with
some fun songs and games thrown in).
Inspired by Denese Oates Sculptures
(March 11 – May 1) exhibition, Pipsqueakers
will create shiny sculptures with Styrofoam
and aluminum foil, and play drama games
and activities that encourage them to
think about big things and little things.
