WELCOME
We are delighted to offer Preshil children the opportunity to receive music
lessons from private tutors, during school hours.
Our instrumental music program has been running for many years,
providing our children with opportunities to participate in solo and group
performances, within the school and at functions outside the school. Our
tutors are highly qualified, professional musicians who, as well as
providing lessons to our children, regularly perform at outside of the
school.
This program is one part of the total Music Program at Preshil and
supports the school’s deep commitment to supporting a vibrant and
inclusive musical culture where musical expression is considered a right
and an essential element in our community life.
For any queries or concerns about the instrumental program, instrumental
teachers or the availability of teachers for particular instruments, please
feel free to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Karoline Kuti

ATTENDANCE
Children are encouraged to attend scheduled lessons without needing to be
reminded. However, Arlington students will be collected from class. In the 10s

classes. If an Arlington child does not arrive on time the music teacher will go and
get them.
Students in Year 7 will be given one term to learn how to get themselves to their
music lessons. Teachers will collect them from class if they do not arrive for the
first term only. After this time, it is expected that all senior students will know their
time and will be able to bring themselves. Students not arriving will be marked as
absent and the lesson will be charged.

availability this may require, in some cases, a longer lesson. In the event this is
not possible, monies will be credited to your account for the following term.
